Complete guide for you to collect all the white gems and also the colored gems in the three games in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy collection:

Crash Bandicoot (First Game)

White Gems:
>> In each stage of the game you will get a white gem (there is only one in each stage), except in The Great Hall stage and in the bosses.
>> The gem for each stage will appear after you break all the boxes in the respective stage; but, pay attention, because in some of the game’s stages, it will only be possible for you to find all the boxes (and consequently break all of them), when you have access to some paths in the stage that are blocked, and which you will only be able to unlock after be able to win a certain colored gem that the stage requires.
>> By collecting all the white gems, you will unlock the path to The Great Hall , which leads to the second ending of the game.

Colored Gems:
>>There are 06 (six) colored gems in the entire game. To collect any of the colored gems, you must break all the boxes in the level without dying, that is, you cannot lose any lives while collecting the boxes in the level.
>> Crash Bandicoot’s six colored gems are in the following stages:

  • Green gem : It is located in phase 10 (Lost City). This gem is important to unlock the path to the gems in phase 2 (Jungle Rollers) and phase 23 (Castle Machinery).
  • Orange gem : It is located in phase 17 (Generator Room). This gem is important to unlock the path to phase 5 (Upstream) gems.
  • Blue gem : It is located in phase 18 (Toxic Waste). This gem is important to unlock the path to the gems of phase 6 (Rolling Stones), phase 16 (Cortex Power) and phase 22 (Jaws of Darkness).
  • Red gem : It is located in stage 20 (Slippery Climb). This gem is important for unlocking the path to the phase 8 (Native Fortress) and phase 12 (Road to Nowhere) gems.
  • Purple gem : It is located in phase 21 (Lights Out). This gem is important to unlock the path to the phase 13 gems (Boulder Dash).
  • Yellow gem : It is located in phase 24 (The Lab). This gem is important to unlock the path to the phase 3 (Great Gate) and phase 21 (Lights Out) gems.

Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back

White Gems:
>> There are 37 (thirty-seven) white gems in the entire game.
>> In each phase of the game you will get a white gem if you break all the boxes; however, in some stages of the game, you will be able to collect two white gems. This second white gem found in some levels will be collected if you complete certain missions, which are listed below.
>> The phases with more than one white gem are as follows:

  • Phase 3 (Hang Eight): You must complete the phase before the timer runs out.
  • Phase 7 (Air Crash): You must follow the skull path, and complete it without losing any lives.
  • Phase 12 (Sewer or Later): You must complete the secret gem path (to complete this mission, you must first collect the yellow gem).
  • Phase 14 (Road to Ruin): You must follow the skull path, and complete it without losing any lives.
  • Phase 17 (Diggin It): You must follow the skull path, and complete it without losing any lives.
  • Phase 18 (Cold Hard Crash): You must follow the skull path, and complete it without losing any lives.
  • Phase 19 (Ruination): You must explore the “path by checkpoint”.
  • Phase 21 (Pistion It Away): You must follow the skull path, and complete it without losing any lives.
  • Phase 23 (Night Flight): You must follow the skull path, and complete it without losing any lives.
  • Phase 25 (Spaced Out): You must complete the secret gem path (to complete this mission, you must first collect all the colored gems).

Colored Gems:
>>There are 05 (five) colored gems in the entire game.
>> To collect each of the colored gems, there will be a different mission for you to complete:

  • Blue gem : It is located in phase 1 (Turtle Woods). To collect this gem, you must finish the level without breaking any boxes. Doing so will unlock paths in stage 3 (Hang Eight) and stage 25 (Spaced Out).
  • Red gem : It is located in phase 2 (Snow Go). In phase 7 (Air Crash), finish the phase using a portal that directs you to a secret path. Doing so will unlock paths in stage 6 (Snow Biz) and stage 25 (Spaced Out).
  • Green gem : It is located in phase 10 (The Eel Deal). Finish the secret level behind the fake wall. This fake wall is next to a group of Nitro crates. Doing so will unlock paths in stage 19 (Ruination) and stage 25 (Spaced Out).
  • Yellow gem : It is located in phase 11 (Plant Food). Finish the level before time runs out. Doing so will unlock paths in phase 12 (Sewer or Later) and phase 25 (Spaced Out).
  • Purple gem : It is located in phase 20 (Bee-Having). You must enter the secret passage, which is on top of the stairs formed by fake Nitro boxes, right after the second Checkpoint. Doing this will unlock paths in stage 25 (Spaced Out).

Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped

White Gems:
>> There are 40 (forty) white gems in the entire game.
>> In each phase of the game you will get a white gem if you break all the boxes; however, in stages 04, 07, 09, 11, 12, 13, 16, 19, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 29 and 30, you will be able to collect two white gems. This second white gem, which can be found in the stages mentioned above, will be collected if you find the secret gem paths, which can be accessed after collecting the colored gems.

Colored Gems:
>>There are 05 (five) colored gems in the entire game.

  • Red gem : It is located in phase 12 (Deep Trouble). At the end of the level there is a box with an exclamation mark (!); Break this box and you will unlock the secret passage that was hidden behind several steel boxes. Follow the path until you find the red gem. By doing this, you will unlock gem paths in the Bone Yard stage and in the Bug Lite stage on the multicolored gem path.
  • Purple gem : It is located in phase 13 (High Time). “Dearth Routes” – You must reach the skull path without losing any lives. Doing this will unlock gem paths on the left, in the Tomb Time stage and in Bug Lite, on the multicolored gem path.
  • Blue gem : It is located in phase 20 (Tomb Wader). “Dearth Routes” – You must reach the platform with the skull face without losing any lives. By doing this, you will unlock gem paths in the Sphynxinator stage and in Bug Lite, in the multicolored gem path.
  • Green gem : It is located in phase 23 (Flaming Passion). “Dearth Routes” – You must reach the platform with the skull face without losing any lives. By doing this, you will unlock gem paths in the Gone Tomorrow stage and in Bug Lite, in the multicolored gem path.
  • Yellow gem : It is located in phase 07 (Hang ‘Em High), but before that, you will need to earn 10 relics (each relic is earned when you complete a Time Trial of a phase). After that, you must access this gem through a secret entrance in the secret Warp Room of phase 27. By doing this, you will unlock paths in the Dino Mighty! phase, with access in phase 32 (Eggipus Rex) and in Bug Lite, on the path of multicolored gems.
