2. Story Missions (RF02)

Parker Missions

Welcome to Mars

Once you take control of your character, you start this mission. It’s really pretty simple. Just run down the hill right in front of you and destroy the laboratory and the tower. Your brother gives you remote charges to set or you can just use your sledgehammer. It doesn’t really matter which you use. When you destroy the buildings, you will notice some pieces that shine. This is the salvage Dan Mason was talking about. Collect it when you destroy anything, not just for this mission but throughout the game. If you want to have some fun throw the charges on the side of the tower facing the laboratory. If you did enough damage to it when you blow it up, it will tip over onto the laboratory and do a good amount of damage to it as well. After both buildings are destroyed, return to Dan at the top of the hill.

Better Red Than Dead

Once you start this mission, hop in the vehicle in the garage right next to you. You will notice a yellow marker on the ground pointing you in the direction of the objective, simply follow it until you reach the building. When you pull in front of the garage where the marker ends, get out of the vehicle. Run up the stairs in front of you and you will tell the commander that you’re there. There is a red crate at the top of the stairs that you can fill up your ammo with at any time. Start to destroy the big building at the top with the objective marker on it in the mini-map.

You will notice on each side of the building that there are some hydrogen tanks. These will cause a small explosion when set off so I suggest using them to quickly bring the building down. You can pick them up and move them if you’d like to strategize the explosions a little bit. Also, note that on the north side of the building is a fairly large gas tank that will also explode when shot at. Shoot at the explosive tanks and use your charges when they’re all gone to bring the building down. When you deal a good amount of damage you will be warned that the EDF is coming. After you finally bring it down, they will arrive.

Start to head down the stairs that you came from. Try to be quick once the building goes down because they will just be getting out of their vehicles. Kill any EDF soldiers that get in your way and hop in your vehicle immediately to make a quick getaway. Follow the markers in the exact same path that you did to get here to get back to the safe house. Halfway back, there will be a few soldiers waiting for you on the right side of the road and one will follow you in a vehicle. Simply ignore them and head back to the safe house. As you enter the safehouse, the alert level will drop to green and you will complete the mission.

Ambush

Head southeast and follow the marker until you reach the small town where Samanya is located. When you get there, you will hear that she is being ambushed and you have to help her. Jump out of your vehicle as you arrive and run to the building in the back left corner. Take out the five EDF soldiers over there to help her out. Follow her after you kill those five EDF soldiers up the hill and you will see an ammo bin here. Fill up on ammo if you need to. Grab the hydrogen tanks here and throw them where the vehicles are down below as you wait a minute for the EDF to arrive.

I suggest just waiting at the ammo bin for the EDF soldiers to arrive. After the minute is up, two vehicles with EDF soldiers will pull up and they’ll all get out except for one which uses the turret on top of their vehicle. Try to take him out first. Use the small wall here for cover as you pick off the EDF soldiers one by one. Don’t let them get too close to the hill because they will try to flank you to your right. If they get close, make sure to kill them quickly. Use the hydrogen tanks to your advantage and when you finish killing all the EDF soldiers that just arrived, you will complete this mission.

*PLEASE NOTE – To unlock the final stage, you have to drop EDF control to zero. To do this, complete guerilla missions around here and destroy any EDF property you see. Look for the blue star icons on your map and destroy those to drop their control quickest. Destroy any propaganda you see which are basically just billboards. You will also see red buildings on your mini-map that aren’t stars. These will also drop EDF control but only by a small amount. Just do whatever you can to drop their control to unlock the final mission in Parker. Also note that you have to drop the EDF control to zero in all sectors to play the final mission in each. I will not repeat this later on in this guide.

Start Your Engines

Watch the mission briefing for the EDF sensor towers. These will be your targets. After accepting the mission, hop in the vehicle with the marker over it. Take a left on the road in front of you and start to drive down the street. You will see the sensor towers with big yellow markers right above them. Drive down the road and destroy the first tower to the right just behind the solar panels. This is when the EDF will start following you. Continue down the road and smash through the next tower to the left. Hurry down the road and the third tower will be just after the next right turn on the right side, drive through this one.

You will immediately see the next one further down the road on the right side so smash through that. Continue down the road and you will see the next tower at the fork in the road. Smash through it and make a hard right turn. Head directly south and you will see the next tower, smash through this one. Look slightly to the right for the next tower. Drive up this hill and smash it. There is one more and make sure not to miss it. Hit the last one up here and drive straight off the cliff. Turn right again and head down the road in the same direction you just went down earlier. Drive down this road until you reach the fork again.

This time at the fork in the road, make a left turn. By this time there will be a ton of EDF on you so you will have to be pretty quick and make good turns while not missing any towers. Destroy the two at the beginning of this open area and then head west around the large rock formations. There will be two more in the back that you will have to drive through. After you smash the last tower, you will complete the mission and liberate Parker.

Alternate Strategy: On the Start Your Engine mission, there’s a somewhat easier way to complete it. After smashing down the first path, instead of turning right at the fork as your guide suggests, I recommend you go left. I tried going right several times, but ended up with so many EDF vehicles on me, it was nearly impossible and you’d end up vehicle-less way before taking out all the towers. By going left, you can smash through the towers on that side, and then hit the ramp and fly across the first valley you initially drive through to start the mission. This puts you right next to the last couple towers, which are easily destroyed therefore finishing the mission. Also, by taking the jump, you’ll lose all the EDF that are chasing you, making the mission way, way, WAY easier. If you go to the south side first, you have to go all the way around to get back to the north side, and your vehicle is usually toast by then. -Thank you Adam for submitting this strategy!!!

Dust Missions

Rallying Point

Follow the marker until you reach the rally point. Once you enter the large mining area, the alert level will already be red so don’t try to sneak up because it’s not worth it. Start off by killing the gunner in the EDF vehicle and then hop in the vehicle. Switch to the turret seat and kill the EDF soldiers around here until you get the objective complete message. You will get a message from your commander at this point to destroy the loudspeakers. You will see one with a yellow marker above it on the roof of a building where you are currently fighting. Take this one out and then look at your mini-map for the others.

Hop in the largest vehicle here, I suggest trying to grab a hold of one of the dump trucks that drive around here. There will be one on the highest level of this mining area in the southwest corner. Head over there and simply drive through the building and aim for the part of the wall directly below the speaker to make sure you destroy it. There will be two more speakers on similar buildings on the middle level of this mining area that you can destroy the same way, they will be opposite of each other on the east and west sides. Drive through the buildings to take them out easily or get out and use your charges right below the speaker to destroy them. If you can, try to steal an EDF vehicle with a gun on top.

After you destroy the fourth and final speaker, you will see the EDF commander trying to escape. Look at your map and get out of this mining area quickly to the southeast exit. You will see a roadblock where the marker is, just hang back when you reach it. The captain will leave from the structure to the left of the roadblock. Wait for him to escape and stop him however you can. If you have an EDF vehicle, shoot him with the turret on top until he gets out. If not, you will have to be creative by blocking him and blowing him up with charges. However you can, stop him and kill him to complete this mission.

Ultor Echo

Head east and follow the markers until you reach the objective marker. When you reach the objective marker, you will see a marauder vehicle. Follow it but don’t get too close. You will notice a red circle around the vehicle on your mini-map. You can go in the circle but slow down if you do so they don’t spot you. Simply follow him through a couple of twists and turns in the area until you see him go through a large rock wall. Go through it and continue driving down the path. You will see another objective marker appear on your map, simply drive towards it. You will reach the marauder vehicle and then you will be told to search the marauder base.

Head south through a small valley and you will find an abandoned building there. Once you enter the building, head for the back left corner and enter the small room with the ramps leading to the top. Go up these ramps. When you are on the upper level, head straight and to the right until you can run up a dirt path to get onto the cliff above the building. Head east along this path until you enter the next building. Once you enter it, grab your sledgehammer and start breaking through the wall to your left for a shortcut. Continue down this path and you will notice an orange smoke to the left of the next door in a small crawlspace, it’s a missing radio tag you can pick up.

Continue through the door in front of you. Go up the dirt hill until you see a large building to your left. Break down the front door to the building and head to the right. You will see some glowing objects in here. Head for the right corner and look for the objective mark. Use it to pick up a marauder device. Once you grab it, the EDF will start to advance toward your position. Head out of the building quickly and up the small dirt path. Go to the right at the split which is the way you came from and quickly run until you reach the small cliff that was in between the first and second building.

From here, you will start to see the EDF soldiers coming toward your position. Instead of fighting off the soldiers coming up the hill, fall down to the roof of the building to the right. Keep falling from rooftop to rooftop until you reach the ground. There will be three soldiers on the ground right in front of you, kill them quickly. Look to the ramp to the left for two more EDF troops. Kill them while using the cover of the wall here. Leave the building through the hole to the right of that ramp and run up this dirt path.

When you reach the top of the hill, you will already hear gunfire. Don’t worry because when you see what’s going on, there will be a big battle between the EDF and the marauders. This is your perfect opportunity to get out of there. Hop in the marauder vehicle to the left and drive quickly down the hill before anybody even notices you and starts shooting at you. Follow the markers until you reach the objective while doing your best to avoid enemy gunfire. The vehicle has a gun on it to help kill enemy soldiers in front of you if you really need to. Drive straight for the objective marker and give the device to Samanya.

Industrial Revolution

Drive down the road to the east to reach the southern entrance of this complex. Take a left turn into it and drive to the first building straight ahead of you. Make a right turn in front of the building and you will see several EDF soldiers there that will start to fire at you. Quickly drive around them to the right side of the small barricade. Be quick because they have powerful sentry guns over there. Make a right turn around the mountain and drive past the EDF vehicle with the gunner. Smash through the front door of the large garage and you will see the walker inside. Get out of your vehicle and enter the walker.

This thing can walk through buildings easily without you even having to swing your arms. Use the R1/L1 attacks to take out foot soldiers and the R2/L2 attacks to take out vehicles in your way. Head out of here the exact same way you came in and destroy any enemies that stand in your way. Don’t go out of your way to kill soldiers to the side because it won’t be worth your time, just kill any in your path. Head out of this complex and to the same spot where you started the mission. Hop in the back of the truck with the walker and take control of the gun in the back of the truck. From here, just shoot any enemy vehicles that follow you until you complete this mission. Once you cross the bridge far to the north, the guerillas will detonate it and you will complete the mission.

Ashes to Ashes…

Quickly enter a vehicle and head east to the town of Dust. Don’t worry too much about the artillery because it rarely goes after you. Take the left at the first split in the path and head to the first building on the left with an objective marker. Enter it and grab the first aid supplies. Continue down the road to the next building on the right. Enter that building and tell the citizen to run. Get out and continue down the road to the next building on the left. Break down the prison bars and free the prisoner. Go to the two buildings on the lower portion of this hill and get those two citizens out of there.

Hop back in your vehicle and head to the north. You will notice some marauders on foot on your way there. Just run over them or ignore them. Make your way to the buildings holding two more frightened citizens to the north. The east building will have a citizen on the lower level while the west building will have a citizen on the upper level. Free both of them and head back to your vehicle. Head to the southeast for the last three objective markers. You will notice some marauder vehicles start to hassle you. Just ignore them and head for the last objective markers.

Grab the files out of the southern building’s file cabinet when you finally make it there. Head to the next building and go up the stairs to use a computer. Grab the data off the computer and jump out the window to your right. Head to the last building with an objective marker and take some data from the computer in there. Now get out and into the nearest vehicle. Head straight for the safehouse to complete this mission and liberate Dust.

Badlands Missions

Catch and Release

Hop in your vehicle and head north to the objective marker until you reach Carmen. Stop to let Carmen and the other guard into your vehicle. Now drive north to the next set of objective markers. Immediately shoot the gas pumps in the gas station before they end up killing you. Slowly take out all of the enemies in this area any way you can. If you are about to die, I suggest jumping into the nearest vehicle to let your health go back up. Just keep killing all of the enemies in this area until they are all dead.

After you kill them all, move towards the vehicle with the marker over it. Enter it and one of your friends will drive while you shoot. Most of the enemies will be behind you and there will be plenty of EDF flyers chasing you down. They aren’t too difficult to shoot down so try to take them down whenever you can. The only time they will be in front of you is when you enter Badlands again from Oasis so make sure to look ahead then. However, for the rest of the mission, just look behind yourself. Keep fighting off all EDF vehicles following you until you get to where you started the mission to complete it.

Emergency Response

Before starting this mission, I suggest getting some large, strong vehicle such as a dump truck to just smash through the checkpoints easily. Follow the road north until you reach the first checkpoint. Smash through the first building on your left to kill any EDF soldiers in there and to take out the turret. If you can, destroy the first guard building on the right side of the road as well to get rid of any soldiers inside and the turret. Now you should get out and kill the remaining soldiers outside. After killing a few, the truck will tell you they have to go so be quick when clearing out the checkpoint because they can’t wait.

When you clear the first checkpoint out, hop in the EDF vehicle on the north side and follow the road north to the next checkpoint. Try to crash through the defense tower on the left side of this checkpoint first to bring that turret down. Now just slowly kill all of the EDF soldiers at this checkpoint. When your truck arrives, an EDF vehicle will come up from behind so make sure to destroy it before it destroys your truck. Finish off the EDF soldier here and the truck will advance into Oasis.

Now you will have to hold off the EDF vehicles coming toward you to make sure the first aid truck has time to get to the injured in Oasis. Grab a vehicle if you can and sit in the middle of the road that your truck just went down. There is also a light walker to the west side of this checkpoint that you can use to help fight off the EDF soldiers. Destroy any EDF soldiers coming towards you. After you clear out these EDF soldiers, another wave will be sent on their wave. Kill them the exact same way. After you clear this wave of soldiers, you will complete the mission.

Air Traffic Control

This is another mission that it would be worth your while to prepare before the mission. I suggest buying the Nano Forge and fully upgrading it or the rocket launcher with homing missiles if you haven’t already bought either one. Having one of these will help. Make sure you also have charges on you to make the mission even easier. Bring an assault rifle too to help take out ground troops. Get in a vehicle and drive to the north. Look at the radar for the objective marker and drive through the gate there.

You will see five EDF flyers still on the ground. Run up to the side of them and press the action button to place a charge on the bottom of them. You only need one charge per flyer. Kill any EDF soldiers that get in your way. Also notice a large building in the center of these helipads, shoot the top with your nano forge or rocket launcher to destroy the sentries up top because they are strong. Place charges on as many flyers as you can and once they take off, they will explode. Destroy the rest of the flyers with your Nano Forge or rocket launcher that you didn’t have a chance to put charges on.

Once you destroy them all, your commander will tell you to get out of there. If you need health, hide behind the nearest low wall or behind a crate just to fill up. Head east through a dirt path in the back. This path is mostly empty aside from maybe an EDF soldier or two. Kill any soldier in your way and head for the wall on the east side. Break through the wall and just keep running east until you get out of the airfield and liberate Badlands.

Oasis Missions

Access Denied

Head to the depot just northeast of where you accepted the mission. There will be five EDF soldiers inside. Kill them all and some guerillas will start to head over to the depot. Now get back on the road here and go east while crossing the bridge. Move close to the roadblock and you will have to defend the area from EDF troops. They will come from the south, just keep an eye on your mini-map. Stop the APC and kill the soldiers when they arrive. After they are all dead, another wave of EDF soldiers will head over from the same direction. There will be a lot more vehicles coming this time so be quick. If any get by, head straight for the depot you just came from and kill them before they kill the guerillas.

After this wave, look at your mini-map. They will start to come from the north and go around the west side of the depot. Head to the west of the depot along the road and you will see a rocket turret with a marker right above it. Take control of it and wait for the EDF vehicles to reach you and blow them up one by one. If you get there early, break down the small wall just in front of the turret so you don’t accidentally waste a shot on it. Keep destroying them until the commander says he’s all set and they start to go. Keep killing a couple more vehicles but make sure you don’t shoot the Red Faction’s vehicle as he drives by. Destroy another vehicle or two to make sure they don’t get followed and you’ll complete this mission.

Blitzkrieg

This mission is actually a lot easier than it looks. The only weapon you will need is the Arc Welder. With the Arc Welder, you can kill drivers of any vehicle without damaging the vehicle. Head straight to the south for the first tank. Sprint towards it while moving side to side a bit to make yourself a harder target until you get right next to the tank. Use a whole clip of the Arc Welder to fry the driver inside. Grab the tank and go to the northern markers. When you get close, you will hear there are two tanks instead of one, don’t worry because your tank will make quick work of them. Kill both of the tanks and you will hear the EDF is sending out a two front attack on the area. Stick to the north front since you are here and destroy the tank that is coming. Now just drive the tank to the southern front and destroy the last tank there to complete this mission.

Free Fire Zone

The Guns of Tharsis

Jump in the vehicle that is given to you once you accept the mission. Drive down the road to the west until you reach the first objective marker. Once you catch up with some of your buddies, you’ll start to see some markers appear to your right. Make sure not to pass the checkpoints because they seem to make you go through them to advance. Cut to the right and head to the right of the guard station. Make sure not to drive off the cliff to the left and go through the next marker on the right. Stick to the right side and drive down a canyon when you reach it. The canyon will split, drive to the left side when it does. Drive to the left at the next split as well.

Just follow the path of this canyon until you finally get out and see a road. Head straight for the marker in the middle of the road. Keep going straight here across the road and follow the side of the cliff through a couple more checkpoints. You’ll see some artillery strikes just behind one of the checkpoints, you’ll have to turn to the right here and go up the hill through some more checkpoints. Keep going straight for a while through the checkpoints and cross the road when you reach it. Go down a small hill and make a left turn at the bottom to follow the path of the checkpoints.

Follow the checkpoints through the bottom of this little canyon. Pay attention closely to the markers because after a couple, you will have to make a quick sharp left turn, don’t miss it. Follow this next small canyon until you go up the hill at the end. Cross the bridge to complete the objective of driving through the free fire zone. Continue down the road and make a left turn into the EDF base. Go to the left when you go through the first gate and move to the right side to the first building.

Quickly go behind the building since there will be a lot of troops here that want to kill you. Take your time in this area because troops won’t respawn giving you more time to kill everybody in this mission safely. Let them come to you and kill them safely. After they’re all dead, break down the wall and destroy the reactor inside with some charges or rocket shots. Run to the first garage you see and kill the gunner on top of the APC. Hop in it and drive straight ahead for the next reactor. Slowly approach the gate and kill everybody safely with the gun on top of the APC. When it is clear, drive through the small barricades and enter the next area. Use your turret to kill as many as you can. The gunners will be very hard to kill with the turret so you may want to just hop out before they destroy your vehicle.

I suggest hugging the left side since it’s mostly empty of troops and clearing this area. When it’s cleared out, head to the right side and behind the small guard building with the turret. You will see several more EDF soldiers here, take them out from behind this little shack safely. Head for the building and destroy the power core inside this building. Just go straight past this building after you destroy it and kill some more troops that are waiting outside the satellite control tower.

There is an ammo bin to your right over here which you will probably need to use. Pick up some ammo and go to the right side and go north. You will see a small wall here with a lot of troops behind it. Don’t use the wall for cover because they’ll throw grenades and it’ll hurt you and ruin your cover. Just stick back and peek your head in to kill whichever ones you can. Make sure to be very careful of the turret on the small barricade to the left inside the wall. Once you kill all of the troops inside this area, go in the building and destroy the last power core to liberate the free fire zone.

Eos

The Dogs of War

Head west through a little opening in the hills and stay on the upper level here. Stick to the right side and go in the building here. You will be able to see one of the southern snipers on the roof. Take him out from here. Now you will have the EDF’s attention so watch for some EDF soldiers to attack you from across this little bridge. Kill them safely from inside and when it is clear, go outside. Make sure to stay around the middle of the bridge or turrets from vehicles will shoot at you. Move a little further across the bridge to see the next sniper on the rooftop, kill him. There’s one more sniper inside. If you can, try to take him out from a distance through the windows but you may have to move in to get him. Head for the monument to the north here and look to the west.

You will see a couple more EDF soldiers down in the valley shooting at you. Take them out from behind the monument and slowly close in on their position. Make sure nobody is behind you because they will try to chase you. Head up the valley to the north while killing a few more EDF soldiers that get in your way. As you get close to the buildings in here, you’ll see a lot of EDF troops appear on your radar. Quickly fall back for cover and kill all of them before even thinking about advancing. When they are all dead, go inside the building to your right.

Break one of the first windows on the left side of the building and look at the rooftops through the windows for some snipers. Try to kill as many as you can while looking at your radar. Some more soldiers will appear behind you after a couple of shots so kill them quickly. When your back is clear, go back to killing the snipers. After a few more shots you’ll probably start to get overwhelmed with soldiers. Run up the stairs in this building and do your best to kill the snipers as fast as you can. Make sure not to let any troops ever flank you because it does get pretty tough. Just stay on the upper level of this long hall and kill the enemy snipers when you see them until you finish them all off to complete the mission.

Alternate Strategy

In order to use this method, you will need a lot of salvage. You will need to buy the jetpack, thermobaric rocket launcher, nano rifle, and thermobaric rocket launcher ammo. Go west through the opening and look at the two buildings with the three snipers on it. Shoot the thermobaric rockets at the top of each building to quickly kill all three. Now go into the building in the east side of this area and go to the second floor. Cross the street in that balcony to the north. Once you enter the next building, use your jetpack to smash one of the ceiling windows and jump onto the roof. Go north and look at the mountains to the west. Climb the opening area and you will end up on the top of the hill behind the two buildings with the last five snipers on it. Shoot the rest of your thermobaric rockets at the two buildings with the five snipers here and finish them with the nano rifle if you run out of rockets.

Death By Committee

This mission is actually incredibly simple for a mission this late in the game. I suggest having at least your rocket launcher and nano rifle for this mission, the last weapon is up to you. You can take your time heading to the destination but I suggest grabbing a vehicle and following the marker along the north road. Don’t follow it completely, head a little further east to get on top of a large bridge. You will see a large construction building with six markers inside. Don’t attack the building or the markers yet, instead destroy all the vehicles down there. When they start to run, they will go straight to the vehicles first so blow them up so they won’t run away.

You will more than likely kill one or two as you are finishing off the vehicles and they are trying to run. Cross the bridge to the south when all the vehicles are down and they start to run away. Head for the southwest corner of this building and jump off the small cliff to chase them. The rest will hide in the first building after a small valley. Be careful because there will be a couple of EDF troops here guarding them. Kill the troops that get in your way but focus on your targets, they just have pistols to defend themselves. After you kill all six of your targets, just run or find cover until your commander finishes his message to complete this mission.

Alternate Strategy

If you have the thermobaric rocket launcher this mission is incredibly simple. Just go to the bridge east of the building the targets are located in and keep shooting at the building. They will all be dead before any of them can escape.

Hammer of the Gods

*Please Note – If you cannot begin this mission, you have to drop EDF control to zero and purchase the Nano Forge from the upgrade table.

This mission will start incredibly slowly. Grab whatever vehicle you want and follow the markers until you reach the objective all the way in Dust. There won’t be any EDF following or attacking you so you can take your time if you want. Pick up the guerillas waiting for you at the objective marker. If your vehicle can’t hold all three guerillas, get out and into the large SUV that they’re all standing around because it can hold three guerillas. Once you have them all in your car, head to the next objective marker in Badlands. After driving for a bit, you’ll hear the commander say to abort the mission, from here you have to drive straight to the safehouse in Badlands.

Follow the markers up the right path to the safehouse and kill the EDF soldiers early with the guns on your vehicle if you have them. Get out and run up the small hill to the left when you reach the pipes. Kill the EDF soldiers at the top of this hill. Run through this open area and up the hill to the north, kill a couple more EDF soldiers at the top. Keep running from here to the objective marker to reach Samanya. Now you just have to protect Somanya by killing the waves and waves of EDF soldiers. You can ignore the EDF flyers since they seem to ignore you. Stay in the hills here for cover and hide to regenerate health when you need to. After you kill enough EDF soldiers, you’ll reach a cutscene.

Unnamed Mission

To reach this mission, you will have to purchase the Radiation Shielding from a safehouse. It costs 150 salvage. Purchase it and then you can go through the irradiated zone in southeast Badlands to reach the mission. There will be a lot of marauders here to shoot at you too. What I recommend doing is using the jetpack and go to the west side of their fortress. Just keep using your jetpack to fly to the top of the hills until you reach the start of the mission. If you use your jetpack, you can easily start the mission without ever being attacked by a marauder other than the ones on patrol in vehicles. Once you accept it, you get to watch a cutscene where you befriend the marauders and help them out. This is now a safehouse and the next few missions will be in Eos.

Manual Override

Follow the objective markers until you reach a small EDF base. There will only be a few EDF soldiers patrolling it outside so kill them. You can try running over one or two and easily killing the rest. When they are all dead, go inside the building and to the computer panel with the objective marker on it. This part is pretty fun, you get to control the EDF artillery system to protect the marauders. The orange glowing truck is the one you have to protect and the red vehicles are the ones you must destroy.

The camera will move at the same pace as the vehicle so there is no point in trying to lead it. The “Hold Position” button will just stop the camera from moving with you. Simply pay attention to the marauder vehicle and destroy any and all EDF vehicles that get in its way. You will see the marauder vehicle go under a bridge, make a loop and then go over it. At this point, move way ahead and follow the road for a roadblock. You have to destroy everything here before the marauders can advance. After you clear the roadblock, you will complete the mission.

Emergency Broadcast System

If it’s at the safehouse, I highly recommend grabbing the garbage truck with the rocket launcher on top. Follow the road to the east and pick up Samanya. Now follow the markers to the north and avoid the first roadblock by going around it. From here on out, you should kill the EDF soldiers before they jump in their vehicles and chase you, it’s easy to kill them with the cannon on top of the garbage truck if you have it. Follow this path to the end while killing all enemy soldiers in your way until you reach the objective marker at the top of the hill. You’ll have to clear the area when you reach the building, a great way to do this is to kill the gunner on one of the APCs and get in and let Samanya kill everybody. Kill the last few in the building and enter it.

Let Samanya start the recording and then you’ll have to defend the building. Don’t get in a vehicle because they come from all sides and if one of them is able to plant a charge, the mission will be a failure. Pay attention to the objective markers on your mini-map and kill the closest EDF soldier to the building every time. They will only come from the roads to the north and to the west so just run back and forth and kill them as you see them. Make sure none of the soldiers get even close to the building. After the broadcast is complete, grab a heavily armored vehicle and return to the safehouse. If the APC is too damaged, there is an armored EDF vehicle to the south of the building that you’ll easily survive the trip in.

Guerillas at the Gates

Drive to the north and go behind the hill to get to the modified EDF vehicle. Now just drive it up the road straight to the north. Drive through the force field and straight to the power station which will be the first building you see. There will just be three EDF soldiers defending it so kill them and then destroy the power core. Wait here for a bit for your friends to catch up and lead the way up the road to the east and stay on it. You will reach the first little base they have. You’ll have to get out and slowly clear out the area. Ignore the flyers at first and take out the big cannons they have in their small bunkers. After you’re clear in the immediate area, you can take out the flyers.

Slowly advance to the large gate overlooking their entire base. Kill all of the EDF soldiers in front of it and any you can see on top of it. Clear out this entire area and head inside the gate. Just to the right of the inside of the gate is the best vehicle in the game, the combat walker. Hop in it for a heavily armored walker that shoots missiles. You can hold the shoot button to unleash a rain of missiles on the enemy that their tanks don’t even stand a chance against. Destroy the first tank and kill the rest of the EDF soldiers in the immediate area to help the other guerillas.

Continue down the road and kill another tank and all the EDF vehicles you see. You don’t have to bother killing the EDF soldiers but you may want to kill off the soldiers with the rail guns. Pay attention for an opening in the hill to the left and go through it when you reach it. Head directly for the power core objective marker in the northeast of this area. Kill the soldiers in front of it with your automatic rocket launchers in the combat walker and then destroy the power core. Now head directly to the west and kill the EDF soldiers at the armory. Kill the gunner in the turret in the distance to the west and clear the rest of the armory. Switch to the other combat walker here since this one will likely be damaged at this point.

Continue to the west and take out the next small EDF bunker. Climb up the hill to the left side here and take out the security tower to the right when you see it. Kill any EDF soldiers that you can see and continue up the hill. Destroy the security tower to the left now and continue uphill. Just destroy the last building at the top of the hill from a distance with your rocket launchers in the combat walker to complete this mission.

Mount Vogel

Mars Attacks

Head up the hill to the east and enter the building to talk to Samanya. Load the nano forge into the console and go down the hill a bit to the next objective marker. Use the computer here to take control of the EDF artillery system once again. This time, you are only able to aim in a small area so make sure not to let many vehicles get through. You are allowed to let six vehicles through before you fail the mission and there is a counter in the top right corner. Make sure to aim a little ahead and try to make them pile up to slow them down. There will be three areas you have to bomb from before you complete this part of the mission.

Go back up the hill to Samanya when you complete the artillery strikes. Grab the modified tank and just follow the path all the way to the objective marker while destroying every EDF vehicle that stands in your way. It can get pretty difficult so be very careful and always aim for the strongest enemies first. Don’t ever charge through a vehicle that isn’t already destroyed either or the explosion from the vehicle will do a good amount of damage to your tank. After a while, you will see some towers on the sides of the road. Take these out too because they will have turrets on top and some are powerful. Your tank will likely blow up, at which point you should jump out.

Run for the nearest vehicle you can reach and kill the gunner on top. After you kill the gunner, give the driver a second to get out and hop in this vehicle. An APC is nice but the quicker vehicles are better since it only takes a few shots from these cannons to destroy the vehicles and with a quicker vehicle, you can dodge the shots better. Keep battling and driving up to the top of the mountain and you will reach a little gate area with several soldiers in front. Kill them or run past them if there are a ton of enemies behind you, just be very careful either way.

Run up the hill to the left and hide behind the fence for health since you’ll probably need it at this point. Slowly fight your way to the top. You will notice some marauders helping at points, try to help them so they will survive and help you against the next set of EDF soldiers. You will reach another one of the EDF checkpoints where a ton of marauders are. Clear out this area and make sure to pick up a rail driver. Continue up the mountain while the marauders cover your back. Once at the top you will get the objective complete sign and a tank will come out with the EDF general inside. Pull out your rail driver and use the scope to see his body. Shoot him a couple times with the rail driver since it goes through walls to kill the general. Sprint for the tank and get in it. Blow out the doors with the objective marker over it with the cannon to open up the cannon and complete the mission.

3. Demolition Missions (RF03)

Parker Missions

Location – Directly east of Parker Safehouse
Weapons – Handgun [64] & Hydrogen Tank [13]
Time Limit – 3:00
Pro Time – 1:00
Description – This one will probably take you a couple of tries to hit pro time in. There will be twelve hydrogen tanks in the small shack to your left and one to the right of the building behind a small wall. Throw one to the side of the stairs and quickly shoot it to blow a bigger hole open at the door. Just keep throwing them inside, maybe two or three, and then shoot them to cause a big explosion. Throw however many more you need near the walls on the bottom of the tower to finish it off and make it come down.

Location – Northeast corner of Parker
Weapons – Turret
Time Limit – 0:55
Pro Time – 0:16
Description – This mission is pretty simple to hit pro time, you just have to be very accurate. Quickly run to the turret in front of you and just destroy the five communications towers in front of you. The top of the tower is a bigger target but it won’t count as destroying it so aim for the bottom of each tower. Just keep trying until you can hit them all really quickly and you’ll get this pro time in no time.

Dust Missions

Location – Directly west of the Southern Dust Safehouse
Weapons – Rocket Launcher [9]
Time Limit – 0:50
Pro Time – 0:25
Description – You have to destroy the building directly to the west from the top of this hill with a rocket launcher. Simply aim at the bottom of it and keep shooting at whatever is left of the bottom of the building. Shoot in the middle to start and then shoot a couple of shots at the side of the building. It will most likely take all nine shots and you can fire all those shots to destroy the building while still beating the pro time.

Location – Southeast of the Northern Dust Safehouse
Weapons – Sledgehammer
Time Limit – 2:00
Pro Time – 0:55
Description – There really isn’t much to this particular demolition mission. Make sure to use the sledgehammer’s swing attack instead of the smash attack to cover a wider area per attack. Go inside and just circle the building as you destroy everything from one side to the other. Try to circle the building to cut down on as much time as possible. Also, go for the support beams and take them out completely. Don’t worry about the glass.

Badlands Missions

Location – Southeast of Badlands Safehouse
Weapons – Sledgehammer & Remote Charge [1]
Time Limit – 1:00
Pro Time – 0:15
Description – Now the demolition missions start to get a little tricky and for that reason, much more fun. Run inside the structure and you will see a ladder, climb it. Once on the roof of the lower part, climb the next ladder. Get your charge ready and run into the tower. Look straight up and throw the charge at the ceiling of the inside of the tower after you climb the ladders. Jump off the edge of the tower and explode it. There is some large explosive in there that the charge will set off and demolish the entire building. If you don’t jump off the edge before detonating the charge, you’ll die in the explosion.

Location – Directly west of Badlands Safehouse
Weapons – Remote Charge [1] & Proximity Mine [25]
Time Limit – 1:30
Pro Time – 0:50
Description – This one can be pretty challenging to beat in the time limit. Start off by throwing at the ground right next to the wall. Now you have to circle the inside of the entire building and drop proximity mines every five-ten feet. You should circle the entire building before detonating the charge and the blast from the charge will destroy the proximity mines to bring the whole building down. It may take a few tries but you’ll get it eventually. Keep an eye on the clock because if it hits 0:40 then you won’t make pro time. Look below for an ASCII diagram I drew to help you figure out the placement a little bit. Please note that in the diagram, you don’t have to drop all of the mines or even in those specific locations, that’s just a guide so you know to keep them along the walls and fairly close to each other so one explosion will set off the next.

|________________________| |___| |________________________|

Location – Southwest corner of Badlands (There are two right next to each other, this is the one further to the southwest)
Weapons – Remote Charge [10] & Hydrogen Tank [12]
Time Limit – 2:30
Pro Time – 1:15
Description – This one will likely take you several tries before you will be able to beat pro time on it, it’s more about luck than skill. Run to your left and throw a charge at a hydrogen tank, preferably the tank closest to you. Try to aim just below the tank because they seem to throw the charge a little higher than the crosshair and you don’t want to miss or all the tanks will blow up when you detonate the charge. Throw the tank with the charge on it down the right pipe. Watch for the tank to come out at the bottom and detonate it as it is near the building. Try to blow a hole through the side of the building. When there’s a hole blown in the wall, you can throw a couple of tanks in at a time and they’ll gather inside for bigger blasts. This is really the only way to do it and I know it can be pretty difficult and very frustrating to beat but it is the only way unfortunately.

Location – Southwest corner of Badlands (There are two right next to each other, this is the one further to the northeast)
Weapons – Sledgehammer, Light Walker, & Remote Charges [0]
Time Limit – 4:00
Pro Time – 2:00
Description – This is another mission that is kind of difficult and also requires a bit of luck like the one above this one. Start off by running to the left and fall onto the pipe. You have to destroy all of these so run along the top of this one to the other end. Break the opposite end completely so it isn’t coming in contact with the side of the cliff. You will likely half to use the L1 attacks to break the bottom of it without falling off. Now that you will likely be inside of the pipe, run up it until you get above the pipe below you. Use the L1 attack and smash through the ground of the pipe to fall down to the lower pipe. Hopefully, this will cause the pipe to fall after a few seconds. Break the part of the middle pipe right above the lowest pipe completely so each end isn’t connected. Fall to the lowest pipe and run to the lower end of it to the light walker. There are some remote charges in the ammo bin there that you can use to quickly take out the end of the lowest pipe. Hop in the lightwalker and hold the jump button to use the jetpacks on the back and fly to the left end of the middle pipe. If you hold the jetpack and hug the cliff, you will just barely make the jump. Destroy this end and hopefully, it will fall and destroy the lower pipe and you’ll complete the mission in pro time. It does take a while to actually do since it requires quite a bit of luck to pull this mission off.

Alternate Strategy submitted by unRheal:
Since pro time with your method requires a bit of luck to pull off… but I just sort of did it without referring to your method first, and easily smoked pro time by a large margin. I was actually trying to see if I could get and keep the walker, but figured I’d give the mission a try anyway (many of these (like the stupid “hit the exploding barrel with your sledgehammer and whack it towards the demo. target to blow it up”(!)) I find just annoying and frustrating) – I basically jumped (with jetpack) down to the middle pipes, then ran and jumped down to where the walker is. From there, I grabbed all the charges from the ammo crate, and planted a couple under the two pipes that come to the wall right there, that you’re almost under already – spaced so that the two on each are close to being on the sides as (reasonably) possible in a hurry.. jump into the walker, jump up onto those pipes, and more or less run towards the middle pipes so that you can basically jump up onto them, and again run on them to the top pipes, so that you can finally jump onto them… Then basically run to the end where you start, so that you can jump up and out onto the ground above. I quickly climbed out of the walker, and ran to the edge of the hole, where I tossed a bunch of the charges onto the left pipes, near the edge closest to me, then some more on the pipes to the right, again close to the wall, and detonate, and tried to then run up to the left to get closer to throw some more on the remaining piece of the two sticking out on the far left (from facing the hole near the console that starts the mission) However, my first try I forgot to stay in the walker to see if it’d let me keep it, so I tried again, even though I’d already beaten the pro time by a large margin (I think about 1:40 or so, with pro being 2:00) and the second time, I’d done enough damage while running along the pipes to make the jump to the next one, that by the time I was up and out of the hold and threw a few on the two nearest pairs of pipes and detonated them… that when I went to start running up to the left to take that last bit off, it ended. So I ended up with 1:23. That probably makes this one the easiest and least frustrating one I’ve done of all the ones I’ve tried so far… Just lucky that I happened to try it that way first without looking for your method, since my main objective was really trying to get the walker, if it would let me keep it… (but it didn’t, of course!) 🙁

Location – Far southeast corner of Badlands
Weapons – Sledgehammer, Singularity Bomb [1], & Remote Charges [4]
Time Limit – 1:30
Pro Time – 0:45
Description – Start out by using your sledgehammer to open up a hole in the side of the building. Place the singularity bomb in the middle of any of the walls. Turn around and place all four charges opposite of the wall you placed the singularity bomb next to and blow them up. Simply use the sledgehammer to finish off whatever is left of the building until it collapses.

Alternate Strategy by Alteric Jeske:
Place the charges on the four corners outside, smash in the door with the sledge, and place the singularity bomb next to the vehicle with the red faction box. Then as the singularity bomb goes off, detonate the charges.

Oasis Missions

There are only three demolition missions in Oasis. They are all right next to each other in the north edge in an abandoned factory to the west of the safehouse.

Location – Northwestern of the three demolition missions to the west of the Oasis Safehouse
Weapons – Sledgehammer, Assault Rifle [120], & Explosive Barrel [14]
Time Limit – 0:45
Pro Time – 0:25
Description – Quickly pull out your assault rifle and shoot at the explosive barrels inside the building. As you blow them up, they’ll take down the walls and even the upper level to the building. As the upper level collapses, some more explosive barrels that were up there will drop down. Blow those up as well. After most of the building is destroyed, simply finish it off with the sledgehammer.

Location – Southwestern of the three demolition missions to the west of the Oasis Safehouse
Weapons – Pistol [3] & Hydrogen Tank [1]
Time Limit – 0:40
Pro Time – 0:10
Description – This one takes a little bit of luck. Quickly grab the hydrogen tank in front of you. Look straight up and try to throw it straight up as close to the smokestack as possible. Shoot it with the pistol as quickly as you can. If you’re lucky, it will do enough damage to bring the whole smokestack down.

Alternate Strategy from Matt Boyd:
I quickly grabbed the hydrogen tank, ran towards the smokestack, and used the L1 attack 4 times (that’s the max amount of times the least was 2) on the left side of the stack. This makes a hole in the side of the smokestack. Then, with some luck, toss it into the hole in the side of the smokestack you just made and shoot it. Bam! The stack falls. I’ve done this many times trying to get pro time but it works.

Location – Southeastern of the three demolition missions to the west of the Oasis Safehouse
Weapons – Sledgehammer & Explosive Barrel [8]
Time Limit – 0:50
Pro Time – 0:10
Description – This mission also takes quite a bit of luck to pass on pro time. You will notice eight explosive barrels set up to the right of you. Run up in front of them so you are opposite of the tower and use your L1 attack to make the barrel fly towards the building. With any luck, it’ll fly the right distance and on target to hit the building. Just hit a couple of barrels the right way for it to make the tower come down. Sometimes the barrels don’t get much distance and I found that they like to go to the right of where you’re aiming them so just readjust and hope for the best on this mission.

Alternative Strategy:
I mentioned using the L1 attack but I saw a video thanks to Invisible Assassi that showed a great way to do it with the R1 attack. You need to have a running start and swing the hammer while running towards the barrel. You’ll have to aim to the right of the tower since the barrels like to go straight to the left.

Free Fire Zone Missions

Location – Southwest corner of Free Fire Zone, the southeastern of the two
Weapons – Sledgehammer & Remote Charges [12]
Time Limit – 1:20
Pro Time – 0:20
Description – This one is pretty simple. Sprint up the hill and simply throw charges all around the walls. Don’t worry too much about the front of the bunker since there’s nothing supporting the roof on the front, just go straight for the sides and the back to bring it down.

Location – Southwest corner of Free Fire Zone, the northwestern of the two
Weapons – Sledgehammer & Light Walker
Time Limit – 1:45
Pro Time – 1:00
Description – Another straightforward and simple mission. Jump in the light walker and run straight to the building in front of you. Smash through the perimeter of it and then go east and up the hill. Destroy the building up here the same way quickly. Lastly, climb a little further up the hill and destroy the bunker.

Eos Missions

Location – To the east of the northeast Eos Safehouse, the southern of the two demolition missions.
Weapons – Sledgehammer & Heavy Walker
Time Limit – 1:40
Pro Time – 0:50
Description – This mission can get aggravating because you don’t have to destroy everything to complete it. Immediately sprint forward and grab the heavy walker. Start off by walking through the crates and cranes in the middle and head for the buildings that are built into the cliff. Use the R2/L2 attacks on the building to take out the roof as you walk through it, destroying the rest. Walk through whatever crates or anything in the middle you haven’t destroyed and do the same thing to the building opposite of the one you just destroyed.

Location – To the east of the northeast Eos Safehouse, the northern of the two demolition missions
Weapons – Sledgehammer, Nano Rifle [5], & Thermobaric Rocket [2]
Time Limit – 4:00
Pro Time – 1:40
Description – This mission takes a bit of luck. Pull out the thermobaric rocket and look straight up. Shoot the large circular steel structure on the top. Try to hit the bottom of where it starts to get round. Run around the building and do the same exact thing to the other side. Hopefully, the whole thing will fall and crash on the building itself. From here you just need to use the nano rifle to destroy any extra small steel beams left that are supporting any large pieces of concrete that are left.
Thanks to Xtreme Canadian for this method!

4. Transporter Missions (RF04)

Dust Missions

Location – Northwest corner of Dust
Time Limit – 2:45.00
Pro Time – 2:05.00
Description – This transporter mission takes a little bit of preparation to beat the pro time with. As you enter the EDF base here, you will see a large gate with a guard shack to the left. Destroy the shack and the wall right in front of it. Look to the southeast of this area and you will see another wall, you have to destroy this one as well. You should see a large hill right behind it that leads to the lower roads. Now you can get in the vehicle to start it. Immediately drive it through the opening in the wall you just made and jump down the cliff. Drive straight across the road here and drive it off the next cliff. Keep crossing the roads and driving off the cliffs until you reach the bottom of the hill and are forced to drive southeast to follow the markers. Look to the right side of the road for a small opening with some ore, drive down it for a small shortcut. Immediately when you get back on the road, look for the bridge above you. Drive up the small hill to the left of it to shave some more time off the clock. From here you just have to follow the markers all the way to the safehouse while trying to go as straight as possible through the turns to save some time.

Location – In the base north of the southern Dust Safehouse
Time Limit – 2:15.00
Pro Time – 2:00.00
Description – Start out by destroying everything in your way directly in front of the vehicle up the hill. Now begin the mission and drive straight ahead. Drive through the small hole in the hill in front of you and turn left to reach the road again. There will be a tank that meets you when you reach the road again, do your best to avoid it. Follow the markers until you reach the next set of buildings with the large tower. The markers will tell you to go to the right of the building but instead, just jump off the small hill and go in between the building and the tower. When the road goes straight west, you will reach two more EDF vehicles that will try to destroy you. Do your best to get around them. From here, you just have to follow the markers until you reach the Parker Safehouse.

Location – In the base east of the northern Dust Safehouse
Time Limit – 0:55.00
Pro Time – 0:45.00
Description – Hop in the vehicle and immediately turn left to follow the markers. Pay attention to the wall on the left side. Smash through the wall just to the left of the rock and you will end up back on the road. Now just follow the markers until you reach the safehouse.

Location – Behind a gas station along the western road directly north of the southern Dust Safehouse
Time Limit – 1:15.00
Pro Time – 1:05.00
Description – There isn’t much to this particular mission. Make a left as you exit the rear of the gas station and simply follow the markers to the Dust Safehouse. There will be a few EDF vehicles that will try to slow you down but they’re easy to avoid.

Badlands Missions

Location – Southwest corner of Badlands
Time Limit – 2:45.00
Pro Time – 2:25.00
Description – Immediately go in reverse until you drive off the cliff behind you. Now quickly start to drive west and follow the markers. You will notice a few marauder vehicles trying to stop you, just do your best to avoid them. From here, simply follow the markers up to Oasis and you will see two EDF vehicles driving towards you. Simply drive by them and they won’t be able to catch up. Now just follow the markers until you reach the Oasis Safehouse.

Location – Northwest corner of Badlands
Time Limit – 2:15.00
Pro Time – 1:35.00
Description – To prepare for this transporter mission, destroy everything directly in front of the vehicle including the wall but to the west of the tower. Grab the vehicle and drive through the area you just opened up and follow the markers. There will be several roadblocks in your way. Just stay on the road and follow the markers. You could easily smash through the low barriers in this vehicle so just smash through them instead of trying to go around. The first roadblock is at the bridge, the next is at the checkpoint just before Dust, and the last is at the gas station at the top of the hill when you first enter Dust. You should drive around the third roadblock to the left since you’re going to the left anyway. From here, just avoid any EDF vehicles that get in your way and follow the markers to the safehouse.

Location – Northern transporter mission in Badlands Safehouse
Time Limit – 4:05.00
Pro Time – 3:35.00
Description – Immediately make a right turn and follow the markers out of the safehouse. You will see the markers lead up a hill with the building at the top to the right. The markers will sort of turn to the left as you get to the top, just keep going straight. Once you go in the air, you’ll be forced to make a right turn so try to cut through this S turn in one motion. Now you just basically have to follow the markers for a long time. You will reach the blown-out bridge that was destroyed for a mission in Dust and the markers will tell you to go to the left of the bridge but instead, go over the hill to the right. From here, you just have to follow the markers until the end.

Location – Southern transporter mission in Badlands Safehouse
Time Limit – 2:50.00
Pro Time – 2:25.00
Description – Start off by breaking everything in front of this vehicle so you can start easily. As you leave the safehouse, some marauders will approach you, just avoid them. Follow the same strategy as you reach the road as the above mission. As you go up the hill with the demolition building, go to the right of the markers to cut through the S turn that they’ll force you through at the other side of the hill. From here, just follow the markers and watch for marauders chasing you. Also, when you enter Dust, there will be two EDF vehicles that you will pass that will shoot at you so avoid them as well.

Oasis Missions

Location – In the base northwest of the Oasis Safehouse
Time Limit – 3:00.00
Pro Time – 2:20.00
Description – There’s a decent amount of work to start this mission. Head all the way to the vehicle and look straight ahead from where the vehicle is parked. There will be a large hill there that gets a bit lower to the right of it. Smash every wall and crate in your way to that hill slightly to the right. Now hop in and drive straight up that hill and over it completely to the road on the other side. There will be several EDF vehicles chasing you along with a flyer which will meet you at the top of the hill. Follow the markers all the way until you reach Badlands. You’ll see the marker shift to the left off the road and then go right. Stay to the left to just go to the left of all the rocks here. Follow the markers from here until you reach the destination.

Location – Northwest corner of Oasis
Time Limit – 1:20.00
Pro Time – 1:10.00
Description – This mission really just requires you to be a good driver. There’s no tricks to this one at all, simply follow the line to the Oasis Safehouse.

Location – Far West edge of Oasis
Time Limit – 3:10.00
Pro Time – 2:45.00
Description – To start, you may want to destroy the large tanks to the left of where you’ll be leaving this area from. From here you pretty much just have to follow the markers again. As you enter Badlands, there will be several Marauders and EDF after you to slow you down so don’t let them. Just follow the markers and make sure to cut straight through the S turn just before the hill with the demolition mission on it to save some time.

Free Fire Zone Missions

Location – In a cliff just outside the artillery base in northeast Free Fire Zone
Time Limit – 4:40.00
Pro Time – 4:05.00
Description – Go down the hill in front of you and pay attention to the bridge up above you. Look for a hill to the right of it that you can climb, drive straight up it. Hug the right side at the top to go around the rocks. Keep going straight and down the little canyon straight ahead, there will be three canyons to choose from, left, middle, and right, go down the middle. From here, you’ll see the markers. Follow them all the way until you reach the bridge destroyed in a Dust mission. Jump the hill to the left instead of following the markers to the right. Now follow the markers all the way to the Oasis safehouse.

Location – In the canyon in southern Free Fire Zone and northern Parker
Time Limit – 1:35.00
Pro Time – 1:25.00
Description – Drive straight ahead but don’t follow the markers. Drive to the south around the hill where you will see two ore. Drive up that path and hug the right side. Climb this hill to the top of the road. Don’t worry if it takes a while because you will have plenty of time to climb this hill. Get to the road at the top and just follow the markers to the Parker Safehouse.

Eos Missions

Location – West of the western Eos Safehouse
Time Limit – 3:05.00
Pro Time – 2:00.00
Description – Immediately drive to the left and up the hill through the small chasm. Once you get through it, you will see the markers appear on the road. Don’t follow them, instead, go to the left of the next set of rocks. Go right at the next split here and follow this very tight path. Pay attention to the mini-map for when you are about to approach a road going south. Climb the hill and get onto the road. The markers will keep telling you to turn around, ignore them and follow this road. After you cross the bridge, you will see the markers again. Follow them into Parker. You will see a small S turn area. Ignore it and drive over the hill and onto the road below. From here, just follow the markers to the Parker Safehouse.

Location – Northwest corner of Eos
Time Limit – 1:25.00
Pro Time – 0:50.00
Description – You’ll have to prepare for this one a little bit. You’ll have to destroy the fence and building to your left so you will be able to drive off the edge of the cliff. You don’t have to destroy the whole building, just use your judgment for how much space you’ll need. Drive off the cliff here and follow the markers until they turn to the right and then left. Don’t follow them to the left, go to the right. Drive down here and over the first bridge. Make a sharp left turn and drive off the left side of the second bridge. Drive down this road and look for the safehouse, there will be a propaganda sign just to the left of it. Try to the right of that sign and just drive as fast as you can up the cliff. If you do this fast enough, you will reach the top of the cliff and the safehouse will be right there.

Location – Northern section of Eos at the broadcast station
Time Limit – 1:40.00
Pro Time – 1:25.00
Description – Immediately turn the vehicle around and drive down the hill. Drive off the cliff at the bottom to land on the road down below. Now just follow the markers until you reach the Eos Safehouse.

Mount Vogel Missions

Location – Along northern road of Mount Vogel
Time Limit – 3:40.00
Pro Time – 3:00.00
Description – Follow the markers until you are about to leave the EDF base. Smash through the small wall off the edge of the cliff for a big shortcut and follow the markers even further. Follow the markers until you reach the gas station at the foot of the cliff with the safehouse. Drive up through the small chasm to cut down on a windy road and then follow the markers up the hill to the Eos Safehouse.

Location – Along southern road of Mount Vogel, to the far east
Time Limit – 10:00.00
Pro Time – 8:00.00
Description – Follow the markers all the way to the bottom of Mount Vogel. At the bottom is a small walled-off area, turn to the right as you pass it to cut through this very wide turn. Now follow the markers until you are about to leave the EDF base in Eos. Drive off the edge of the cliff just before you exit the base. Follow the markers from here until you reach the gas station at the foot of the cliff with the Eos safehouse. Drive through the small chasm and go to the left of the rocks on the other side. Go right at the split and pay attention to your mini-map for a road that goes south. Go up the hill in this chasm to get onto that road and follow this road until the marker reappears in front of you. From here you can just follow the markers all the way to the Marauder safehouse in the far southeast corner of Badlands.

5. Guerilla Actions (RF05)

Parker

EDF Assault
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 30
Morale – 15
Description – Head over to the town of Parker to the east of the safehouse and hide along the small walls with the other faction members. The EDF soldiers will all approach from the road to the west. Simply kill them off as they approach until you complete the mission.

EDF Assault
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 30
Morale – 15
Description – Head over to the far southwest corner of Parker and find some cover with your fellow Red Faction members. There will be a couple of vehicles that come in this mission along the ground along with some foot soldiers that will approach from the hill to the left. Fight them all off until you complete the mission.

House Arrest
Location – Southwest corner of Parker
Control – 25
Morale – 15
Description – Follow the markers to the building with the hostage in it. Clear out the area outside of the building. Slowly advance in when the outside is clear. Kill the enemies on the first floor and slowly climb the stairs to kill a few more enemies. Free the hostage and quickly get to the nearest vehicle. Drive to the safehouse from here.

House Arrest
Location – Northeast of Parker Safehouse
Control – 25
Morale – 20
Description – The hostages will be in the northeastern most building in this area. Kill the four EDF soldiers guarding it and go inside to free them. There will be a ladder on the western side that you have to climb to free the hostage upstairs and you can walk straight into the downstairs hostage. Free both of them and return them safely to the safehouse.

Dust

Convoy
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 35
Morale – 10
Description – They will start from the wind farm in the north section of Dust and drive down to Parker. The best way to do this since they will put a lot of pressure on you is to wait at the point closest to the Dust Safehouse. Use a rocket launcher to destroy as many vehicles as you can and set charges if you have time. When there are a lot of soldiers here, just run to your safehouse to go back to green and restock on ammo. Now just chase them down and finish them.

Convoy
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 40
Morale – 10
Description – In this mission, you will have to steal an EDF APC. They will start in the far south and drive to the far north. Try to grab a dump truck and just slam into the APC when you reach it. Hopefully this will lure the soldier inside out of it. If you are having trouble pulling the soldier out, you may want to get the arc welder and kill him while he’s inside the APC. Once you get it, you have to drive it to the northern Dust Safehouse.

House Arrest
Location – Just east of the northern Dust Safehouse
Control – 25
Morale – 20
Description – Grab a dump truck and follow the markers to the north. Pass the building holding the hostages and make a u-turn. This time smash through the wall and the left corner of the building from this angle. They will start to shoot at you but you will have enough time to run inside the corner of the building you just smashed in and free the hostages. Jump back in your dump truck and simply wait for the hostages to get in the back. Drive back to the safehouse while avoiding the roadblock you will meet halfway.

Guerilla Raid
Location – Just south of the wind farm in the northern Dust
Control – 30
Morale – 10
Description – Follow the markers to the building in the north. If you can get a dump truck, use it. Get out of the dump truck as you approach the building to let the other guerillas out and get back in. Drive the dump truck straight into the building and back in and out a couple of times until the whole building comes down. If you don’t have a dump truck, use a rocket launcher to bring it down or just kill all of the EDF soldiers there.

Guerilla Raid
Location – In hills directly east of northern Dust Safehouse
Control – 30
Morale – 10
Description – Follow the markers to get to the Ark refinery. Take a left once you get inside and climb the hills while you kill the soldiers in your way. Keep climbing until you reach the building with the marker on it. Throw some charges over the wall to destroy as much as you can and kill any soldiers around it. Break down the wall with your hammer and finish the building off.

EDF Assault
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 30
Morale – 10
Description – This one is for the housing complex north of the EDF base to the far south, it is hidden in a canyon. Get over there as fast as you can and go up the stairs to the first building you see. Simply fight from here as you take on all of the EDF soldiers that come your way. PLEASE NOTE – You will have to do this mission two times total.

Convoy
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 35
Morale – 10
Description – This convoy will go from the comm center to the west of the northern Dust Safehouse and will drive down the far eastern road to the southern EDF base. Try to cut them off as soon as possible and return to the northern safehouse to lose them if necessary. There’s only three vehicles you have to destroy in this one so it shouldn’t be too difficult.

Interception
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 20
Morale – 20
Description – This will be around the quarry in the western part of Dust. Simply equip your rocket launcher and shoot the vehicle a couple of times until it explodes. Grab the info and get out of there as quickly as you can. The mission will be complete when you lower your alert level to green, I suggest just heading for a safehouse, hopefully it will go green before you even reach it.

Convoy
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 35
Morale – 20
Description – They will start in Badlands, cut through Dust, and go to Free Fire Zone. You will have to cut them off in Dust for your best chance. Get ready by the gas station just south of the Dust town hall and wait for them. Destroy as many as you can and run to the safehouse if you need to lose them. Finish them off before they reach Free Fire Zone. There will be a total of 4 APCs so make sure to have a rocket launcher will full ammo.

Guerilla Raid
Location – In the far west corner of Dust in the mountains above the quarry
Control – 30
Morale – 10
Description – This is another guerilla raid that the best way to do it is to simply grab a dump truck and smash through the barricades at the start and then just run through the building a couple of times.

Collateral Damage
Location – Along the western road that goes north/south in southern Dust
Control – 40
Morale – 10
Description – These missions are pretty easy. Just shoot everything with the markers over them, the EDF soldiers, EDF vehicles, and any property marked red on the minimap. This includes the windmills and large explosive tanks throughout the area. Just make sure not to kill any guerillas or it will deduct from your total. You need to cause 35 million credits of EDF damage for this mission.

Collateral Damage
Location – To the east of the southernmost road from Parker
Control – 40
Morale – 10
Description – You need another 35 million credits of damage in this mission. Do the same thing as the above mission, just destroy everything with markers over them. This will be the first mission with EDF flyers, try to take these down because they are worth a lot of credits.

Guerilla Raid
Location – On the north/south road to the west of the EDF executive housing
Control – 30
Morale – 10
Description – Another raid that is easiest by taking a dump truck and smashing through the EDF base.

Convoy
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 40
Morale – 10
Description – There will be an APC leaving the town of Dust in the east and heading up to an EDF base in Oasis. Try to cut him off immediately while in Dust and bring the APC to the northern Dust Safehouse. A good way to lure the driver out is to toss a charge on the top of the APC and kill the gunner with it and then the driver will most likely stop and get out.

House Arrest
Location – Town of Dust, southeast of northern Dust Safehouse
Control – 25
Morale – 20
Description – This particular house arrest mission is fairly difficult. Approach the building here with caution and kill the few EDF soldiers outside. The best thing to

do is smash a large vehicle to the side of the building. Enter the building and run upstairs. Kill any soldiers in the building. Free the hostages upstairs and lead them to your vehicle parked outside. By now, there will be a lot of EDF soldiers coming your way in APCs so be very careful. If your vehicle is destroyed, try to steal an APC and just lead them safely to the Dust Safehouse.

House Arrest
Location – Along west side of Dust, southeast of the quarry
Control – 25
Morale – 20
Description – Grab a dump truck and drive to the marker. Smash through the northern side of the building and enter it. Free the two hostages and jump back in your dump truck. Give the guerillas time to get in the truck with you and drive them to the northern Dust Safehouse.

Convoy
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 40
Morale – 10
Description – The convoy will start way up in Oasis and come down to the Chem Depot in Dust. Try to stop it as it passes the northern Dust Safehouse. You may want to have the Arc Welder for this mission because it’s the best way to remove the driver without damaging the vehicle. The vehicle also isn’t heavily armored so it could be a pain. I suggest destroying a couple of EDF vehicles before you get into the vehicle too so they won’t follow or shoot you.

Interception
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 20
Morale – 20
Description – This will start in the wind farm to the north. Have the heat-seeking rocket launcher handy and just destroy the vehicle from a distance. Grab the intel and head for the Dust Safehouse.

Interception
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 20
Morale – 20
Description – This one starts near the Town of Dust in the southeast corner. Simply get ahead of where he’s going and destroy the vehicle with a couple of quick shots of the heat-seeking rocket launcher. Grab the intel and head over to the Dust Safehouse.

House Arrest
Location – Southwest corner of Dust
Control – 25
Morale – 15
Description – Be very careful as you approach this building. Kill everybody outside to the sides of the building. Be careful with anybody in front of it because there are several explosives inside. Free the hostage and grab the EDF vehicle out front. Simply smash through the small wall to the left of the building and drive him to the southern Dust Safehouse to safety.

Heavy Metal
Location – Southwest corner of Dust
Control – 10
Salvage – 50
Description – This mission is pretty fun because you get to control a tank and just destroy EDF vehicles. Around 20-25, you will see a tank appear. This should be your main priority. After you destroy the tank, go back to the regular vehicles.

Heavy Metal
Location – In canyon directly south of northern Dust Safehouse
Control – 10
Salvage – 50
Description – This one is a little bit of a pain because the light walker is a little difficult to handle. The best thing to do is if you are running at a group of soldiers, use the R2/L2 attacks, and if you are running at a single soldier, use the R1/L1 attacks. Also, use the R2/L2 smash attacks on vehicles. The sooner the better because if you do it before they can get out, you’ll get credit for the kills.

Badlands

Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 35
Morale – 10
Description – This could start in Dust still if you haven’t finished liberating Dust but it is considered a Badlands mission. This is just another one of those convoy missions where you have to destroy the enemy convoy. Bring at least a rocket launcher and the arc welder. Destroy the first vehicle when your alert level is still green with the rocket launcher. Run to the tank and use the arc welder to kill the driver. Hop inside and destroy the other two vehicles with the tank.

Heavy Metal
Location – Outside of the EDF base just east of the Harrington Memorial Bridge
Control – 10
Salvage – 75
Description – Get in the tank and just don’t move. You may be tempted to break through the fence but don’t do it. Sit here and turn the turret around. Just destroy all of the EDF vehicles that get in your way. Towards the end, they will send a lot of APCs so be quick.

Heavy Metal
Location – Along the western edge of Badlands in between the two entrances from Dust
Control – 10
Salvage – 75
Description – In this mission, you have to destroy 25 EDF vehicles in a heavy walker. Let the vehicles come to you and just use the R2/L2 slam attacks to kill them all. One hit from the R2/L2 attacks will destroy all of the vehicles. Aim for the ones with the plasma cannons on top first when they are close.

Collateral Damage
Location – Northeastern corner of Badlands
Control – 40
Morale – 10
Description – You have to score 55 million credits of damage in this mission. There are a lot of vehicles chasing you in this but no flyers. Try to focus on the buildings with markers over them and then fight off the vehicles.

Interception
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 20
Morale – 20
Description – This one will spawn right by the Badlands safehouse. Just keep a distance and kill him with the heat-seeking rocket launcher and just go up the hill to lose the alert.

Oasis

EDF Assault
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 30
Morale – 15
Description – This mission starts in the apartments in northeastern Oasis. You will already see several EDF ahead of you. You will be behind all of them so they will be easy to kill. All the EDF has to send is two APCs and a tank. Blow up the APCs with rockets before the soldiers can get out and then just destroy the tank with a couple of rockets before it destroys the apartment building to finish this mission.

EDF Assault
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 30
Morale – 10
Description – This mission will be at the Oasis Safehouse. You can actually go all the way to the top of the hill that they will come from and destroy the vehicles before they even reach the safehouse. There will just be a couple of APCs full of people and one flyer to take out.

Interception
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 20
Morale – 20
Description – This mission will begin in northeast Oasis. As he leaves the building complex, he will turn west so try to cut him off. Destroy his vehicle and grab the intel. Simply lose your alert to complete the mission, just run to the safehouse.

Interception
Location – Radio Spawn
Control – 20
Morale – 20
Description – This mission will begin in southeast Oasis. Just like the other Interception missions, cut him off and destroy his vehicle with a couple of rocket launcher shots. Grab the intel and lose the alert.

House Arrest
Location – Northeastern corner of Oasis
Control – 25
Morale – 20
Description – Go to the building and there will be two areas in it. The southern side will have the hostage on the first floor and the northern side will be on the second floor. There’s a wall separating both sides but you can break it down for easy access. Lead the hostages to your safehouse to complete this mission.

House Arrest
Location – Easternmost mission in southeastern Oasis
Control – 25
Morale – 20
Description – Drive over to this building and be very careful entering. The hostages are at opposite corners of the store so you can’t just smash through the walls. Get in there while clearing it out and save the hostages inside.

Heavy Metal
Location – Southernmost mission in southeastern Oasis
Control – 10
Salvage – 75
Description – This mission is very simple, you are given a combat walker with rocket launchers strapped to its shoulders and have to take out thirty EDF vehicles. There are no tanks or flyers, not even APCs. There is your occasional armored car but they’re mostly the standard EDF vehicle. Just destroy them as you see them.

Guerilla Raid
Location – Westernmost mission in southeastern Oasis
Control – 30
Morale – 10
Description – This building may be small but there’s a lot of supports in there so it might take a while to bring down. Still, you should focus on the building instead of the troops. Try to ram a vehicle through it a couple of times and then just finish off whatever supports you missed with the nano rifle.

Guerilla Raid
Location – Northeastern Oasis
Control – 30
Morale – 10
Description

  • This guerilla raid is simple. The inside of the building doesn’t have anything supporting the roof so just blow out all the walls with your rocket launcher while the other guerillas distract the EDF and the building will come down pretty quickly.

House Arrest
Location – In Oasis Safehouse
Control – 25
Morale – 25
Description – Drive to the town hall and smash through all the small walls to get straight to the building. Free the hostages inside or if you just want to complete the mission, free just the one in the back right corner. Get them in your car and drive out of here. Since your car will probably be very damaged at this point, grab another car before leaving here since you will have to face heavy resistance on your way out. Lead him to the Oasis Safehouse to complete the mission.

Guerilla Raid
Location – Directly west of Oasis Safehouse at end of road
Control – 30
Morale – 10
Description – As a warning, you can’t just break through the wall next to the building you have to destroy because there’s a massive explosion set by marauders that will kill you if you try. You’re going to have to go in the hard way through the front gate and fight your way to the building in the back. The guerillas will set charges here and blow the building up if they’re still alive so just give them some time and enjoy the fireworks.

Collateral Damage
Location – Directly west of Oasis Safehouse at end of road
Control – 40
Morale – 10
Description – This mission is very easy since you only need 30 million credits. There’s plenty of targets, most notably the smoke stacks. The challenge in this mission isn’t doing the certain amount of damage but it’s surviving! They send a lot of enemies at you so make sure to kill them quickly. As you approach road blocks, aim for the turrets up front that shoot the plasma cannons, they are the strongest.

Guerilla Raid
Location – West of the above two missions/Southwestern Oasis
Control – 30
Morale – 10
Description – Bring the guerillas to the northwestern corner of Oasis. You will have to destroy the large building with the marker on it. This building is actually pretty easy to destroy since there’s nothing supporting it in the middle. Just take out the walls with a couple of shots of the rocket launcher while the other guerillas distract the EDF and you’ll complete this mission in no time.

Heavy Metal
Location – By the three demolition missions in Oasis
Control – 10
Salvage – 75
Description – In this mission, you are equipped with a light walker and are sent on a mission to kill eighty EDF soldiers in the immediate area. Destroy all the APCs you see as quickly as possible because they all hold four soldiers. You could easily get halfway through the mission just destroying APCs before foot soldiers appear. Kill the foot soldiers when they get in your way but focus on those APCs until you reach the mark.

House Arrest
Location – Far western edge of Oasis
Control – 25
Morale – 25
Description – This house arrest mission is fairly difficult because some of the hostages are upstairs. There’s also plenty of EDF soldiers trying to stop you here which makes even reaching those hostages difficult. If you want, you can just save the one downstairs in the northern corner of the building. Approach the building from the north and smash through the north wall. Kill a couple of troops and free the one hostage downstairs. Just get back in your vehicle and leave the others behind, you will still complete the mission.

Thanks to Agrafuese for the following tip on this guerilla action:
Most people take the road straight up to the building where the hostages are located. This is a bad idea, because it alerts the guards immediately, most of whom are driving heavily armed vehicles. I’ve found the best way to do it is to come up from behind the hills located at the back of the building. There are probably a few ways to get up on that hill, and it’s not very hard at all – it just takes some quick exploring. Your alert meter should stay green as you come up over the hill. At that point, you can quietly descend into the rear entrance of the building, alerting only a few of the guards. In my case, I was able to get to the second floor of the building before anyone saw me at all.

Another VERY helpful piece of advice here: before you start the mission, make sure you are equipped with the arc welder, and make sure you purchased the friend detector for it. That way, you can stun your opponents as you encounter resistance without accidentally harming the hostages. You shouldn’t need any other gun for this mission.

Now, once inside the building, you want to begin rescuing the hostages starting from the TOP floor. This way, you’re not having them follow you up and down and all over the place, providing fodder for the guards. If you’ve done everything right, you should be able to quickly run out to the truck parked outside the front entrance and drive away with all of your hostages in tow.

Heavy Metal
Location – Far western edge of Oasis
Control – 10
Salvage – 75
Description – This one starts off pretty easy but can get tough towards the end. Quickly run to the rocket turret and use it. All of the vehicles will come from the hill to the east, slightly to your right from where the turret is. They will all come from over the hill and none of them will come from the path along the side road. You need to destroy 25 EDF vehicles that get in your way. It gets tough because around the 15th vehicle, you will start to see flyers. Try to take them out quickly when they get close while focusing on the APCs and other small cars when they are further away.

Guerilla Raid
Location – In the eastern Eos Safehouse
Control – 30

House Arrest
Location – Northeast of the eastern Eos Safehouse
Control – 25
Morale – 20
Description – Head over to the building and get your vehicle close to it. The first hostage will be on the second floor and the second hostage will be on the third floor. Free them and get in your vehicle because EDF soldiers start to swarm in when you free both of them. Just bring them to the safehouse to complete the mission.

Collateral Damage
Location – Far eastern edge of Eos, the eastern of the two
Control – 40
Morale – 10
Description – The 80 million credit might look a little overwhelming but it’s actually pretty simple. The main targets you should hit are the electric propaganda signs which seem to do 5 million credits each. There’s also a couple of flyers in your way and you circle the large building complex in the north a couple of times, enough to level the entire area.

Collateral Damage
Location – Far eastern edge of Eos, the western of the two
Control – 40
Morale – 10
Description – This mission requires you to destroy 75 million credits of EDF property. Again, a simple task. Look for the electric propaganda signs since they do 5 million credits each. Also try to shoot down any flyers you see and destroy all the roadblocks. You should easily get this total.

Collateral Damage
Location – To the west of the western Eos Safehouse
Control – 40
Morale – 10
Description – This mission requires another 75 million but it’s still easy to reach that amount. He drives around most of the city roads which means lots of electric propaganda signs to shoot at. Those signs and the flyers should be your number one priority in this mission.

6. Ore Locations (RF06)

Parker

Leave the Parker Safehouse and before you even reach the road, there will be one to your left and to your right.

Go to the southwest corner for two ores behind the buildings. Climb the hill to the east in the south corner here and there will be one more at the top of the hill.

Take the western road out of the Parker Safehouse and there will be one on the side of the road to the right. From there, continue north and take the first left you can make. Follow the road and you will see one more ore on your right. Cross the street and there will be another ore in front of the sign.

Immediately cross the road as you leave the Parker Safehouse. Climb to where the smoke stack is and there will be an ore just to the north of it. Cross the bridge to the east and there will be another ore to your left as you get off the bridge. Jump off of the bridge and follow the road north. Watch for the town to the right and there will be an ore in that entrance.

As you leave the Parker Safehouse, follow the road east. Go under the pipes and take the first right where the vehicle is. Climb the hill to the south and there will be a total of ten ore scattered around at the top of this hill. Make sure to get the ones that are kind of hidden to the far west before leaving this area.

Jump off the cliff along the road to the west of the northern demolition mission. There will be five ore down here. There are also some to the north that are considered in Free Fire Zone that you might want to hit while you’re down here.

Go to the far east of Parker along the road that goes north/south. Around the middle of this road, there will be three ore to the east. Almost directly to the west from here are three more in the hills. Just drive to the west and you will see them in the middle of a large rock formation.

Drive to the very far southeastern tip of Parker. There will be five at the bottom of the hill around a large rock formation.

Dust

Follow the road out of the southern Dust safehouse and you will see three ore on your left. Continue to the road and you will see two more on your right. Now go southwest to a hole in the ground just north of the demolition mission here for a total of six more. There will be five in the hole and one at the top of the hill on your way out.

As you leave the southern Dust Safehouse, take a left to follow the western road north. Go past the EDF area to where the heavy metal mission is/was. There will be two on the hill to the west here. Continue north and look at the east side of the road. You will see an ore leading down a canyon. Go down this canyon and break all the ore you see, starting from the road, there will be a total of nine here. Just be careful because some marauders will likely attack you here.

Now go to the chem depot to the northern exit. You will see two ore across the street in front of the propaganda sign. Continue north and you will see two more on the left side of the road just before the dirt path. Go a little further north and you will see two more on the left side of the road on the next mountain. Cross the street and go directly east and you will see five more.

Continue north from the ore listed in the above paragraph and take a left in the canyon area right before where the guerilla raid was and going to where the heavy metal mission was with the walker. There will be four on the hill in this area. Go directly east from here and climb the hill opposite of the town of Dust. There will be two at the top of the hill to the right next to the radio tag.

Leave the northern Dust Safehouse and take a left followed by another left so you will be driving west. Take a left at the split in the road and stop at the checkpoint here. On the south side, there will be seven ore on the hill. Get back to the checkpoint and follow the road to the west. There will be five more on the hill almost directly south of the transporter mission there. Continue all the way down this windy road until you get to the bottom of the hill and on the road that goes west to the Free Fire Zone. At the part where the road you’re on meets that road, there will be seven on the northern hill. Continue down the eastern road from here and look for a dirt path through the hills on the right. Drive down the southern road to leave the Badlands Safehouse from where the southern transporter mission is. Look to the right and you will see one on a hill. Drive up it and there will be a total of three in this area. Cross the street from here and you will see three more. Look exactly north from here for a break in the hill. There will be one more ore there.

Continue east down the road for two more at the foot of the hill with the transporter mission. Go to the top of the hill directly south of here for three more total.

From the above ore, go east to where you went through that rock in the Dust mission. Look up the hill that you are driving straight towards and you will see an ore. There are a total of five up there. Cross the bridge just west of here and there will be a total of seven along the mountainside. They will be spread out a bit so make sure you get all seven.

In the irradiated area, take the northern path. There are eleven ore scattered around here in between the beginning and the end of the irradiated area.

As you leave the road from the Oasis Safehouse, take a right to go northeast. Take a right at the next split in the road and look at the hills to the north. Go up the very first hill you see for a total of four. There will be three at the very top of the hill and then one slightly to the west. Go east from here along the hills and you will see five more. Three will be at the bottom of the hill with two on top.

Go to the far western tip of Oasis where the transporter mission was next to the Heavy Metal mission. Climb over the hill to the north and you will see the road where the smokestacks were. At the top of this hill, you will see two ore.

Free Fire Zone

Drive up the western road from Parker and you will see an ore on the west side of the street. You will see a path behind it leading through the mountains. There will be two more in there. Keep driving north from here and take a left when you reach it. You will see two more at the split in the road. Continue down this left turn to go northwest and look to your left just after the fence for a flat area with four more ore.

There is one in the small canyon area between Parker and Free Fire Zone right next to the transporter mission.

Continue east down the main road along southern Free Fire Zone. You will see two more on the northern side of the road. Go east from here to the main road going north to Eos. Look to the west just before the EDF checkpoint for a path up through the mountains. There will be four at the beginning of the path and five more further back in the path.

Go to the bridge in northern Free Fire Zone leading to the artillery base and there will be four on the south side of it. There will be three on the east and one on the west. Jump down the bridge along the east side for three more in the canyon. Go to the west along the canyon for two more. From those two, go southwest to the large crater for three more ore.

Go to the far east side of Free Fire Zone, just south of the three big craters in northeast Free Fire Zone. There will be a large hill here with a lot of ore scattered around. There will be a total of twelve ore in that hilly area.

There are also three bunched up right across the street from the Artillery base in northern Free Fire Zone.

7. EDF Supply Crate Locations (RF07)

Parker

Go to the far southeast corner of Parker. Drive up the hill in this section, the same path in the last mission of Parker, and there will be three EDF Supply Crates up here.

Drive to the west as you leave the safehouse. Take the first left turn on this road as you reach it and you will see a fence to your left immediately. Break down the fence for two EDF Supply Crates here.

Go to the northeast corner of Parker where the Ore Processing Plant is located. There will be twelve EDF Supply Crates here.

Dust

Drive up to the wind farm to the north. There will be three crates just outside the first building to the left. Cross the street directly northeast to where the EDF garage is and there will be nine crates total all around the garage. Go to where the eastern most wind turbine was and there will be one outside the building there. Go to the far north of the wind farm where the road to the south leading to the safehouse starts. On the north side is a building with four crates.

Leave the northern Dust Safehouse and take a left followed by another left so you will be travelling west. There will be one in the fenced area on the north side of the checkpoint that you pass. Take a right at the split for the EDF base with the transporter mission in the northwest corner. As you enter through the front gate, there will be two on your right. Run up the hill and there will be another behind the small wall on your left. Continue to the building and there will be two in front and three in back. Also there seems to be a missile silo in front, there is one around that large hole in the ground.

Go to the town hall in the northeast section of Dust. There will be one crate to the left just outside of the fence. Enter the fenced area and there will be six in front of the building and two in the back. Go directly south from here to the EDF executive office. As you drive down the road to the building, there will be two on the right just before the bunkers. Now go to the executive building to the left and there will be a total of six in front of the building.

Go to the town of Dust in the southeast corner. There will be five in front of the buildings here. Follow the road south to the checkpoint on the road for two more. Go to the building complex to the east of the Town of Dust where you finished the last mission in Dust and there will be one in front and two in the back.

Head over to the Chem Depot in the far southern tip of Dust. As you enter from the south, there will be one on the hill immediately to your right. Follow the mountain to the right going north and you will find another crate on the ground. Head over to where the transporter mission is for four more crates. Now go west to the building built into the hill with the explosive barrels in it where you did a house arrest mission. It will be in front of the building.

Starting from the southern Dust Safehouse, take a left so you will be going north on the western road. There will be two in front of the large tanks on the west side.

Drive to the Ark Refinery just to the east of the quarry in western Dust. There will be two smoke stacks there listed as medium importance as a reference. Run around this entire area to destroy all the crates you find, there are a total of seven crates here spread out. Go to the helipad directly southeast of here for four more.

There’s a few in the quarry on the west side of Dust. There will be three in the housing area in the northeast part of the quarry. Go to the northern entrance/exit to the quarry for another one. Go to the building in the far southwest corner of the quarry for another two. From here drive south and go down the quarry. There will be one behind the building on the east side, it will be the first you pass since the building in the southwest corner. Continue around the quarry for two more on the left side of the road. Go to the bottom of the quarry from here for a total of five down here.

Badlands

Head to the EDF barracks almost directly south of the southwestern demolition mission in Badlands. There will be three on the eastern side of this complex. Just be careful when you go for these because every time you go here, there seems to be a raid from the marauders.

Go to the northern road to Dust in Badlands for the checkpoint with the propaganda sign. There will be eight total in this checkpoint.

Go to the checkpoint in the western road to Oasis. There will be a total of eight here. From here go to the air base to the east and read below.

Go to the northern part of the base where the helipads are for the flyers you had to destroy in the last mission here. There will be thirteen scattered around from the entrance to the eastern wall. Just circle the entire area and get the one in the ditch in front of the air control tower and you’ll get all of them here. Now go back through the west entrance and go south. Go east the very first chance you get. You will enter a garage area where you will find a lot of EDF vehicles including a tank. Destroy all the crates in here and follow the path in the back for a couple more and you will have a total of sixteen in this area. Continue to the east to the barracks for one more crate. Go to the road with the gas station on the south side of the base for seven more crates.

Oasis

Start in the eastern most entrance to Oasis. Take a left so you will be going on the western most road here in between where the heavy metal and guerilla raid missions were. At the top of the hill on the northern side of the road will be two EDF supply crates. Now go to the northeastern part of the residential area for ten more crates scattered in front of three different buildings.

Go to the EDF base just northwest of the Oasis Safehouse on the other side of the hills. There will be a total of twelve in this base. Most of them are at the gas station in the beginning and the garage in the back but there will be a few hidden in the middle so make sure to get those too.

Starting from the western entrance to Oasis, go north and take a left when you see it. You will see a garage on each side of the road as you leave this small checkpoint. There will be eight supply crates in the northern garage and seven in the southern garage. Continue down this road until you reach the Ark Power Reactor Core area. There will be six around the barracks before you enter the large fenced area. Inside the fenced area, there will be a total of six.

There is a small EDF base just to the east of the Ark Power Reactor Core I mentioned above. Enter it for a total of six in this base, three in the first part and three in the second part.

The last bunch is all in the northwestern corner of Oasis. For the sake of explaining this easily, find the bridge in the southeastern part of this area. Go under it and north. Go to the first fenced area with the crane to the west for six crates. Cross the road to the east in the fenced area for two more. Continue to the far north of this road for the building at the end and there will be eight total in and around this building. Go west from here and you will see two more on the side of the road, continue to the northwest corner.

Go to the building with the transporter mission. There will be one behind the building southeast of here on the other side of the road. You will see six all the way around this garage and then one more next to the building west of here.

Go south from the above crates along the western most road. You will see a large building on the east side of this road, there will be four in here. Continue south for two more on the south side of the road. There will also be one inside and outside of the building across the street to the north.

****If you have been following this guide from the start up until now, you will get the trophy/achievement for breaking 250 Supply Crates but there are still more. For the sake of listing every crate and completion purposes, I will keep going on.

Continue east from the above crates and you will see three in and around the fenced area on the south side of the road. Across the street, along the road to the north, will be two more. Drive east from here to the depot that you had to protect during the first Red Faction mission in Oasis. There will be ten in or around the building. Don’t forget the two in the back to the north.

Free Fire Zone

There will be a couple of EDF Supply crates in the small base in the southwest corner of Free Fire Zone. There will also be a couple at the checkpoint at the southern end of the main road. The rest will be in the artillery base in the north, there’s a lot up there so make sure you look all around that base if you want to get them all.

Eos

There’s a couple of crates in the southern EDF base in Eos. The rest are all in the far northern base that you will see in the last missions in the game.

Mount Vogel

There are just a few in Mount Vogel, they will all be on the far eastern side along the roads.

8. Important Properties (RF08)

Parker

Processing Plant Smoke Stack

  • Location: Across the street from the Parker Safehouse
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: There is only going to be a couple of EDF soldiers guarding this smoke stack. Kill him and set charges on it to bring it down.

Processing Plant Smoke Stack

  • Location: North of the previous smoke stack
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: Follow the road to the east of the smoke stack and break down the wall behind it. Break through some pipes and bring down this smoke stack with a couple of charges.

Processing Plant Smoke Stack

  • Location: Northeast corner of Parker
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: There will be a lot of EDF soldiers guarding this area so be very careful as you approach it. The best way to do this is to grab a dump truck and smash through the wall and try and smash through the smoke stack. If you can’t, simply get out and throw charges at it.

Processing Plant Smoke Stack

  • Location: Northeast corner of Parker
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: This smoke stack is right next to the one I listed above, follow the same strategy.

EDF Ore Processing Plant

  • Location: Northeast corner of Parker
  • Control: 80
  • Importance: High
  • Tips: This building will have a lot of EDF soldiers around it. You can try to follow the same strategy I listed for the two smoke stacks above or you can get in there and throw charges at the sides of the smoke stacks facing the processing plant. Blow the smoke stacks up and they will tip over onto the plant and destroy the plant too.

Dust

Ark Refinery Smokestack

  • Location: East of the quarry to the far west
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: There is actually a guerilla raid to the east of the northern Dust Safehouse that comes here. I suggest destroying the smoke stacks here after you complete that raid since there won’t be any EDF around.

Ark Refinery Smokestack

  • Location: East of the quarry to the far west
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: Look above, just do the guerilla raid and destroy these while you are over there.

Chemical Depot Supply

  • Location: Southern tip of Dust
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: I suggest destroying this building with the walker during the mission Industrial Revolution.

Chemical Depot Supply

  • Location: Southern tip of Dust
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: I suggest destroying this building with the walker during the mission Industrial Revolution.

EDF Garage

  • Location: Northern Dust in wind farm
  • Control: 12
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: This is great while you destroy the turbines, just run through it with a large vehicle a couple of times, the dump truck is perfect for this.

Tharsis Point Wind Turbine

  • Location: Northern Dust
  • Control: 40 [Must destroy all 12]
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: You can easily destroy all of these by smashing through them in a vehicle. I suggest a dump truck since they take a beating and there will be plenty of EDF chasing you down by the time you finish.

Southeast Guard Tower

  • Location: Northeastern corner of Dust right by the road to Badlands
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: This part can be fairly difficult so I suggest making a couple of trips. Go with the dump truck and simply destroy this tower. If your dump truck is about to blow up, run away. If not, destroy the other tower below.

Southwest Guard Tower

  • Location: Northeastern corner of Dust right by the road to Badlands
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: This part can be fairly difficult so I suggest making a couple of trips. Go with the dump truck and simply destroy this tower. If your dump truck is about to blow up, run away. If not, destroy the other tower above.

Dust Town Hall

  • Location: Northeastern corner of Dust right by the road to Badlands
  • Control: 80
  • Importance: High
  • Tips: The best way to approach this is after you destroy both guard towers. After you do, grab a dump truck and just smash in through the front door and destroy as much of it as you can. There will be a lot of enemies here shooting at you so your truck likely won’t survive. Get out towards the back of the building and finish it off while you have the building as cover. There is a wall to the west of here you can break down and run through the mountains to escape the EDF chasing you.

EDF Executive Housing

  • Location: Directly southeast of the northern Dust Safehouse
  • Control: 60
  • Importance: High
  • Tips: This one can be very difficult to destroy so unless you really want to, I suggest just ignoring it. There will be a lot of cannons all around the front of the building shooting at anything that comes close and they’re very powerful. The best thing to do is to come in early and destroy both bunkers with the cannons in it and then come back when the alert level is green. Smash through the building in a large truck and finish it off with explosives before too many EDF soldiers come by. If you can’t use your vehicle to escape, run along the southern edge of the mountains and just sprint until you reach the road and grab the first vehicle that drives by.

EDF Landing Pad

  • Location: Directly southeast of the quarry in western Dust
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: This one can be kind of tough for medium importance because there are a lot of troops around it. Grab something large and smash through it a couple of times.

Ark Mining Excavator

  • Location: In the quarry in western Dust
  • Control: 15
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: Simply drive to the bottom of the quarry and smash through it until it is destroyed.

Badlands

Southeast Guard Tower

  • Location: South of the demolition mission where you throw hydrogen tanks down the pipe
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: I suggest taking the nano rifle and rocket launcher to this location. Be careful because there will be a lot of marauders around here but fortunately they will distract the EDF. Simply shoot each leg of the tower with the nano rifle to bring the whole thing down.

Southwest Guard Tower

  • Location: South of the demolition mission where you throw hydrogen tanks down the pipe
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: Same as above, shoot each leg of the tower to bring the whole tower down.

Badlands Barracks

  • Location: South of the demolition mission where you throw hydrogen tanks down the pipe
  • Control: 15
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: This is why I said bring the rocket launcher for the first guard tower. Just shoot a couple rockets at this one while the EDF is busy with the marauders.

West Guard Tower

  • Location: At western road to Oasis
  • Control: 10
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: Bring the nano rifle and simply shoot each leg of the tower to bring it down or ram through the legs in a vehicle.

EDF Garage

  • Location: At western road to Oasis
  • Control: 12
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: Use the rocket launcher for this one or just ram through it with a vehicle a couple of times.

Harrington Memorial Bridge

  • Location: Northwest section of Badlands
  • Control: 80
  • Importance: High
  • Tips: This is actually a lot easier to destroy than it looks. All you need is to have a rocket launcher and nano rifle with you. Go under the bridge and shoot out the part of the bridge connecting each side with the rocket launcher so the only thing holding it up are the supports. Now look at the supports, you can’t destroy the cement parts but you can destroy the steel beams. The best way to do this with the limited ammo you have without making a trip for more ammo is to shoot the very bottom of the beams. Take a look at the picture I drew to the left. The best thing to do is to aim where the star is. If you destroy that connection at the angle on every support the whole bridge will come down.

**All of the important properties below are in the same general area along the center of northern Badlands. The best way to bring all of these down is after you complete the mission Emergency Response. There will be a light walker there with jetpacks. Grab it after you complete the mission and head over to this

area and just destroy everything there. If you already did the mission, you may want to just take your time and attack one target at a time. This area is very heavily guarded so it really just takes some patience and skill to clear out.**

Oasis

Kuroari Industries Smokestack

  • Location: Northwest corner of Oasis
  • Control: 60 [Must destroy all 12 of them]
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: Once you start to destroy these, there will be tons of EDF coming your way to stop you. I suggest having the rocket launcher and arc welder along with another weapon of your choice. Destroy the smoke stacks with your rocket launcher and a tank will quickly appear. Use the arc welder to kill the driver and then just use the tank to destroy the rest of the smoke stacks.

EDF Convoy Station

  • Location: Just northwest of the Oasis Safehouse
  • Control: 60
  • Importance: High
  • Tips: There’s a lot of EDF soldiers around here and the path is kind of windy once you enter the base so be careful. Try to grab a heavily armored vehicle and smash through it a few times to bring the building down quickly. Once it goes down, get out of there quickly.

Amrukuo Power Barracks

  • Location: Southwest Oasis
  • Control: 15
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: This will be the first building you come across in this area. Kill the gunner in the bunker and focus on the barracks. There’s a lot to destroy to bring it down but fortunately there aren’t too many guards around here.

East Reactor Cooling Tower

  • Location: Southwest Oasis
  • Control: 12
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: Just a small tower, a couple of rockets will bring it down.

West Reactor Cooling Tower

  • Location: Southwest Oasis
  • Control: 12
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: Just a small tower, a couple of rockets will bring it down.

Ark Power Reactor Core

  • Location: Southwest Oasis
  • Control: 80
  • Importance: High
  • Tips: You will see four large tanks all around this one large tank. Just blow up those tanks and it will take the large one out in the blast.

Free Fire Zone

All of the important locations in Free Fire Zone will be in the artillery base to the north. They are all right next to each other and you will only see them during the Free Fire Zone mission which will be your only chance to destroy them and reduce control. You don’t have to destroy any other than the Artillery System Power Cores to liberate Free Fire Zone. I’m not going to list strategies for them because they’re right next to each other and enemies won’t respawn in this location.

Hendrix Hall

  • Location: Martian Council
  • Control: 80
  • Importance: High
  • Tips: This building actually comes down very easily. You can take any truck and just drive around the walls without much resistance and bring the whole thing down quickly.

Council Square EDF Monument

  • Location: Martian Council
  • Control: 60 [Must destroy all 3]
  • Importance: Medium
  • Tips: A couple nano rifle shots at each leg will quickly bring it down.

Eos Memorial Bridge

  • Location: Western Eos
  • Control: 80
  • Importance: High
  • Tips: If you have the thermobaric rocket launcher, just get under it and shoot both sides. You may have to also shoot some of the supports on top with the nano rifle to bring down whatever is left holding it up.

9. Propaganda Locations (RF09)

Parker

  • As you leave the Parker Safehouse, drive to the east and the propaganda sign will be on the right side of the road.
  • As you leave the Parker Safehouse, drive to the west and the propaganda sign will be on the right side of the road in front of the first building to the right.

Dust

  • Start from the southern Dust Safehouse and take a left out of the safehouse road. There will be a propaganda sign on the west side of the road just before you reach the EDF-controlled buildings. Now turn around and go to the Chem Depot directly to the east of here. There will be one on the road at the northern exit of the Chem Depot.
  • Follow the eastern road north from the southern Dust Safehouse just past the last one mentioned above. There will be one on the side of the road at the first T intersection with a road going east. Follow the road east and go up the hill for another one. Keep following this road and take your first right for the next one.
  • Go to the southern road that is connected to Parker. Drive east down this road for the first one just as you enter Dust. Take a right to stay on the lower path and then a left and then another right to go past the quarry. The next sign will be on the side of the road in front of the Ark Refinery. Keep following this road east past the bridge that is destroyed in the mission with the walker for the next one.
  • Go to the transporter mission in the northwest corner. It will be on the side of the road just as you enter the base. Now follow this windy road down the canyon and it will be in the middle of the road almost directly south of this one, slightly to the east. It will be at the bottom of the hill where you meet with the road that drives into the Free Fire Zone.
  • There is one in the wind farm to the north. As you approach the wind farm from the south, you can’t miss it.
  • There is one just south of the Dust town hall in the northeast corner. It will be on the road that travels north/south on the east side.

Badlands

  • The first is at the checkpoint at the northern road connecting to Dust. Follow this road north and pass the bridge. The next will be at the checkpoint leading to Oasis. Follow this road east and take your first left turn through the small access road with the gas station, the last propaganda sign will be at the end of this road.

Oasis

  • The best way to destroy all of the propaganda signs is to just make a single sweep across Oasis. Start with a vehicle in the southwestern entrance to Oasis. Drive up the road to the north for the first one on the side of the road. Continue north and there will be a second on the left bend. Keep driving on this road, skip the first right turn but make the second right turn, it will be at a gas station. The next sign will be right in front of the EDF base. Continue on the road to the east until you reach the northeast corner, you will see two more on this road.
  • From here, the road will start to go to the south, follow it to the residential area and you will see one more propaganda sign before entering the residential area. As you enter the residential area, you will see on one a hill. Destroy it and continue down the western hill, destroy the next one you see along the road. Continue until you reach the next left turn and you will see another one. Destroy it but don’t go up that road. Continue southeast to the eastern entrance to Oasis/Badlands for another. From here, drive to the eastern road and you will see the last one here totally for five in this small residential area not including the one just before you enter that’s almost on the text “Oasis Residential” on your map.

Free Fire Zone

  • Drive along the west/east road along the southern edge of Free Fire Zone. There will be two roads going north that you will pass along this road, there will be one propaganda sign on each road. The last will be at the entrance of the EDF Artillery Base in the north.

Eos

  • Starting from the road at the bottom of the hill west of the western Eos Safehouse, you will see one at the gas station. Follow the road west and then north, sticking to the western most road. You will see two more as you head north. Get to the northernmost road from here and go east. When the road turns right, you will see one across the intersection and to your left. Destroy both of those and continue east. Almost right away, you will see another on your left at the top of the hill and then another quick one on your right.
  • Keep driving east from the above description until you start to drive south. Look at the northeastern corner of the road to the hill to the north for one on the hill. Look the southwest of here almost across the street and at the southern end of this hill, there will be another here. Continue south and cross the bridge for one more on your left. Stick to this road for another on your left and then you will start to go west. There will be one quickly on the hill to your right. Continue further and you will see one on both sides of the street almost across from each other right at the bottom of the hill of the safehouse. The one on the northern side will be on the top of a large hill so look up.
  • Continue west and take a left on the dirt path when you reach it. When you reach the road again, look to the south for one on the top of the hill. Continue down this road to the west for one more before the bridge to the east. Look to the east and you will see one on the other side of the bridge to the northeast. Cross the bridge and follow the road until you reach the north bridge, look to the west on the bridge for another on the hill. Go to the east from here to the next bridge, there will be one to the west of the bridge on the hill.

If you’ve followed this section of the guide, you will get the 50 you need for the trophy/achievement by this point.

  • Go slightly south of this bridge for another on the western hill. Jump off the bridge you were just on and go east. When you reach the end of the path, go south. There will be one on the hill here. Now just go to the northern demolition mission to the east and the last one will be to the west of the building you have to destroy.

10. Radio Tag Locations (RF10)

Parker

  • Move to the far southwest corner of Parker where there are a couple of buildings and an EDF Assault mission was. Move to the far south of this area and look for a hill that you can climb to the east. Climb the hill and follow the path along the top of this hill to find the radio tag.
  • Leave the Parker Safehouse and take a left. Follow the road and take the first left you can. Keep following the road and it will go slightly uphill. Run into the hills behind some rocks on the right side of the road just before you enter the Free Fire Zone.
  • Drive to the far eastern road in Parker. You will see a large open area on the west side of this road, go through it and follow the canyon to the westernmost path. This is the path you will take for the last mission in Parker to destroy the sensor towers. You will see the radio tag on the hill to the far western side just before the end of the path.

Dust

  • Go to the wind farm in the north. Move to the easternmost wind turbines and look in the hills across the street. You will see a little path through the hills, the radio tag will be in the middle of that path.
  • Leave the northern Dust Safehouse and take a left followed immediately by another left so you will be going west. About halfway between the checkpoint and the split in the road, the radio tag will be behind some rocks on the right side.
  • Leave the northern Dust Safehouse and go to the right. Head just past the building with the house arrest mission and it will be in the hills on the left side.
  • Drive to the demolition mission with the sledgehammer southeast of the northern Dust safehouse. Climb the hill to the north of the building and it will be in a ditch on top of the hill.
  • From the above radio tag, drive directly to the west to the bridge that was destroyed during the mission where you steal the walker. It will be directly south of the northern Dust safehouse. Go into the small chasm and into the cave on the north side, it will be inside.
  • Head over to the town of Dust where the house arrest mission was in southeast Dust. At the road that goes up the hill to access the buildings on the hill, cross the street from the eastern exit. Climb the hill and it will be at the very top of the hill on the left side. There’s quite a bit of climbing involved in this area so you may want to drive up there quickly or wait to just get the jetpack.
  • Head to the northern exit of the Chem Depot in the far southern part of Dust. Look north at the hills and you will see a chasm that goes north from here. Go up that chasm and the radio tag will be at the end just before the cliff.
  • Go to the building in far southwestern Dust that you had to destroy with rockets from a distance in the demolition mission down there. This radio tag will be in a ditch on the north side of that building.

Badlands

  • Go to the old Ultor Mining Complex in southeast Badlands where you did the mission where you follow the Marauders in Dust. As you go up the first building and onto the cliff, enter the next. Smash through the wall on the left as you first enter it to reveal a hidden path. Go through this path and the radio tag will be in a niche along the left wall.
  • Go to the eastern end of the Harrington Memorial bridge and just run straight to the north along the edge of the cliff. The hill will drop down and rise up again. It will be in the area where it rises up again.
  • Go to the northeasternmost road of the mohole and climb the hill on the eastern side. Follow the path around the house there with the miner sitting outside (there’s also a singularity bomb inside for fun) and to the northwest of it on a lower section of the hill is the radio tag.
  • From the above radio tag, cross the pipe there and fall down. Go to the north of the northern end of the pipe and you will see an opening in the hill. You will need a vehicle or a jetpack to get up there. Climb up that hill and at the top of the hill in a small ditch is the next radio tag.
  • Go to the west of the mission that starts in the mohole and you will see a hill. Run around the hill so you will be on the west side and climb the top. This area is kind of a pain in the butt so you want to look at the radar for the radio tag. It will be at the highest point in this hill.
  • Look directly to the west from the above radio tag and you will see a wrecked dump truck. The radio tag will be right next to it at the foot of the hill.
  • Go to the southern edge of Badlands where you followed the marauder vehicle in the Dust mission. Watch the cliff to the side and you will see a path leading up to the top. Go up it and turn around, it will be in a large circular object that tipped over. It will be southwest of the transporter mission.
  • Stay on the southern area and go east of that rock that the marauders drove through. Head to the southwest corner of this area and climb the hills to a building, it will be inside.
  • Go to the irradiated zone. At the first split where you have to go north or south, there is a radio tag on the very top of the hill that is causing that split.
  • Go to the far southeastern corner of the irradiated zone just where there isn’t any radiation anymore. There are actually two radio tags right next to each other on the side of the southernmost mountains.
  • Go to the furthest eastern point of the southern section of Badlands, even east of the Marauder safehouse. Look to the west for the closest hill and it will be on the top. It will be in the southeastern section, not on the edge of the map but the next closest set of hills.

Oasis

  • Go to the far western tip of Oasis where the transporter mission is next to where the Heavy Metal mission was. There will be a radio tag under the pipe at the top of the hill to the west.
  • As you leave the road from the Oasis Safehouse, take a left so you will go west. About halfway through until you reach the next dirt road going north, climb the hill to the north. It will be in the middle of the top of this hill.
  • As you leave the road from the Oasis Safehouse, take a right so you will be driving northeast. Take a left at the next split in the road and stop at the small checkpoint in the road that you will immediately see. Look to the south of the checkpoint, it will be hiding behind the rocks.
  • Go to where the map says “Oasis Residential” in the east. Go directly to the east from where the text is and you will see a valley. Drive up it and climb the hill to the south as you go through the valley, it will be on the top of that hill.

Free Fire Zone

  • Go to the transporter mission just southwest of the EDF artillery base. The radio tag will be just to the east of it, slightly down the hill on the north side.
  • Look at the map in the northeast corner for three large craters right next to each other. Go to the southeastern of the three and look to the east, you will see a small path leading up through the hills. One will be in the back of that path.
  • Go to the small base in the southwestern corner of Free Fire Zone. Look on the left side and you will see a flat area with ore, skip that part and go to the next path up the mountains. It will be at the very end of this path in a large crater.

Eos

  • Go to the heavy metal mission to the north. Go to the east along the mountains and start to go north. It will be on the edge of a cliff in that corner of the area.
  • Go up the hill southeast of the Guerilla Raid mission to the north, it will be behind some rocks at the top of the hill.
  • Drive up to where the road to Mount Vogel is. Just before you enter Mount Vogel, go straight south along the border. Climb a couple of hills. It will be in the hills, almost directly to the east of the three helipads that you can see on the map.

Mount Vogel

  • Go to the building where you get in the tank in the last mission. It will be to the east of the building behind some rocks.
  • Go to the transporter mission to the east and follow the cliff on the south side. Further south and slightly to the west, you will see a large cliff. Look down it and you will eventually see the radio tag sitting on a small ledge you’ll have to jump down to.

12. Weapons (RF12)

Some of these weapons are attained by purchasing them with salvage. To unlock some of them, you will have to complete certain tasks such as liberating a sector or completing a certain amount of guerilla actions. For those, check the Upgrades section directly above this one. The rest of the weapons, you can just pick up off enemies that you killed and when you do, it will always appear in ammo boxes.

Arc-Welder

  • The Arc-Welder is a great weapon for close range, especially when there are several enemies around you. The best part of this weapon is that it can kill enemies in vehicles which is great for convoys or even a tank that is near you.

Assault Rifle

  • This gun should be in your hands throughout most of the beginning of the game. It is used by most enemies so you most likely won’t run out of ammo with it and it’s great against foot soldiers.

Enforcer

  • This weapon isn’t as powerful but it’s great if you have problems aiming. The bullets will change course to guide into the enemies and hit them.

Gauss Rifle

  • The Gauss Rifle is a very nice weapon in all situations. It is very powerful and can even do a good amount of damage to vehicles. You can carry a good amount of ammo at a time so once you can find it, it’ll be worth your while to keep it on you.

Grinder

  • This weapon is great for killing individual enemies. You have to charge up a shot and it will fire a razor disc at the enemy.

Gutter

  • This is the only other melee weapon other than the sledgehammer in the game. It’s kind of pointless to waste a slot in carrying because it’s slow and you have to carry the sledgehammer anyway but feel free to pick it up to add it to your collection.

M.O.A.B.

  • The MOAB is an incredibly large bomb placed inside of your vehicle. You must destroy the vehicle to cause the bomb to go off. To discover the location of these, you have to find three radio tags.

Nano Rifle

  • One of the best weapons in the game. It’s very powerful against soldiers and vehicles and when upgraded, can easily make you a one-man killing machine. It’s also great for destroying buildings since whatever you shoot will disintegrate.

Peacekeeper

  • This is basically another version of the shotgun. It’s amazing at close range but is pointless at long range.

Pistol

  • This weapon is kind of pointless. It’s slow and weak. Once you get a weapon to replace it with, you should.

Proximity Mine

  • These are great as a defense weapon. You can throw them on the ground and they will explode when enemies are near them. Just be careful because once they’re charged, anything will blow them up. You may want to just carry charges instead of these though.

Rail Driver

  • One of the best weapons in the game. It has an x-ray scope and to top it off, you can kill enemies through walls with this gun. If you can, make sure to pick this gun up.

Remote Mining Charge

  • These are great to keep on you for destroying buildings or killing enemies. Toss one on top of a vehicle with a turret and you’ll kill the gunner very easily. It’s also fun to make one stick to an enemy and watch him run around screaming.

Rocket Launcher

  • The rocket launcher is very powerful and can easily bring down buildings and destroy enemy vehicles. There are also a good amount of modifications you can make to it to make it even more powerful.

Shotgun

  • Very nice for short range but otherwise, it’s useless. One well-placed shot can easily kill any soldier that stands in your way but by that point, you can easily use whatever other weapon you have, even the sledgehammer.

Singularity Bomb

  • These are incredibly overpowered and can’t be purchased or saved to your ammo bin. You have to find them in EDF property and carry them until you use it. It will suck in the walls and anything else around it and then cause a massive explosion.

Sledgehammer

  • You start with this and are forced to carry it throughout the game. It is very powerful and can kill enemies with one hit. It can also destroy buildings fairly quickly.

Sniper Rifle

  • Exactly what it sounds like. It’s awesome for picking off enemy soldiers at long range but it’s useless otherwise.

Thermobaric Rocket Launcher

  • This is much more powerful than the regular rocket launcher. You can also make it explode in mid-air.

13. Strategies (RF13)

A great way to protect yourself is to try to always stay near a vehicle. If you’re running low on health and can’t find cover, run straight to the vehicle and get in the vehicle. Once you press triangle to enter the vehicle, you will be invincible and the health bar will be the health bar of the vehicle. Give your health a couple of seconds to regenerate and leave the vehicle to rejoin the battle.

Try to always be ready for all situations when it comes to weapons. You obviously want to keep a good close to medium range weapon such as the assault rifle but the rest of the weapons you carry is up to you. The rocket launcher with the heat-seeking add-on attached is a great weapon to carry in case you come across a lot of enemies in vehicles. The last weapon should be something that’s good for both infantry and vehicles. A good third option is the nano rifle or the gauss rifle.

You will notice very quickly that the best way to destroy buildings is with large and heavy vehicles. The dump truck is the best for destroying high-importance buildings since it is large and can take a lot of damage. To do even better, you can put a M.O.A.B. in the vehicle and attach some remote charges to it. Smash into the middle of the building, get out, and blow up the charges for the vehicle to explode and the M.O.A.B. to blow up and you will easily destroy any large building.

If you want to get the achievement/trophy for completing all of the guerilla actions, I highly recommend starting the game over and looking at the guerilla actions section of this guide. Some guerilla actions will not start until you do some story missions. The way I suggest doing it is to complete all except for the last mission in each sector and then doing all of the guerilla actions. Make sure to also do all of the radio-spawned guerilla actions. Just check them off from the guerilla actions section in this guide or just drive through all the roads a couple of times until no more guerilla actions appear.

If you want to get the achievement/trophy for beating all of the pro times in the transporter missions, I highly recommend doing them after you liberate the sector. Most transporter missions will have soldiers chasing you regardless if you liberated the sector but if you liberate the sector, you won’t have to worry about any extra EDF soldiers that may be patrolling the area you have to drive around.

If you want to get the achievement/trophy for mining all of the ore and breaking all of the EDF supply crates, I highly recommend doing it after you liberate the sector. It’s ok to smash all of them as you see them but it’s much easier to go by the maps/guide if you don’t have to deal with EDF soldiers attacking you as you walk through the EDF bases to smash any supply crates and run past the soldiers to mine some ore.

For transporter missions, try to always drive in the straightest line possible. For example, look at the turn to the left. Assume the right angle is the road. If there is nothing to the right side of the road, just drive through the dirt on the side of the road. Just don’t do this if there are rocks or oddly shaped hills in the way because they can slow you down more than it’s worth.

When you go over a jump with the vehicle, you will notice that by moving your analog stick, the vehicle will tilt and lean. The best thing to do is to tilt the vehicle to try to land on all four wheels at once. This will allow you to just keep going without losing any speed. If you have trouble landing on all four wheels at once, you’re better off landing on your rear wheels first. Also another good habit to start is to go over jumps as straight as possible to prevent spinning when you land.

15. Contact (RF15)

Got any suggestions, comments, critiques, or just a simple thanks to me? Well, you could e-mail me at FrankTheTank3388@gmail.com and tell me what you think! You could tell me whatever you’d like about the game whether it is a strategy to use in a certain mission or just a simple easter egg. I will try to get back to you as quickly as possible answering any questions you may have. Just make sure you have Red Faction: Guerrilla in the subject of the e-mail and please don’t send me any attachments. I have recently gotten a virus through my e-mail and I had to reformat and I don’t want to do that again. So please just don’t send attachments with the e-mails because I won’t download them either way.

Things/How to E-Mail me about:

  • What you think about this guide.
  • If you need any additional help or clarification.
  • Some tips for missions that aren’t in this guide.
  • Anything you think would be a good addition to this guide.
  • Make sure your subject indicates you’re trying to contact me about this game.
  • Just a simple thanks!

Things/How NOT to E-Mail me about:

  • Things that don’t have anything to do with the game.
  • Anything that is already clearly discussed in this guide.
  • Any file attachments.
  • Please check the Frequently Asked Questions section below. If your question is answered there, I will not reply to your e-mail.
  • With really bad grammar! I understand that for some people, English isn’t their first language but that doesn’t mean you should send me something completely unreadable because you’re too lazy to use punctuations or spaces. If I can’t understand what you’re trying to say, your e-mail will be ignored.

16. Frequently Asked Questions (RF16)

Q – Why can’t I start the Hammer of Gods mission in Eos? A – You have to reduce EDF control to zero. There are more missions after it but the game treats this mission as if it’s the last mission in Eos until you find out there are more. Also, you have to have bought the Nano Forge from the upgrade table by this point in the game.

Q – I’m having trouble finding … A – Unfortunately this is a text-based FAQ so I can only try my best in describing the locations of things. If you need any visuals, try this website and check what you are looking for. You can click on the markers on the map for screenshots. http://www.msxbox-world.com/features/Red-Faction-Guerrilla/index.php

Q – A radio spawned guerilla action won’t start for me. A – The radio spawned guerilla actions are a pain because sometimes they take forever to spawn. Try to drive around the entire sector and more specifically, around where the mission takes place. It’ll pop up eventually.

Q – I can’t find one of the radio tags and I’m where it says on the map. A – A good way to find the radio tags when you are in the general area is to look at the radar. It will flash as a small green dot on the mini-map.
