GIZA PLAINS

In this wild expanse, your first point of reference should be the camp located exactly in the center of the plains. Mashua, a remarkable figure, awaits you there. When talking to her, the loyal Penelo joins her team. But before you leave, talk to Kamina. This interaction will reward you with precious items, and will also introduce you to the Gambit system. To switch between your team leaders, use the directional pad, pressing up or down.

Your main objective here is to rescue a lost young boy. Head south to a more secluded region of the plains. When you locate him and engage in a conversation, he will provide you with a special stone. This item will activate an “Energy” marker on your screen. Your challenge is to energize this stone. Look for sparkling stones in the plains and interact with them until you reach a 100% charge. THE ROYAL PALACE OF RABANASTRE

Within the imposing walls of the Royal Palace of Rabanastre, one primary precaution must be taken: make sure you save your progress in a different slot. Once you proceed, the option of returning to the city will no longer be viable. Continuing through the palace corridors, a staircase will reveal the presence of Seeqs and some inhabitants clearly dissatisfied with the Empire’s rule. Then, next to the save crystal, you will notice an intriguing structure that deserves your attention. Bangaa, a reptilian-looking creature, has a battery that will be crucial for progress in the passage. Obtain this battery and position it correctly in the frame. When you do, approach the button next to Bangaa, activating it to reveal a new route.

However, get ready to face the Mimics, mechanical spiders that have the ability to drain energy from electrical cables. Always pay attention to the “Battery” indicator: if it drops below 50%, even more fearsome creatures will make their appearance. As he advances, Basch comes across a blade that exudes almost divine power, but his discovery attracts a threat.

BOSS: Mimic Queen
This mechanical monarch is an opponent to be taken seriously. Vaan must lead the attack, using his most powerful strikes. Basch, armed with his newly discovered sword, will be essential, delivering accurate blows. Choose to control Balthier, keeping a safe distance from the Queen and using your accurate shots. A crucial tip: prevent the location’s energy from running out, as this will amplify the Mimic’s power.

DALMASCA ESTERSAND

Returning to the scorching sands of Dalmasca Estersand, the path back to Rabanastre is marked by frequent battles. This is an excellent time to accumulate experience and LPs. However, more powerful enemies, such as the imposing dinosaur and one-footed creatures, require more elaborate tactics and caution.

THE ROYAL CITY OF RABANASTRE

When he steps back onto the streets of Rabanastre, Vaan will find himself isolated, without his companions. His first mission is to visit Migelo’s store. Disturbing news emerges: Penelo is missing. The wise Daran holds valuable information, and he is the one you should speak to next. After delivering the sword to a specific point indicated on the map, Basch returns to the group. Amid the dark and winding passages of the Lushu Mines, it is essential to have precise skills to ensure the safety of your team. The “Libra” skill is fundamental: with it, you will have the ability to detect traps and monitor the health of your opponents. Stay oriented using the map, as the paths are long and intricate.

At a certain point, Ramon will choose to separate himself from the group, and a new threat presents itself: the Bangaa gang from Bangamonan. The strategy here is clear: avoid direct confrontation. They are formidable opponents and can quickly wipe out your party. Keep the (R2) button pressed to quickly evade the fighting and head directly to the mine entrance.

THE SKY-CITE OF BHUJERBA

On the heights of Bhujerba, a strategic task presents itself. The mission is clear: spread the revelation that Basch still lives. When interacting with citizens, use the button (square) to share this news. However, use caution: avoid the guards at all costs by not talking close to or directly with them. Continue this task until the progress bar reaches 100%. After completing this mission, head to Count Ondore’s residence. When interacting with the guard at the entrance, always select the first dialogue option to ensure correct story progression.

THE DREDNOUGHT LEVIATHAN

Aboard the imposing Leviathan, maximum attention is required. After Wossler joins as a Guest, stay away from the red lines on the doors. These are alarms, and activating them will summon a squad of soldiers. As you progress, you will come across a terminal that requires a special card to access. The card’s location is clearly marked on the map, and once you reach it, prepare for intense combat.

BOSS: Judgemasters
Judges are cunning and powerful opponents. Keep your party healthy by using “Potions” and “Cure” magic, and continuously launch offensive magical attacks to deal significant damage. Continuing, you will find a seller to stock up on items. Ahead, Ashe joins the team. Use alarm deactivation areas strategically, avoiding fighting and saving time. Keep the button (R2) pressed to ensure evasion. Eventually, Wossler will leave, but Penelo will return, starting a new fight.

BOSS: Judgemaster Ghis (Maxim Judge Ghis)
This opponent is relentless. Preparation is key: ensure you have a good supply of “Mist Knacks” items and abilities. Use “Mist Knack” to inflict around 3000 HP of damage. Stay healed, using “Ether” to restore MP as needed and cast more “Mist Knacks”. Ghis has powerful attacks, so stay healed even when your HP is above 60.

THE SKY – CITY OF BHUJERBA

In this brief step, your destination is clear: visit Count Ondore’s residence again.

THE OGIR – YENSA SANDSEA

In this sandy expanse, SaveCrystal is your ally. If necessary, use it to teleport to Rabanastre. Navigate the intricate platforms and look for the exit located in the west of the map. Remember there is more than one exit to the west!

THE NAM – YENSA SANDSEA

In this region, the moogle is a source of essential information. Interact with it, always choosing the first option. Then your mission is clear: locate and confront the giant turtle. The battle can be simpler with an appropriate level and “Mist Knacks” skills. After the battle, talk to the moogle again and head to Ogir-Yensa Sandsea.

IN BACK TO THE OGIR – YENSA SANDSEA

Here, a crucial scene will unfold. When you examine the environment, you will receive the “Liro Flower”. Interact with the moogle, then head west towards the “Tomb of Raithwall”. Remember: if you need supplies, the SaveCrystal at the entrance to Ogir-Yensa Sandsea offers a teleport to Rabanastre. Prepare yourself, as the area ahead is challenging. Stay alert and well equipped.

THE TOMB OF RAITHWALL

In the sandy heart of Raithwall, countless trials await the player, starting with the titanic confrontation with:

BOSS: Garuda
The battle against the majestic Garuda requires tactics and preparation. The initial key is to use the Liro Flower – this item will make Garuda more vulnerable. Once weakened, take the opportunity to unleash your party’s maximum potential by employing Mist Knacks, spells and abilities that raise their attributes. Basch’s Mist Knack, in particular, is devastatingly effective against Garuda. Once this battle is won, a SaveCrystal awaits, offering a teleportation option and, next to it, a vendor with a superior arsenal of items for sale. With supplies replenished, use the Teleporter to enter the sanctuary, advancing to the bridge where a spectacular battle will unfold.

BOSS: Demon Wall
This menacing entity has two distinct phases. At first, he advances quickly, trying to corner the group. The strategy is clear: avoid being cornered by escaping through the door to face the monster’s second phase. Here, the tactic is to run towards the lit torches. By extinguishing them, you temporarily paralyze the Demon Wall. Be equipped with Remedys and Esuna magic to neutralize the harmful effects this boss instills. Use Mist Knacks, spells and other powerful skills, but save your most precious items. Once defeated, you will be presented with three teleporters. The central one, which is the only functional one, returns you to the beginning of the tomb, where a treasure containing the map awaits you. Your next mission: activate two strategically located switches, one to the north and one to the south. Each activation will trigger monster spawns, so clear the room of threats before activating the switches. Once both are active, use the teleporter to return to the central area. Entering the secret passage, a cutscene reveals the appearance of the first summon, Belias.

BOSS: Belias
This fiery being has remarkable resistance against fire-based attacks – spells like Fire actually heal him. Belias’ most feared attack is Firaja, which inflicts enormous damage and leaves the victim with Oil status. The Aburatori item is essential to neutralize this status. The battle against Belias requires the effective use of Mist Knacks and non-fire element magic. Once mastered, Belias becomes available on the License Board. Equipping it on Ashe is a cunning tactic due to his vast MP. Continuing, the search for the Dawn Shard on the pedestal becomes the priority.

ARMY LIGHT CRUISER CLASS SHIVA

Aboard the Shiva, enemy resistance is immediate. At first, armed soldiers will try to stop the group. Focus on neutralizing these threats before confronting the dominant figure.

BOSS: Wossler
If, by chance, Fran is equipped with Belias, she will not be able to use it due to her Berserk state. However, if Belias is available with other characters, summoning him can be a quick solution to dealing with Wossler. Mist Knacks and other skills are also crucial.

THE ROYAL CITY OF RABANASTRE

GIZA PLAINS

The Giza Plains have been completely transformed due to heavy rains, resulting in a flood scenario that makes crossing difficult. However, don’t be intimidated by the changing landscape. Stay focused on the southernmost route, towards the Ozmone Plains.

OZMONE PLAINS

In these vast grasslands, the heavens are ruled by creatures called Zu. These birds of prey present a specific challenge: they can only be hit with long-range weapons like bows or firearms. Unless you are well prepared to face them, consider a more cautious approach and use the (R2) button to escape direct confrontations. Keep moving, passing through two additional sections heading south, then head west, heading towards the next settlement: Jahara.

JAHARA, LAND OF THE GARIFF

Jahara, the domain of the Gariff, is a place steeped in tradition. Here, you’ll meet a generous Gariff named Spinel, who not only gifts Vaan with valuable items but also offers a complimentary chocobo. Don’t hesitate to accept the mount offered by the moogle at the village entrance and use it to return to the Ozmone Plains.

OZMONE PLAINS

Aboard your chocobo, head northeast, keeping your eyes peeled for a special entrance.

THE GOLMORE JUNGLE

This verdant sanctuary hides unimaginable dangers. The creatures of Golmore Forest have special abilities that can affect your party with negative statuses. Your objective here is to head east until you find a blue seal. Fan, using his special powers, will open the way to Eryut Village.

ERYUT VILLAGE

In the serene Village of Vieras, the intrepid Fran will ask for your help in finding a young viera named Myulin. To do this, she heads to the highest point of the village where Yote, the leader, awaits. A dramatic scene will reveal Fran’s troubled past with her tribe. Once the tension dissipates, return to the Ozmone Plains.

OZMONE PLAINS

Back in this familiar territory, a soldier in trouble will request a Potion. By helping him, he will, in gratitude, allow you to ride a chocobo. With this mount, head to the entrance of the Gariff village to the south and locate a trail exclusive to chocobos.

THE GOLMORE JUNGLE

When you step into the mysterious Golmore Forest, head to the blue seal located south of the village entrance. As you advance east, keep your eyes peeled for a SavePoint, a valuable tool, as an uphill battle approaches. A vital tip: ensure you have Esuna magic in your arsenal; it will be essential for the next stage.

BOSS: Elder Dragon

The Winged Dragon is a relentless opponent. Save your MP and avoid using Mist Knacks. The initial focus should be to eliminate the Treants, and then direct all your attacks against the dragon. A big challenge in this combat is the dragon’s ability to impose multiple negative statuses. Use Esuna to cure these statuses and the Oil Remover item (Aburatori) to clear the Oil effect, as the dragon has devastating fire attacks that cause significantly greater damage when the target is under the effect of Oil. Once this creature falls, head even further east.

THE PARAMINA RIFT

In this icy region, begin your exploration. There is a passage to the south that leads to a treacherous forest, which will certainly be revisited later. There is also a hidden entrance on the map that leads to a temple, housing a Summon. However, the time is not yet ripe for this adventure. The destination is now Bur Omisace, located to the northeast.

BUR OMISACE

Bur Omisace offers a valuable opportunity to prepare. Take advantage of the SaveCrystal with teleportation capabilities and don’t hesitate to spend some money in stores to acquire new spells. If you want Larsa’s assistance in any Mob Hunt, now is the ideal time. If you prefer to advance the story, go directly to the temple.

THE STILLHIRNE OF MIRIAN

Before entering the temple, equip an accessory that reduces your MP to zero and, upon entering, activate the switch using the second option. The enemies inside this temple are robust, so Aero magic is an invaluable ally. When you find a switch similar to the one at the entrance, activate it. This will open two doors on the upper level. When you come across a green Crystal, be careful: it will attack. Once defeated, it will turn into a save crystal. At one point, you will find a gigantic wheel that, when examined, will reveal a secret passage. To access it, you need to adjust three statues so that their glowing eyes are facing the center.

BOSS: Vinuscara

Confronting Vinuscara requires strategy. Use Mist Knacks and physical attacks. However, be aware that characters equipped with heavy items will be slower. The intense use of magic is recommended.

BOSS: Matthew

Although Mateus, the second Summon, has abilities like Slow and Sleep, he doesn’t pose much of a threat. Use Mist Knacks and the Belias entity to defeat him.

NALBINA FORTRESS

With the fortress now accessible, head to the north entrance, previously blocked by guards. Local stores provide an opportunity to update your inventory. With your shopping done, head north until you reach the Salika Woods.

SALIKA WOODS

Within this forest, there are an abundance of peaceful creatures. Take advantage of this and attack first to maximize XP. The key to progressing here is to gather 9 moogles hidden in huts scattered throughout the forest. Use the map to facilitate this search. At one point, you’ll encounter a golden crystal and an optional boss. Defeating him will unlock a path to an advanced area, but for now it may be wise to avoid him until you feel ready.

PHON COAST – TCHITA UPLANDS

Upon reaching the Fonn Coast region, the most vital point is the SaveCrystal. Next to this crystal, there will be a distinct NPC who will offer you a special Mob Hunt, different from those typically found on restaurant boards. He will also provide you with a key. This key is extremely important, as in the north of the region, you will find a cave whose entrance will be unlocked using this key. Enter it.

BOSSES: Mandora Prince, King Araune, Onion Queen, Pumpkin Star, Tomato Captain Despite the comical appearance of these enemies, don’t underestimate them. They can be more challenging than they seem at first glance. The secret here is to focus on one at a time, systematically eliminating them. They have abilities that cause negative statuses, so always be ready to heal them with items or spells. After your victory, return to the SaveCrystal area to claim your reward.

SOCHEM CAVE PALACE

Continuing your journey, north of the region where you faced the previous bosses, there is another SaveCrystal. However, be careful! This crystal is an adversary in disguise. Be prepared to face him and, after beating him, use him to save your progress. Taking the northern route, it is crucial to keep your HP at safe levels, as the upcoming battle does not feature the convenience of a nearby SaveCrystal.

BOSS: Ahriman This enemy is cunning. He can cast spells like Death Sentence and Confuse. To complicate matters further, Ahriman has the ability to multiply himself, especially when his HP is low. Focus on eliminating each of your copies and heal yourself using Hi-Potions, as well as the Cure and Cura spells (if already available in your repertoire). After defeating him, he is ready for intense challenges. The route ahead is infested with powerful enemies and dangerous traps. Navigate through it and head to the exit, which leads to Old Archadia.

OLD ARCHADES

THE IMPERIAL CITY OF ARCHADES

The imperial city is a prosperous market. Invest time exploring the various stores and upgrade your inventory with more powerful weapons, armor and magic. To continue your journey, you need to take a taxi. However, after a scene, your access will be denied and you will meet Jule again. To use the taxi you will need to collect 9 White Leafs.
