History:

Children of Silentown is a dark adventure game that tells the story of Lucy, a young girl growing up in a village deep within a forest inhabited by monsters. People disappearing is not uncommon in the village, but this time, Lucy is old enough to investigate on her own. Or at least she thinks she is. Follow Lucy and her little friends in this dark and beautifully designed adventure game from the creators of Little Briar Rose. ~ Elf Games

The story doesn’t deviate much from the standard, a city surrounded by a forest inhabited by monsters, but despite being cliché, Children of Silentown develops the plot well and the theme suits the game a lot!

Gameplay:

Children of Silentown is a point and click game, that is, its only mechanic is using the mouse, literally pointing where or what object you want and clicking, for those who enjoy the genre, this game is a hit, but for those who don’t So a fan, maybe this isn’t the best option.

I’m in the middle ground, I enjoy the genre but depending on the game I get bored quickly, with Children of Silentown luckily this didn’t happen, because in addition to the point and click, the game has a horror feel, which constantly captures the player’s attention. Several mysteries are happening and it is up to us, controlling the main character, Luzia in Portuguese, to unravel them through puzzles.

In the end, Children of Silentown did a good job combining horror, a heavier theme with two lighter genres, puzzle and point and click, which makes the “light” game perfect for those who don’t have a lot of time to play and also don’t have much time to play. want something stressful. The puzzles in general are easy to solve, but still require attention to the game. Especially when it comes to finding certain items on the map.

My only problem is regarding the character’s speed, in many moments I found myself clicking frantically on the mouse to try to make her get to places faster, because her pace, in my opinion, is very slow, I missed having an option that make her actually walk faster, the one present in the game doesn’t change her speed that much.
