Speak to him, and he’ll mention a missing horse—triggering the side quest Runaway Horse. Your task is to track down the missing animal. Ask around the nearby villagers, and they’ll point you toward a spot further west.
Exit the ranch and follow a small canyon nestled between three hills. There, you’ll find a water well with the missing horse stranded on a tiny island. Wondering how to rescue it? Don’t worry! In Echoes of Wisdom, horses don’t need wide bridges to leap across. Use your Echo ability to create an improvised path—stack old beds or other flat objects to form a bridge. Once the path is set, the horse will jump over with ease.
After rescuing the horse and returning to the ranch, the owner will be so grateful that he’ll let you choose one of three horses to rent. That’s right—you can rent a horse for as long as you like! Whether you’re lost in a dense forest or stranded atop a mountain, just summon a carrot and watch your horse gallop to your side!
