MAIN MENU [TTMP]

ITEMS – Uses items outside of battle, but only healing items, status recovery and upgrade items (Mech Boost, Apples and Ashley’s Tools) and also key items.

EQUIP – Equip weapons, armor, accessories and mediums on your characters.

AUTO – Auto battle settings if you’re really lazy.

FORM – Changes the formation of the main battle group.

STATUS – See your characters’ statuses and abilities.

CALL – Communicates via radio with the operations base.

ALBUM – Shows a list of enemies you have defeated, with statuses, weaknesses and items that can be dropped or stolen.

SYSTEM – Allows you to change various game settings.


BATTLE MENUS [TTMB]

The battle menu is shaped like a cross and has 5 functions. Are they:

CENTER (FIGHT): Opens a new cross with 5 more functions.

UP (EQUIP): Allows you to change the characters’ equipment and what’s better, it doesn’t take turns to do so.

LOW (FORM): Allows you to replace frontline characters with ones from the rear, but knocked out characters cannot be replaced until they are revived.

LEFT (AUTO-BATTLE): Put it in automatic battle mode, I repeat, use it if you are really lazy.

RIGHT (ESCAPE): Escape from battle, but in some cases this will not be possible, such as in battles against bosses, for example.

When using the “Fight” option, a new menu appears with the following functions:

CENTER (ATTACK): Uses a simple physical attack.

UP (ORIGINAL POWERS): Uses Arms, Spells, Skills and Force Abilities that require the FP (Force Point) bar to be at a certain level to use them. Arms, spells and skills do not consume this bar, but Force Abilities do.

LOW (CUSTOM COMMAND): Uses skills acquired when equipping a medium.

LEFT (ITEM): Uses healing or status recovery items.

RIGHT (GUARD): Defends, reducing damage taken by half.


COMPLETE WALKTHROUGH (STEP BY STEP GUIDE) OF WILD ARMS 2 [WA2DT]

EPISODE 1 – A YOUNG MAN READY FOR ACTION [DTEP1]

A group of soldiers head in a truck for a rescue mission in a place called Whitered Ruins. Among them is a young recruit named Ashley Winchester. The mission is to rescue a boy from the hands of bandits.

Note: During the game, whether in dungeons or on the world map, you should see an arrow with a red tip and a white tip. The red tip always points north and the white tip south. Keep this in mind when following the directions I give during the walkthrough.

Note 2: When a battle is about to begin, a balloon will appear above the character’s head. If this balloon is white, the battle can be avoided by pressing circle or using a Tool. If it is red, the battle cannot be avoided and starts almost immediately, with a high chance of you being surprised or attacked from behind. If it’s green, it means that an enemy will come that you haven’t faced yet, but that’s only after you get the ALBUM.

WHITERED BAD

Talk to everyone. The soldier near the north door recovers his HP if he needs it. Enter the southwest door and get a GIMMEL COIN from the chest. This item serves as a kind of “Continue” if you are defeated in battle. Go forward to a room with a chest containing a MINI CARROT. This item increases the “Force” bar by one level. Go all the way back to the entrance and go through the door to the north. Talk to the northernmost soldier and fall down the hole. Talk to the fallen soldier and he will give you your first Tool, “HURL KNIFE”. Press square to use it. Go through the door on the left and get a HEAL BERRY from the chest. Go back and go up the stairs on the right. Keep moving forward. On the way, there is a chest with another HEAL BERRY. Soon you will be back in the hole. Throw a knife at the mechanism to the north to open the door on the left. Follow it, enter the door to the north and go down the stairs. You will see some golden gems; they recover some HP. Ignore the door to the south and return to the previous hallway. Go left and enter the next door.

Be careful in this part: some stones are loose. Get 2 HEAL BERRIES from the chests and head south. Go forward to another part with loose rocks. Walk slowly to try not to fall. Enter the southeast door and get a BULLET LOAD from the chest. Go back and throw a knife at the northwest mechanism to open the northeast door. Follow it, fall to the bottom and talk to the soldier to recover HP. Go forward to find a “Save Point”. Save and head south and then, at the next door, walk across the bridge slowly until a rock falls. Position the camera (press L1 or R1) so that Ashley is aligned with the pillar, then throw a knife so that she hits the pillar and falls into the mechanism, opening the next door. Go forward and fall down the platforms. Get a STR APPLE from the chest and head south. Go forward until you see a cutscene. Ashley finds the kidnappers, who are very nervous. Ashley talks to Tony, the kidnapped boy, and asks him to distract the bandits, and he does. But, in the confusion, he ends up activating a mechanism that releases a huge monster. The group runs like crazy. Meanwhile, outside, the commander decides to blow up the ruins, even though he knows there are still soldiers inside. Upon learning this, Ashley refuses to evacuate and decides to face the monster alone.

BOSS:

Sealed Monster Weapon KALIVOS

It is divided into three parts: the main body and the two claws. You only need to defeat the main body to win, but if you defeat the claws first you will gain more experience and money. This goes for almost every boss in the game, so I won’t repeat myself. Use normal attacks on the claws and, after they fall, send Shot Weapon to the body. Use a Heal Berry whenever your HP drops below 40 (use Accelerator beforehand just to be safe). When you defeat him, you should earn 2 BIG BERRY.

Despite the huge explosion, everyone manages to get out safe and sound. The kidnappers are arrested. For his disobedience, Ashley is placed under house arrest until they decide his punishment. But he has no regrets and believes he did what was right.


EPISODE 2 – ONCE A HERO, NOW A WAR CRIMINAL [DTEP2]

GREENHELL

Five years ago, a man is chased by soldiers. His name is Brad Evans. Once you have control, go right. In the next area, there are two chests with HEAL BERRIES. Continue forward and, at the fork, head north, get a STR APPLE from the chest and follow the other path. Continue forward and press X to pick up the boxes, press again to throw them. In one of them, there is a HEAL BERRY. Continue forward until you reach a cliff. Move the camera to see where the chest is, fall near it and get a VIT APPLE. Go down and break the boxes for another HEAL BERRY. Continue forward until you see a cutscene. Brad finds a puppy. Soldiers approach, but the puppy distracts them and they leave. Then he comes back and brings a HEAL BERRY. Brad decides to take him with him. Turn right at the fork and you will come to an abandoned house. Enter and save. Go to the room to the north and get the “KICK BOOTS” Tool from the chest.

Leave the house and go to the little door on the right. Use Kick Boots to get her out of the way. Enter the little house ahead and get a BIG BERRY from the chest. Exit and go around the house to a chest containing a BULLET LOAD. Go back to the fork and head north (after moving the boxes out of the way). Continue straight until you reach a kind of cable car. Kick the wooden post and Brad will cross to the other side. Go forward until you see two soldiers looking for him. Brad hides and soon realizes that the two are nothing more than rookies. A monster then appears and, seeing that the two don’t have the slightest chance against it, Brad goes on the attack.

BOSS:

Parasite Colony Monster GREMALKIN

This boss is divided into two parts. Destroy the belly first, use normal attacks, and when FP reaches 25, use Lock On followed by Bazooka. Use a Heal Berry whenever his HP drops below 40. When you defeat him, you should earn a BIG BERRY.

Brad escapes out of the woods. After the scene, you will be on the world map. Go to the sign ahead and examine it. You’ll know that places you haven’t visited yet don’t appear on the world map. You must find them using a sonar that you activate by pressing square. In addition to cities, you can also find items and money. Search the northwest part of the map until you find a village.

T’BOK VILLAGE

Brad is exhausted and collapses right at the entrance to the village. Shortly afterwards, he wakes up in a stable being looked after by a little girl named Merill. She says the dog brought her to him and asks his name. You can change it if you want, but let’s call it Rassyu anyway. Soon, the soldiers chasing Brad arrive at the village and, to avoid bloodshed, Brad decides to turn himself in. Merill asks if he is a bad man. The leader of the soldiers laughs and says Brad is a hero.


EPISODE 3 – A BEGINNING SORCERESS [DTEP3]

PALACE VILLAGE

Some people are having a meeting when a girl appears out of nowhere. Her name is Lilka Eleniak and she intended to go to a place called Valeria Household, but ended up stopping here. Since the people seem friendly, she decides to stay for a while. After the conversation at the house of a woman and her son, the scene changes to a strange location where Lilka tries to activate a mechanism using her magic, but to no avail. She hears her sister’s voice guiding her.

MILLENIUM PUZZLE

Once you have control, examine the green crystal to the south to be transported to another area. Go to the crystal to the north. In the next area, step on the gray square and use the “FIRE ROD” Tool on the blue block. Go north and shoot the blue block on the left and then the one on the right. Go to the crystal on the right, keep going forward until you can’t go any further and shoot the block to the south to go up. Continue to the crystal. In the next area, touch the blue block and shoot. Get off the moving platform and shoot the blue block again. Climb onto the moving platform ahead and shoot once more. Follow it to the crystal. Follow the bridge to the end, fall down and shoot the blue block. Touch the next crystal. Step on the gray square behind the pillar and shoot the blue block. Touch the crystal and shoot the block just ahead.

Head to the crystal that appeared. There are two blocks here. Get close to the northernmost one and shoot the southernmost one and then the other one. Cross the bridge to the next crystal on the right. Go forward until you see another blue block, fall down, step on the square in front of it and shoot to go up. Touch the next crystal. Go to the middle of the bridge and fall to the bridge below. Step on the gray square and shoot the blue block. Touch the next crystal. Step on the gray square behind the pillar and shoot the blue block. Touch the crystal and shoot the blue block ahead. After the conversation, head to the crystal that appeared on the left. There are five paths to follow here, but the side paths are completely optional. Then, step on the gray square to the north and shoot the blue block near it. Touch the crystal and you will arrive in a room with four colored squares. If you step on them, they will start to rise up like pillars. Each one has four blocks, but if you jump before they finish climbing, they will stop.

Well, you must raise the pillars as follows: 1 red block, 2 yellow blocks, 3 blue blocks and 3 green blocks. Head to the crystal to the north. Step on the gray square behind the pillar, shoot the blue block, touch the crystal and shoot the blue block ahead. The door will finally open. After the cutscene, you return to the house. The boy’s father then arrives and says that the village is being terrorized by a monster. Lilka says she will take care of him. Once you have control, talk to the woman in the kitchen and her son upstairs. Leave the house and talk to the woman in blue to save. All the other houses are locked, so don’t waste time trying to get in. Talk to everyone outside until the monster appears:

BOSS :

Boundless Glutton Monster OLIVIER

It is divided into two parts: the main body and the leg, which should be your first target. Use Freeze on it and, after it falls, use Flame on the main body. Heal yourself with Heal if your HP drops below 30. When you defeat him, you should earn a BIG BERRY.

People are happy and in awe of Lilka’s magical power. The next day, she says goodbye to the villagers and uses a Teleport Gem to leave. Will she go to the right place this time?


EPISODE 4 – THE NEW SQUADRON [DTEP4]

TOWN OF MERIA

Ashley will be woken up by Marina, the town baker’s daughter. She says he has a visitor. Examine the barrels to find a RES APPLE and a BULLET LOAD. Leave the room and enter the next one. Examine the barrel to find a SER APPLE (this one you should use on Lilka). Exit and go down the stairs. Examine the barrels, in one of them there is a VIT APPLE. Leave the house and Tony (the boy that Ashley saved, remember?) will introduce his two friends: Scott and Tim. The three are orphans, so they go together looking after each other. They ask Ashley to rescue a kitten from the bakery roof. While we’re at it, let’s take the opportunity to explore the game’s various stores. East of the bakery is the magic shop where you can get spells for Lilka, as long as you have an item called “Crest”. South of the bakery is the “Arms” shop, where you can improve Ashley and Brad’s special attacks. When speaking to the attendant, you will have three options:

  1. Reload is used to reload the ammunition in your Arms, you can do this using a Bullet Load.
  2. Arm Upgrade serves to make improvements in several parameters, they are: ATP – Attack power; HIT – Hit rate; BLT – Maximum number of ARM bullets. Each time you increase one of these parameters, the ARM levels up, reaching a maximum of 10.
  3. The third option is to give up.

To the west of the ARMS store is the Personal Skills store, which are automatic skills, such as increased poison resistance, decreased FP cost, etc. To obtain a Personal Skill you need PS Points that you earn when you level up. You should have about 3 at the moment, so I recommend you get one level of “HP Up” and one of “Poison”. West of this store is the item and equipment store. Buy new equipment for Ashley and, if you have money left over, buy it for Brad and Lilka too, or leave it for later, it’s up to you. Also buy some Antidotes and Medicines (about 5 of each) and at least one Teleport Gem. North of the PS store is the hotel, there is nothing to do there. Go to the house northwest of the hotel, examine the barrel to find a HEAL BERRY. Head to the house east of the castle entrance. Examine one of the barrels to find a GIMMEL COIN. In the house just south of this one, examine the barrels to find a 10-GAL HAT, equip it on Ashley. In the house further down, in one of the barrels there is another HEAL BERRY. Exit and enter the castle.

Go up the first flight of stairs and enter the door to the right of the second. Turn right as soon as you can and you will come to a truck garage. Get a FULL REVIVE from the chest. Go back and head north. In the next area, go down the stairs and enter the door at the end. Examine the barrels to find a BIG BERRY. Okay, we’re done with the item hunt, now let’s go after the cat. Return to the bakery and go upstairs. Climb the ladder on the left to reach the roof. Upon seeing Ashley, the cat will run away. Go after him until he is out of reach. Go back a little and talk to the man repairing the roof. Choose the first option to accept his help. Fall down and climb back up through the bakery. Chase the cat until it falls through the opening in the hotel roof. Fall down too and grab it.

Ashley gives the cat to the boys and, as a reward, Tony gives her a CREST CAP. With this item you can obtain spells in the store, but you can only use it once, then you will have to “recharge” it. Tim will give you a gift, the Medium “GRUDIEV”. Mediums are special amulets that, when equipped, in addition to increasing some parameters, give certain abilities in battles called “Custom Commands”. But they also have another very interesting use, but this will be explained later. Marina then arrives with a letter for Ashley. In it she says that he is no longer under house arrest and has even been assigned to a new squad that has just been formed, which makes him very happy. But Marina is not happy at all and leaves crying. The next day, Ashley is off to Sword Cathedral, where she will receive a “Knighthood.” Marina then arrives, apologizes, says she is happy for Ashley and asks him to come back soon. On the world map, head west until you see a beach and head north to the mountains. Use sonar to find Sword Cathedral.

SWORD CATHEDRAL

The ceremony takes place normally and the name of the new squadron is announced: ARMS (Agile Remote Mission Squad). A sword embedded in a stone is then brought into the hall. This is the Guardian Sword “Argetlahm”, which in times past was used to banish an evil being. As part of the ceremony, all members of the new squad must try to pull the sword from the stone. None of them succeed until it’s Ashley’s turn. He takes a deep breath and then…

“Long ago there was a Flame of Disaster that enveloped Filgaia. Flames coming from the earth burned the skies and flaming hurricanes threatened the future of the planet. Humanity clung to one last hope of survival in this life and death crisis: The Sword Mage, daughter of an unnamed nobleman, answered the call of the guardian sword “Argetlahm”. Unable to fight, the people placed all their hopes in the Sword Mage and believed in the future. On the night of the seventh day after obtaining the sword, enveloped in a torrent of light, the magician disappeared from Filgaia along with the Flame of Disaster, leaving Argetlahm behind, embedded deep in the earth. Time passed and the guardian sword began to be treated as a symbol of power. The battle of the Sword Mage remained in the people’s memory as a legend. But these people had no idea that this legend would have so much importance in the present… and in the future.”


EPISODE 5 – INCIDENT AT THE SWORD CATHEDRAL [DTEP5]

Well, Ashley couldn’t get the sword out either, but he thinks it was better that way. After all, the fact that someone manages to remove it means that something bad could happen and no one wants a war. When you regain control, talk to the commander near the table just to the left. After the conversation, something strange happens: a dark energy takes over the room and all the soldiers (including Ashley) transform into monsters. A voice in Ashley’s head tells him he must kill everyone. You don’t have to face everyone, just the ones that block your path, but it’s an easy experience and has no effect on the story. Anyway, the door to the north is locked, so head south. In one of the rooms to the west, there is a Save Point, and to the east, some monsters. Continue south until you reach Argetlahm. Examine it and Ashley will remove it. A woman then appears to him and asks him what he wants. He says he just wants to go home because he made a promise. The woman then says that she would prefer no one else to suffer like her, but since it is necessary, she says that if Ashley wants to keep that promise, she must take up the sword. The woman disappears and Ashley returns to normal.

A guy with a cane approaches. His name is Irving Vold Valeria and he says that finding Ashley was a work of fate. Before asking anything, Ashley faints. Outside the cathedral, two men are talking; It seems like they are responsible for what happened. After a few scenes, Ashley wakes up in her room. Marina tells him that what happened at the cathedral was a terrorist attack and that Irving brought him here. Exit the house and you will see Lilka looking out the window. After some conversation, she joins the group. If you haven’t purchased new equipment yet, do so now. If you killed all the monsters in Sword Cathedral, you should be around level 6. I recommend investing in the “Up HP” PS for Ashley and Lilka. If you want, go to the magic shop and use the Crest Cap to purchase a spell, but as I said before, you can only use it once. When you’re ready, leave town, climb the mountain just to the south, and use the sonar to find a new location.

VALERIA CHATEAU

Upon entering, the pair are taken to a waiting room. After some time, Irving arrives and says that what happened in the cathedral was not a simple act of terrorism, but a ritual of summoning demons. Since Ashley was the only survivor, some think the ARMS squad was over before it even started. But Irving has taken command and intends to continue the squad, with Ashley and Lilka as his first recruits. The ARMS will not belong to any nation, being an autonomous combat force. You will then meet Altaecia, Irving’s sister. She says nothing and then leaves. After some conversation, Irving says that he will make final preparations for our first mission, so let’s explore the place. Leaving this room, enter the elevator ahead and go to the second floor. In the southwest room is Altaecia, talk to her if you want. In the southeast room is the infirmary. Talk to the nurses to recover HP and remove negative statuses. In the room just north of this, there is a chest containing the Medium “SCHTURDARK”. Equip it on Lilka.

In the central hallway, most of the rooms are locked except for the northwesternmost one. Enter it and take the Medium “MOOR GAULT” from the chest. Equip it on Ashley. Return to the third floor and go to the room on the right to find Irving. Talk to him and choose the second option to tell him you’re ready. Irving says our first mission will be to find the third member of the squad. He then asks for Ashley’s gun and fires it. Guards quickly appear and Irving says that Ashley is a traitor and they should arrest him (WTF!). He orders Lilka to escort him to Illsveil prison.


EPISODE 6 – PRISON ESCAPE [DTEP6]

After a few cutscenes, you control Lilka. Go forward until you see a control panel, examine it and choose the first option to open the door ahead. Go inside and examine the lockers to find 2 HEAL BERRY and a CUTE RIBBON; equip the latter on Lilka. Watch out for the robot in the corner; If you get in front of him, he shoots causing damage. You can destroy it with the “Fire Rod”. Exit and go down the stairs, follow and destroy the robots on the way, ignore the panel and enter the next door. Go straight through the door in the middle and enter the one at the end. Follow the bridge, destroying the robots and climb the ladder. Go to the backmost control panel and choose the first option to open the door near the stairs. Follow it, destroy the robots and examine the panel; choose the first option to open the door just behind. Enter it, save and examine the lockers to get a HEAL BERRY and the JAIL CARD, as well as Ashley’s equipment.

Make your way all the way back to Ashley’s cell and use the Jail Card to open it. Ashley joins the group. Go down and go to the hallway with a door in the middle of the way that I told you to ignore. Now, follow it and go to the next area. You should see a guard at the bottom; Switch to Ashley (press START and select him), line up with the guard and throw a knife so that it hits the wall and hits his head, knocking him out. Continue forward, destroying the robots along the way. You should see a rusty door on the way; let it be for now. Continue forward until you reach another cell block. Destroy the claw first; she only uses physical attacks. The main body has a painful bite that takes away up to 70 HP. Use Heal with Lilka whenever necessary. VALERIA CHATEAU

Irving says that now that the squad is complete, we can begin the real mission, which is to combat a series of disasters that have been plaguing the world. Brad asks why he chose a prisoner for the squad. Irving simply responds that it was because of his abilities and that if he tries to run away or do anything stupid, there’s an explosive collar around his neck. I think you already understand, right? Well, our mission will be to clear the passage in a cave that is an important trade route and where there was a collapse. Irving hands Ashley a COMMUNICATOR that you can use with the “Call” command on the main menu.

Leave the Chateau (if you haven’t seen it yet, there’s a guy selling items near the entrance) and stop by Meria to upgrade your ARMS. With the Crest she acquired in Illsveil, she creates the spell “Break” (Earth + Earth). In the PS store, if possible, acquire and maximize “HP Up” with everyone, and, if possible, acquire a “Critical” level for Ashley and Brad. If you haven’t already, buy Brad new equipment. When you’re done, save with the woman near the fountain and exit Meria. Search the mountains west of Whitered Ruins.

UNDER TRAFFIC

DANZEM CITY

Head north to the clinic, enter the room to the east and talk to the doctor. He will treat the man, who only has a broken finger. He says that at the time of the collapse he heard the sound of gunpowder exploding and, a little before, he heard some voices; in other words, the collapse was not an accident. Lilka suggests talking to Irving; use the communicator and Irving says to look for information in the city. Leave the clinic and talk to the woman in the hat to the east. She says some strange things and Ashley doesn’t understand anything. Examine the barrel near the Arms shop to find a MYSTIC WORD; team in Lilka. In the barrel near the Saloon, there is a HEAL BERRY. Enter the Saloon and examine the barrel in the corner to find a MITTENS; team on Brad or Ashley. Talk to the people here to learn that some suspicious types have headed to a place called Telepath Tower. Talk to the bartender as Brad and order the most expensive drink. He will then tell you about a strange building northeast of here.

Examine the barrel near the weapons shop to find another HEAL BERRY. Buy new equipment; If you don’t have enough money, fight a little on the map until you can buy everything. In the magic shop, create the Vortex (Wind + Wind) spell. In the PS store, if you can, purchase two levels of “Poison” for each. Enter the house just north of the PS store and talk to everyone inside. Upon leaving, Ashley informs Irving of her findings. He then tells us to go to Telepath Tower. EPISODE 8 – ODESSA REVEALS HERSELF [DTEP8]

TELEPATH TOWER

Walk a little and you will see three luminous blue cubes and also some wooden boxes. You must throw the boxes at the cubes to open the door to the south. Follow it, go through the long corridor to the next area, where you will see a control panel, but there is nothing to do on it. To the north, there are two doors; the one on the left is locked, so follow the one on the right to the next area. Here, you will see a lever, but it is inaccessible. Continue forward until you reach the top of the room with the lever, jump to where it is and pull it to activate the bridge. Go to it, cross it and continue forward until you reach a room with a Save Point. Exit through the southeast door and pull the southwest lever; this will activate the elevator. Return to the previous room and enter the elevator to the south. Go to the third floor and get the “BOOTY CALL” Tool from the chest ahead for Ashley. This Tool uses sonar to locate hidden items, but it only works in cities and dungeons.

Return to the elevator and go to the fifth floor. Go out the door to the west and get a MINI CARROT, REVIVE FRUIT and a CREST from the three chests. Go back and go through the door to the right of the elevator. Continue forward until you reach a room with several levers, which lower or raise the walls. They are arranged more or less as in the diagram below:

Brad manages to interrupt the transmission, but soon after a monster appears and attacks us.

BOSS:

Mysterious Phantom Being: VAGESTA

It can cause some negative statuses like Poison and Disease. Heal yourself with items whenever necessary. Other than that, he’s not much of a threat. Use the Lucky Card at the beginning and destroy first the two claws and then the main body using Shot Weapon and Bazooka. He doesn’t have any elemental weaknesses, so any magic from Lilka helps. When you defeat him, you should earn 2 LUCKY CARDS.

You will automatically exit the tower. Return to Damzem and go to the house north of the PS store and talk to everyone inside. Go out and that woman in the hat approaches us. She says that she saw an aircraft flying east and that it must probably be from Odessa. Ashley asks how she knows this and why she is giving us this information and most of all: who the hell is she? The woman introduces herself as Marivel and says Ashley should remember her, but he has no idea who she is. She says it doesn’t really matter and just disappears. Irving calls and says the group must pursue and stop Odessa at any cost.

In the magic shop, create the spell “Aqua” (Water + Water). Also upgrade your Arms and recharge them. In the PS store, if possible, purchase an “Up M Attack” level for Lilka. If it doesn’t work, leave it for the next city. Don’t get anything for the boys just yet. When you’re ready, leave the city and head east until you can’t go any further, then northeast to climb onto a plateau. Follow it until the end and use the sonar to find a cave.


EPISODE 9 – HUNT FOR TERRORISTS [DTEP9]

Mt. CHUG CHUG

Right at the beginning, you’ll see a strange floating pyramid. Leave it there for now, as the door to the south is locked and we won’t be able to open it until much later. Then, go through the door to the north.

Head into the next area and enter the door on the right. Continue until you find a chest containing a HEADGEAR. Equip it on Brad. There is an elevator here, but it is stopped. Go through the door to the east. At the end, you will see a cart on the edge of a hole. Kick it with Brad and go through the next door. Get the CREST from the chest.

Go back to the previous room and fall into the hole. Kick the cart to get to the other side and examine the shiny object on the panel to acquire an EMPATHITE. Ashley thinks it will be a good gift for Marina. She pulls the lever to activate the elevators. Take the elevator next door and go to the large room where you got the HEADGEAR.

Take the elevator up and go forward to a hole. Fall down and go up the other elevator. Save the game and continue forward. You will meet Ptolomea, one of the Odessa members.

BOSS:

Cocytus Squad Special Member: PTOLOMEA

Don’t use Lucky Card in this battle, it would be a waste. Ptolomea’s main attack, Dynamite, hits everyone and can deal up to 200 HP of damage. Use Mystic + Heal Berry with Lilka to resolve. Other than that, use the same strategy as the previous boss and you shouldn’t have many problems.

The terrorists escape in their ship. Back at the Valeria Chateau, Ashley regrets that they couldn’t catch them, but Irving says that even if they had a ship, they couldn’t enter other kingdoms’ airspace without permission. He says he will think of something. In the meantime, we have some time off. Ashley says she wants to go to Meria, so head there. Upon arrival, Ashley will have to put up with Tony and the boys for a while. After that, he goes to see Marina and gives her the EMPATHITE, making her very happy. EPISODE 10 – THE BEST WAY TO TRAVEL [DTEP10]

Back at the Chateau, Irving says we need to get permission from all the kingdoms to operate in their territories. He gives us letters to deliver to the rulers of each kingdom. Our first stop will be in the kingdom of Sylvaland, but to get there, we will need to use a transporter device called “Live Reflector”. Irving says there’s one southwest of here, but it might be damaged. He says we must find a way to use it.

Leave the Chateau and pass through Meria. In the magic shop, he creates the spell “Spark” (Fire + Wind) for Lilka. At the PS store, he purchases a Counter level and a Confusion level for Ashley. If possible, purchase an “Up P Attack” level for Brad. If not, leave it for later. If you have money left over, upgrade your Arms, save your game and head to the forest southwest of the Chateau. Use the sonar right in the middle to find the Live Reflector.

LIVE REFLECTOR

Go through the side door and the group finds Tony, Scott and Tim. They were exploring the place. Ashley doesn’t want to send them back alone and decides to take them with her until the mission is over. Head into the next room and examine the control panel. Ashley will try to activate the transporter, but a monster attacks.

BOSS:

Thunderbolt Battle Monster: ELEBART

First of all, use a Lucky Card. Destroy the two claws first and then attack the main body. He basically only uses individual physical attacks. Its strongest attack, Elebart Dash, does not deal more than 200 HP. Heal with Heal if necessary. Use Shot Weapon with Ashley, Lock On + Bazooka with Brad and Break with Lilka to cause huge damage. When you defeat him, you should earn 2 STR APPLE.

It appears that the monster has absorbed all of the Live Reflector’s energy and it is inoperative. Then, Tim’s amulet starts to glow and shoots a beam that re-energizes the device. Ashley asks how he did that and Tim says it was the power of the Medium Odoryuk that his mother gave him before she died. Tony says that Ashley doesn’t need to worry, because with Tim’s power, they will have no problem returning to Meria. When you regain control, examine the green symbol on the wall to activate the transporter (the yellow and red ones are currently not working). Climb onto the central platform to head to Sylvaland.

You will see a scene with the Odessa members. They find out about the ARMS squad and think that if the people witness the defeat of these “allies of justice” they will have no choice but to accept Odessa’s power. When you arrive at Sylvaland’s Live Reflector, go out and use the sonar right in the middle of the forest to find the castle.

SYLVALAND CASTLE

The group delivers the letter to the Queen of Sylvaland, but she does not believe in our noble intentions and refuses to let us act in her territory. A soldier then arrives and says that there is a terrorist attack in the city of Halmetz. Ashley promptly offers to resolve the situation. Due to the urgency, the Queen has no option but to accept. When you regain control, head south and enter through one of the side doors. Continue south and you will eventually exit the castle (save with the woman near the entrance first). On the world map, look east of the castle, near the beach, for a BULLET LOAD. Now, look south of the castle, near the mountains, for a DUPLICATOR. Remember the locked chests in Odd Headquarters? This is the key we need to open them, but they are consumable items, meaning they can only be used once and disappear. So don’t use them unless I tell you to, okay? Now look just southeast of the castle, near the beach, for the town of Halmetz. The city is deserted. The group goes to investigate and almost falls into a trap set by Judecca, another member of Odessa. He then sends a monster to attack us.

BOSS:

Poison Armored Dragonoid: TRASK

If you still have it, use a Lucky Card. Finish off Crystal quickly using Ashley and Brad’s best attacks and Freeze with Lilka. Once you destroy it, Trask is rendered harmless. He just keeps attacking until the battle ends.

The monster even launches an attack that leaves everyone unconscious. Then, a strange energy destroys the monster once and for all, which leaves Judecca intrigued.


EPISODE 11 – HIDDEN POWER AWAKENS [DTEP11]

GOLGOTHA PRISON

When you regain control, notice that the stone in the corner is loose. Kick it with Brad, then hold X to grab it and pull it with the D-pad to reveal a secret tunnel. Push the rock ahead and follow the bridge. Be careful in the parts with holes, as they are traps. Swipe quickly to avoid them. At the fork, go right and get a LUCKY CARD from the chest. Follow the other path until you see a lever. Go to the only place without holes and pull it to open the next door. Follow it. In this part, there are spears coming out of the wall. Careful. Get a HEAL BERRY from the chest and go forward to the next area.

Now, in addition to avoiding the spears, you must be careful not to fall. Good luck. In the next area, run like crazy to the other side, braking at the right time to avoid falling. Throw a knife at the device to open the door in the middle. Follow it and save.

In the next area, DO NOT TOUCH the blue sign. Head into the next area and you will see several blue plaques on the wall. Use Booty Call to find a CREST. Examine the second to last sign before the wall to proceed. Go down the stairs and kick the board three times to open the next door. Follow it and use the Fire Rod at the right time to light the torch to the south and open the next door. Move forward and you will find the inhabitants of Halmetz imprisoned. Examine the lever several times until the cell opens. Enter and the group tells them they are here to save them. Ashley asks Brad and Lilka to stay here while he goes to make sure the coast is clear.

Go through the next door and then go right. You will be in a small maze. Just follow where there are no holes in the ground and you will eventually reach the exit on the other side. Ignore the door ahead and head south, being careful of the guillotines that fall from the ceiling. In the next area, Ashley will encounter Judecca, but he has captured Brad and Lilka. Judecca then sends another of his pets to take care of Ashley and says that if he resists, he will kill his friends and the villagers. Ashley is at a dead end and then a voice echoes in his mind telling him he needs the power to fight back. Then a light surrounds him. Judecca orders the hostages to be executed, but Marivel arrives and rescues everyone. Now, Ashley can attack.

Poison Armored Dragonoid: TRASK

Ashley has transformed into a kind of black knight and now has new abilities. Use Hot Fencer on the crystal and try to destroy it before it uses an attack that paralyzes you. If FP reaches 50, use Banisher to deal over 2000 damage and practically end the battle.

Now Ashley can use the Level 4 “Access” Force. Back at Sylvaland Castle, the Queen thanks her and gives Ashley a letter for the King of Meria Boule, giving her permission to use Sylvaland’s Live Reflector. Irving then arrives and says that he has some matters to discuss with the Queen. Okay, let’s explore the castle. Enter the room just to the south to reach the library. Rotate the camera and you will notice that one of the books is sticking out. Examine it to reveal a secret elevator. Use it and get a HAZEL SPRIG, SILVER HARP, CLEAR CHIME and BLUE ANKLET from the chests. Exit the library and head southeast. Enter the room to the east and you will see a sleeping guard and a chest just behind. Go back two screens and take the southwest exit. Enter the room to the west and examine the rope to ring the bell. Go back to the room where the sleeper was and get a RED CAP from the chest. Team at Ashley. Rotate the camera and notice that there is a lighter part on the wall. Examine it to reveal a secret passage. Go in and get 1 SCAPEGOAT and 2 CRESTS from the chests. Head to the castle entrance and the party will receive thanks from the people of Halmetz.


EPISODE 12 – IN SEARCH OF LEGENDARY MINERALS [DTEP12]

VALERIA CHATEAU

Another scene with Odessa: Vinsfeld learns what happened in Golgotha ​​Prison and begins to worry about the influence that ARMS is acquiring. Back at Valeria Chateau, Ashley remembers a difficult conversation with Marina, where she reveals her dissatisfaction with his job, which leaves him absent for long periods. Ashley says that she is proud of what she does and that she feels good being a “hero”, but she responds that people who have already given up fighting cling to heroes and that they are nothing more than sacrifices.

After that, Irving informs you about our next mission. Marivel is also here and, according to Irving, she is an authority on ancient technology (such as Live Reflectors). She reveals that, in the incident at Sword Cathedral, Ashley was possessed by a demon that combined with the sword Argetlahm and now has the power to transform into the “Knight Blazer”. She says that for now, they don’t need to worry about the demon, as Ashley seems to have control over him.

Ashley asks Marivel if she knows him, but she disagrees. Irving recommends that Ashley not tell anyone about the demon, and he agrees. As for the mission, Marivel says that we need to find a way to face Odessa’s aircraft and, for that, we will need two minerals called “Aguelite” and “Germatron”. With them, we will be able to have our own aircraft. The Aguelite can be found in a mine near the city of Holst and the Germatron in a location called Raline Observatory, both in the kingdom of Sylvaland. Head to the Live Reflector and go to the room to the north. Our next stop is Ruins Mine (red symbol), but we’ll stop by Halmetz.

Enter the house just west of the church and examine the barrel to find a MEMO PEN. Exit and enter the next house to the west and examine the barrel to find a LUCKY CARD. Buy new weapons for the group. In the magic shop, create the spells “Shield” (fire + earth), “Mage Weapon” (wind + fire) and “Revive” (water + earth). In the PS store, if you haven’t already, purchase an “Up P Attack” level for Brad (or two, if possible), do the same for Ashley and, for Lilka, another “Up M Attack” level. In the northeast corner of the city, you’ll see another one of those floating pyramids (in fact, you may have noticed another one in Golgotha ​​Prison). Later, you will know what they are. Head south and then east. Search near the black stone for a STR APPLE. Now, go back to the top and head west to another black rock. Use sonar to find Holst. AGUEL MINE SHAFT

In this area, there is an enemy called Galeion, who looks like a black cockroach. He is very fast and usually runs away from battles. Use Freeze to kill him instantly and gain 2500 experience, which at this point in the game is a lot. Continue forward until you come across some rocks blocking the path. Use your newly acquired Tool to blow them up and continue forward until you reach a fork. Follow the left path to a chest containing a CREST. Break the boxes to get 2 HEAL BERRY. Go back and take the path on the right.

In the next area, save and continue forward. You will see a gate blocking the path to the north. Rotate the camera and you will see a lever surrounded by some boxes. Get them out of the way and pull it, but don’t go north yet. Go east, blasting the rocks along the way until you reach a silver chest. Kick it to get the “AM CLUSTER” Arm for Brad. In one of the wooden boxes there is a HEAL BERRY. There is also another floating pyramid here. Remember this place.

Go back to the gate and now head north. Soon, you will come to a rock drill of sorts. Put a bomb on the back of it to make it smash the rock in front. In the next room, place several bombs in front of the brown stone to get it out of the way. Continue and in the next room there are four golden squares. Place a bomb on each one to make them go up and open the next door, but be quick or they’ll soon go down. In the next room, you will find a chest containing AGUELITE, the first part of the mission completed.

Back in Holst, go to the magic shop and create the “Quick” spell (water + wind). If you have gained 3 or 4 levels in the mine, purchase another level of “Up M Attack” for Lilka from the PS store, mastering this skill. Also get a level of “Up P Attack” for Brad (if you haven’t done so before) and also a second level of “Counter” for Ashley. If you have money left over, upgrade the AM Cluster. Return to the Live Reflector, activate the yellow symbol and enter the portal. On the other side, exit and follow the peninsula southeast to the end. Use the sonar to find a LUCKY CARD. Now, head north to the second mountain. To the east of it, there is another peninsula. Search the southern part of it for a SCAPEGOAT. Now, use the sonar a little northeast of the second mountain to find the Raline Observatory.


EPISODE 13 – THE INVASION OF THE IDIOT LIZARDS [DTEP13]

Walk a little and the group will hear someone screaming for help. In the next area, you will see a monster beating up two humanoid lizards. Despite finding them quite suspicious, the group decides to help them.

Use a Lucky Card. Finish the belly first and then the main body. With Ashley and Brad, use the usual: Shot Weapon and Bazooka. Lilka uses Quick on everyone and heals if necessary. When you defeat him, you should earn a GIMMEL COIN.

The two lizards introduce themselves. The green guy’s name is Liz and he calls himself a great scientist. The big yellow one is her assistant Ard, who has a somewhat limited vocabulary (Ard, Ard…). Liz says they are here to do an experiment and ask to accompany us. The group doesn’t really like the idea, but ends up accepting it. Go through the door to the north. The group comes across an inaccessible lever, but Liz and Ard solve the problem. Pull the lever on the other side and continue forward until you reach a trap where the walls close in. Press the button on the left to open them, get close and the group runs past, but Ard is trapped.

After the cutscene, move the rightmost statue and place it in the middle of the walls. After the scene, go through the door on the left to a chest containing a BARRETTE. Team in Lilka. Go back and head north to another lever out of reach. Once again, Liz and Ard solve the problem. Go ahead and save the game.

In the next room, get a TELEPORT GEM from the chest. At the bottom, there is a stone block. Move it to one of the side spaces to form a bridge. Proceed and, in the next room, head north, down the stairs. In the next room, move the blocks to form a bridge so you can continue. Pull the lever and Liz will rejoin the group. Go back and at the fork go south. Examine the face on the wall and Ard will use his tail to clear the path, but he will get stuck. Kick the wall on the other side to free it and move forward.

She then calls Ashley to an observatory and tells her about her sister, who was a brilliant wizard, but during an experiment there was an accident and she disappeared. Enter the first house to the west, kick the silver chest to get the “LAWNMOWER” Arm for Brad. He goes out and talks to the dog near the house to the northeast. If you don’t remember, his name is Rassyu. Brad will then meet Merrill again, who is now a beautiful young woman. Brad then tells everyone that some time ago there was a kingdom called Slayheim that had a powerful army and began a campaign to expand its domains. Many guerrilla groups formed to oppose them, but they were very disorganized and could do little or nothing, until a man appeared who united them to form the Slayheim Liberation Army. That man was none other than Vinsfeld Radhamantus, the leader of Odessa.

Everyone is shocked by the revelation, but there is more. Vinsfeld was a very charismatic leader and, little by little, he gained more followers and, even with smaller numbers, managed to defeat Slayheim’s army. But during the final attack, Vinsfeld simply disappeared, and when the fighting was over, the guerrillas were labeled war criminals and relentlessly persecuted. It was clear that everything was nothing more than a plan by Vinsfeld to justify his future actions. Merrill says that no matter what anyone says, no one in the village thinks Brad is a bad man. Brad apologizes for not telling them sooner, but he didn’t want to involve them in his personal vendetta. Anyway, Ashley asks if the record thieves had passed through here and, if they did, they could only have followed by sea. Brad says that they could only have gone to the desert region where Slayheim was located and that they are probably using the power plants there. There’s a little town called Quartly in that region, maybe there’s a clue there.

This should give you about 3 Crests, plus one you already have. Now, create the following spells: Restore, Saber, Hi-Flame and Hi-Freeze. When you’re done, exit and teleport to the Hovercraft.


EPISODE 22 – THE MYSTERIOUS MERCENARY [DTEP22]

Go to the southwest part and follow the river until the fork near the forest. Head west until you reach a beach. Disembark and search the southwest peninsula for a RES APPLE. Search the northern part of the desert for a LUCKY CARD. From the beach, head northwest and use the sonar until you find a BULLET LOAD. Now, look northeast until you find a huge bridge over the canyon. This is Quartly, but don’t go in yet. Walk a few steps east and then head south and use the sonar until you find a DUPLICATOR. Now, enter the city.

QUARTLY

Enter the first house on the right and buy new equipment. Exit and head north until a woman approaches the group. Her name is Kanon, and she asks for our help to exorcise a demon in Slayheim Castle. Without saying anything else, she leaves, and the group decides to spend the night there. During the night, Ashley takes a walk and sees Brad talking to a strange guy (suspicious, very suspicious). The next day, leave town and look in the southwest corner for a VIT APPLE. Now, look east of Quartly, on the edge of the canyon, for an AMBROSIA. Then, head north to a beach and search the eastern part of that beach to find the castle.

SLAYHEIM CASTLE

There are three doors to the north, the middle one is locked. Follow the one on the left and go to the room to the north. Rotate the camera until you see a purple book at the top of the shelf. Kick this spot to make it fall and get the ADULT MAG. Examine the shelf to the north and use the book on it to open a secret passage. Go in and get the great SECRET SIGN accessory from the chest. Equip it immediately on Lilka or Tim. Go back and follow the path southwest and then north until you reach a room with a kind of pendulum. Position yourself north of him and kick him to be launched to the other side. Take the ELVEN BOOTS from the chest and go through the door to the north. Go down the stairs and press the blue button at the end to open the door, but don’t go through it yet. Go back to the first room and go through the door on the right.

Go to the room to the north, examine the board and choose the first option to open the door on the left. Go inside and, after Brad’s flashback, get a DUPLICATOR from the chest. Go back and follow the path southeast and then north. Use a bomb on the lighter floor to unlock the path. In the next room, go down the stairs and press the blue button to unlock the door. Head east to the next area. Head southwest and enter the rightmost door. Go to an intersection and then fall north. Go to another intersection and this time fall east. Enter the door to the north and now just go forward until you reach a huge control panel. Brad says he’ll operate on him from here and the others should proceed without him. Well, go through the door to the north and fall to the bottom. Use the Fire Rod to destroy the robot to the north and head through the door behind it. In this area, you will see a man operating a radio inside a room. Pull up to the door and use “Call” to listen to the conversation. He says he left a codebook in a closet somewhere. Go back and go up the stairs (notice there is a door underneath it, but it is locked). Go forward until you see another room with a man on the radio. It doesn’t say what the new password is, but from the codebook we can conclude that it is ISK. Go back to the door under the stairs and enter this password to unlock it. Enter and save. The door to the north is locked and only opens with a specific voice command. Follow the path east. Listen to the conversation behind the first door. Continue forward and listen to the conversation behind the door at the end. Go back to the previous door and listen to the conversation again. Go back to the door at the end and it will be open. Search the lockers for a RECORDER. Return to the save point room and head west. Go through the door just past the stairs and listen to the conversation behind the next door. You will hear a soldier talking to Antenora. Use the Recorder to record her voice and then go back to the locked door and use the Recorder to open it. The group will reach the plant’s reactor, but Antenora appears to stop us from destroying it.

Brad uses the bomb to destroy the rest of the copies, but ends up separated from the others. Antenora runs away and Ashley says that the mission has failed and that we should retreat, but Brad says that there is still a way to finish the mission. He intends to wear the explosive collar around his neck. Ashley doesn’t accept this, but Brad is determined and Ashley says she believes he will return and leads the group out of the plant. Brad says he now knows how Billy felt and is ready to fulfill his destiny as a true hero. A huge explosion obliterates the plant and, in disbelief that anyone could survive it, the ARMS squad mourns the death of their comrade.


EPISODE 24 – A TRAIN TO THE BEYOND [DTEP24]

Back to Valeria Chateau

Irving says that the bomb that exploded at the plant was definitely the one around Brad’s neck and that hardly anyone could survive the explosion. But there’s no time to cry and he gives us our next mission: protecting Guild Master Galad’s son during a train ride there. He goes to the bridge and talks to Erwin to leave. Practically the same battle as Slayheim Castle, so use the same strategy: First Aid with Tim every turn, Lilka uses Quick on everyone and helps Tim heal if necessary, Ashley sends her best Arms. If you get a chance, don’t hesitate to use Combine too.

Kanon runs away once again, but says she won’t give up on killing the demon inside Ashley. Now we have 5 minutes to get to the train. Leave this room and press the buttons until you find the portal out of this area. When you do, head to the next area to reach the red portal. Now head north and then go back south to reach the train. EPISODE 25 – NUCLEAR THREAT [DTEP25]

GUILD GALAD

Upon arrival, the group will be greeted by the Master, who is pissed that we lost one of the train carriages. Noel asks for explanations and he ends up confessing that he was secretly transporting a nuclear bomb and now that weapon is in the hands of Odessa. Now they can intimidate any nation into doing whatever they want under threat of being vaporized. Noel then undertakes to help us with whatever we need and, to begin with, he will give us an improved hovercraft. Now, wherever we teleport, he will be waiting on the nearest beach. Not cool? Well, when you regain control, exit to the south and go through one of the side doors. Go forward until a red door. It can be opened with a Duplicator. Behind her are four chests containing a CREST each. Now, go back to the throne room door and examine the southern wall to discover a button. ABANDONED ICEBOX (OPTIONAL)

Go straight until you see a ramp on the left. Climb up it and, in the next area, use Pooka to open the chest containing a SER APPLE. A little further on, there is another chest containing a STR APPLE. Go back and go left, keep going forward until you reach a room with colored buttons on the floor. But before messing with them, go up the ramp to the south and go through the door at the end. Use Pooka to get 2 LUCKY CARDS from the chests. SHINING GARDEN (OPTIONAL)

Touch the sphere to the north to be transported to a room with three doors to the north and one locked door to the south. Examine the sign and then go through the east door, then the west door, and then go back through the door you came from. Climb the ladder and look at the wall to the east. If you pay close attention, you will see that the orange parts form the word RAY. Well, go through the next door and examine the pedestal. When asked, write RAY and the door will open. Get out, take the hovercraft and go to the northern part of the island, following the coast until you find another beach. Search the center of the green part to find a building.

DARK REASON (OPTIONAL)

Go to the next room. It’s a very dark place with just a little light around it. The bridges between the platforms fall when you step on them, and if you fall together, the circle of light will shrink, making it even more difficult to walk here. Pass quickly. There are three doors at the end, but only one leads to the next room. Head to the southwest door. In the next room, southwest door again. In the third room, there are five doors at the end. Use the second one from the east. Now, just head through the door at the end to find the Medium “LEITEA SALK”. Leave this place and look for the mine in the northeast corner of the island.

CLOSED MINE SHAFT

Here there is another floating pyramid. Go straight on. There are some bats that attack you and cause damage. Run through to the next room and activate the detonator to get the stone out of the way. Continue forward, removing obstacles until you reach a room with water pipes. There are leaks that fall precisely into the powder in the detonator. Shortly afterwards, Judecca attacks the city and Kanon decides to face him alone.

EPISODE 27 – THE HERO’S RETURN [DTEP27]

Back at the Valeria Chateau, Irving welcomes the new ARMS member and gives us our next mission. He says that, south of Quartly, there is a place that is transmitting energy somewhere and tells us to investigate. Leave the Chateau and stop by Island Outpost to create the Hi-Heal spell. Now, teleport to Quartly. Kanon has a powerful radar that locates undiscovered items and locations on the world map. The green dots are locations and the yellow dots are items. Your special attacks come from your bionic implants, and the more you use them in battle, the greater the chances of new attacks being learned. In the next room, go through the door to the north and then use the grappling hook to reach the door west of it. Take a DUMBRELLA, weapon for Lilka, from the chest. Go back and head a little further west. Use Pooka to get 2 BIG BERRY from the chest. Go back through the easternmost door and go through the western door. Enter the door in the middle of the path and get a CREST WAND from the chest, a weapon for Tim. Go back and continue forward to the next area. Go through the door to the north and examine the control panel. It appears that there are four of these Diablo Pillars and that they provide power to some generator. The door to the east opens. You must lift them all to form a bridge to the next crystal, being careful not to get stuck and have to start over. Below is one of the possible routes. Start from 1 to 9 and then from A to G:

When you succeed, continue forward until you reach a room where you will have to play a memory game. The sequences change as you try and make mistakes, so keep trying until you succeed. Continue forward until you reach the halfway boss.

BOSS: Humanoid Mirage: PRISNUM

Use a Lucky Card and destroy the chest first. Its attacks aren’t that great and take a maximum of around 600 HP from the group. Fill Tim’s FP up to 50 and use Combine + Leitea Salk to deal big damage. If he survives this, throw in a few normal attacks to finish the job. When you defeat him, you will earn an AZURE VEST, armor for Lilka.

Continue forward (save on the way) until you reach a room where you will have to shoot some buttons to activate the bridge to the crystal. If any button turns red, you will have to start over. When you do, move forward to get to where Antenora is. She says that Vinsfeld is watching and that he will die if that’s what it takes to realize his ideals.

BOSS: Special Cocytus Squad Member: ANTENORA

Its Ephemeron attack can deal up to 1500 damage to a character, in addition to negative statuses. Shockwave hits everyone and does about 900. Have Tim or Lilka heal whenever necessary and send your best attacks with the others. By defeating her, you will be able to earn a WAR RESPITE.

Contrary to what everyone thought, Antenora doesn’t love Vinsfeld. She actually wanted revenge on him, as he killed her parents during the Slayheim war just because they were linked to royalty. To get revenge, she made him love her, and now that she is about to die, he will feel the pain of losing her. We’ve destroyed the third Diablo Pillar, now there’s only one left. Tap the crystal to exit the tower.


EPISODE 31 – THE SADIC SCIENTIST [DTEP31]

Head to Quartly and talk to the people in town to learn about a ghost town in the Slayheim area. In the PS store, purchase another level of Up P Defend for Lilka and Tim and increase their resistance to negative statuses for the others. Reload your Arms and leave the city to the north. Search to the north, between the salt pillars.

LOST CITY ARCHEIM

The door to the north is locked. In the house to the southwest, go through the northernmost door. Break the boxes to find a CONDUCTOR. Go out and look east of this house for a darker wall. Use a bomb and go inside. You will find the Medium “GE RAMTOS”. Go back and in the house to the northeast, in the southernmost room, get a MINI CARROT from one of the boxes. In the northernmost room, there is a red door. If so, use a Duplicator to open it. Take 2 BIG BERRY and a SILVER CIRCLET, helmet for Kanon from the boxes. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to open the chests now. Go back and climb to the highest part of the room. Notice that there is a darker part on the wall. Use a bomb there to open a passage. Exit and use the grappling hook to go to the house west of this one and then to the house to the south. Fall into the hole, examine the mechanism inside and use the CONDUCTOR, but don’t go down the elevator yet. Pull the lever to open the door and head to the house north of it. Going through the door on the right there is a Save Point. Go to the left and use Pooka to get another CONDUCTOR from the chest. Go back and use it on the elevator. Go down and pull the two levers to raise the wooden gate. Go back to the south house and now go down the elevator. Behind the wooden gate, something is waiting for you.

BOSS:

Aggressive Poltergeist: JASOUL

If you have one, use a Lucky Card. Destroy the claws first. Have Tim use Arrow Shot or Combine + Stare Row to end this battle quickly. Lilka should stick to healing and using assist spells like Quick, while the others use their best attacks. Try to finish him off quickly, or he will use Life Force which drains all of the target’s HP and fills his own. When you defeat him, you should earn 2 SOR APPLE.

Go through the gate to reach a Live Reflector. Go through the northeast door to find a locked chest. If you have it, use a Duplicator to get a BEADS. Go back and go through the door to the north, examine the panel on the wall and enter the portal. On the other side, exit to the south and enter the door to the northeast. Another locked chest, inside it has a HOLY GRAIL, an accessory that protects against sudden death. Exit the Live Reflector and follow the long path to the end. Use the sonar to find the last Diablo Pillar.

DIABLO P. JUDECCA

Go forward until you reach a place with a moving platform. As you go, you must avoid obstacles. If you fall, you will have to start again. When you succeed, move forward until you reach a boss:

BOSS:

Red-Hot Lava Monster: MAGMALIZER

Destroy the head first. He is weak against water, ice and wind spells. Use Tim and Lilka’s spells to quickly finish him off. If he uses Mirror Coat, use normal attacks to fill FP and then use Combine + Schturdark, Fengalon or Aru Sulato. His other attacks are nothing that a First Aid can’t fix. When you defeat him, you will earn a Lamellar, armor for Kanon.

Continue forward until you reach another moving platform, but this one is much longer. When you can get to the other side, go forward to a corridor where spiked blocks rotate around the floor. Pass at the right time until you reach the crystal. Now, move forward until you find Judecca. He says that in previous battles he took it easy, but now he will fight for real.

BOSS:

Special Cocytus Squad Member: JUDECCA

Its most dangerous attack, Mirian, takes about 1400 from a character. A Big Berry will do the trick. Furthermore, use First Aid with Tim every turn and send attacks from Ashley, Brad and Kanon. Judecca doesn’t last long. When you defeat him, you should earn a WAR RESPITE.

Judecca says the fight was nothing more than a joke for him and he is disappointed that he cannot see the end of the world. He then blows the brains out. The last Diablo Pillar is gone. Touch the crystal to leave this place. Irving gets in touch and says that Heimdall Gazzo is exposed and it’s time to make the final attack. Teleport to Valéria Chateau and fly to Sielje Region. From there, head south until you find the ship in the middle of the ocean.


EPISODE 32 – ASSAULT ON THE HEIMDALL GAZZO [DTEP32]

Upon entering, Ashley says that it’s time for the final battle, but asks that everyone returns from this battle safe and sound. Go north until you reach a room with three doors. The red ones are locked, so take the blue one on the right. Examine the control panel to unlock the red doors. Go back and go through the left door and then the next one. Go through the maze and go to the southeast corner, where there is a conveyor. Use it and exit through the door to the south. Examine the control panel to unlock the green doors. Go all the way back to the three doors and go through the middle one to a room with several conveyors. Step on the one in the north, then the one in the southeast, fall into the narrowest part to the south and step on the northernmost conveyor and then the one in the northwest. Examine the panel to unlock the blue doors. Drop to the right, step on the conveyor on the right, then the one in the southeast, then the next one on the left. Enter through the blue door, save and go through the red door. Examine the panel to unlock the green door. Follow it to find Vinsfeld. He says he is tired of us interfering in his plans and that we will pay dearly for Antenora’s death and, when we are defeated, a new era will begin.

BOSS:

Leader of Odessa: VINSFELD

If you have one, use a Lucky Card. Compared to the other members of Odessa, Vinsfeld’s attacks are a joke, nothing that a First Aid can’t fix. Throw in your best attacks and soon this braggart will fall to his knees.

Vinsfeld says this isn’t over yet and there’s someone much bigger behind it all. He also says that he may have been defeated, but that we will fall together with Heimdall Gazzo. Ashley says a ship that size must have escape pods. Exit through the green door to the northeast. Now each of the group members will go their separate ways in search of these modules. You start with Brad, but the door ahead is locked. Switch to Lilka. Go through the red door and push the block to the blue button on the floor. Go through the blue door, examine the panel and unlock the red door. Switch to Brad, go through the red door and switch to Tim. Go forward until you reach a room with two side doors. Follow the green to the south, step on the button and use Air Ballet to move the block to the button. Go back and switch to Kanon.

Go through the red door, step on the button and switch to Brad. Step on the button and switch to Kanon. Go through the red door, step on the button and run to the green door. Follow the red one, step on the button and switch to Lilka. Follow the red door and go to the end. Switch to Tim, go through the green door, step on the button and use Air Ballet to remove the button block. Switch to Lilka, go through the green door and step on the button. Switch to Tim, go back through the green door and use Pooka to access the control panel. Choose the first option and go through the blue door to the north and then through the next one. Switch to Brad, move the block to the button and go through the blue door. Step on the button and go to the next blue door. Move the block to the button and step on the other button. Switch to Kanon, go through the red door and then the blue one. Pull the block north twice, fall down, step on the button, climb onto the bridge and push the block until it falls. Follow it to the end and switch to Brad. Move the block to the middle of the bridge and step on the top button. Switch to Tim. Shoot the block with Air Ballet to the bottom button. Switch to Brad, step on the button ahead and switch to Tim.

Go through the red door, examine the control panel and choose the first option. Follow the green door and Tim will reach the escape module. Now with Brad, go through the green door to reach the escape module. With Lilka, go through the green door and then the blue one to reach her module. Finally with Kanon, go through the green door to reach her module. She will notice that Heimdall Gazzo is not falling but rising towards space. Now only Ashley is left, but Vinsfeld gets in his way and asks why Ashley insists on living. He responds that he has a place to return to and people who care about him. Therefore, he cannot die now, as he wants to restore peace. Vinsfeld finds this ridiculous and goes on the attack.

BOSS:

Leader of Odessa: VINSFELD

He is even weaker than before. Chances are you won’t even need to heal. Use normal attacks until FP reaches 100, then use Access. Continue attacking normally until FP reaches 50 and then send in a Banisher to put an end to Vinsfeld’s twisted ideals once and for all.

Vinsfeld still launches his last trick, the Grausswein nuclear weapon. He says there is no way to predict where and when it will fall. It could be in a month or tomorrow. Until then, the people of Filgaia will live their last days in total fear. Ashley no longer has time to leave the ship and asks everyone’s forgiveness for not being able to keep her promise to return alive. Heidmal Gazzo explodes. After a few scenes, you will see the wreckage of the ship floating in space and among them, Ashley enveloped in a sphere of light. Save your game and insert disc 2.


EPISODE 33 – THE RESCUE [DTEP33]

Ashley wakes up in a strange place and a woman comes to talk to him. Her name is Anastasia and she is none other than the legendary “Mage of the Sword”, who banished the “Flame of Disaster” in ancient times. Anastasia then takes Ashley to some ruins and says that somewhere there must be a way to get back to Filgaia.

MEMORY MAZE

You will then meet Lucied, the keeper of desire. He and Anastasia will accompany Ashley to this place. When you regain control, move forward until you see a blue cylinder. Throw a knife and another girl will appear. Anastasia says she fought alongside her, ages ago. Continue forward. When you come across an invisible barrier, just go around the sides. Soon you will see a blue crystal. Touch it and Anastasia tells about the battle against “Lord Blazer”, the Flame of Disaster, which is now inside Ashley and which gives her her powers. But, despite coming from an evil being, these powers will be essential to save Filgaia. A little ahead, throw a knife at the cylinder to proceed. In the next room, talk to that girl again and after the conversation, throw a knife at the cylinder to the west and go to the next room. Throw knives at the two cylinders and move on. Examine the blue crystal and Anastasia says that she doesn’t know exactly why she was able to wield the Argeltanh sword. Some say it was because she was part of the Valeria family, but she doesn’t believe that. Ashley is surprised to learn that Anastasia is an ancestor of Irving. You will then see a scene where Irving tries to remove the Argeltanh from the stone, but all he does is cripple himself.

Go left until the end and throw a knife at the cylinder on the right. Go back and go right into the next room. In the middle of it, rotate the camera to find a cylinder. Throw a knife at him and talk to the girl again. Go to the next room. Throw a knife at the cylinder and then at the other one that falls. Follow the left side until the next room. Examine the crystal and Anastasia says that even when Lord Blazer destroyed all hope, she never lost the will to live and that is what helped her defeat him. Lucied was a key part of that. She further says that heroes are mere sacrifices made for the good of others. She asks Ashley if even knowing this he still wants to return to Filgaia. Without hesitation, he answers yes. When you regain control, move forward throwing knives at the cylinders until you find the blonde girl again. She asks Ashley if he is willing to face Lord Blazer and he says yes. She then says to look for her when she returns to Filgaia and they will fight together. Continue forward until you reach another crystal. Anastasia says that she can’t go on from here, but that if Ashley wants so deeply, she can find a way back to Filgaia.

At Valéria Chateau, Ashley’s communicator signal is detected, but it is too weak to determine her exact location. Irving informs the group and says that Ashley must be in some parallel dimension and that there is a small chance of rescuing him by using the Millenium Puzzle to open a bridge between this world and the world where he is. Despite not being very confident, Lilka accepts the task. The group heads to Sword Cathedral and there Lilka activates the device.

MILLENIUM PUZZLE

There is a door to the north and five crystals that transport to different areas. You can go in any order. I’ll go clockwise, if you want to go with me, head to the crystal to the east. Use the Fire or Ice Rod and shoot the silver blocks to clear the path to the next crystal. In the next area, go to the end and shoot the block. Walk to the end and shoot the other block. Step on the second to last square to the south and shoot the block. Follow it to the end and shoot it again. Tap the crystal to the next area and then the next. Shoot the block. Step on the southwesternmost square and shoot the two blocks (the northern one first). Now step on the northwestmost square and shoot the other block. Step on the northeastmost square and shoot the block again. Step on the southeasternmost square and shoot the northernmost block. Tap the crystal to the next area and then move on to the next one. Shoot the block ahead. This path is completed. Head to the crystal to the southeast.

Get past the moving platforms at the right time and head to the next area. Now a room with blocks forming squares. Drop into the square to the south. Now fall into the southeast one and then the next one, but to the left. Tap the crystal and the next area. Keep moving forward, being careful on the moving platforms. After that, there’s no secret. Just move forward and shoot the block at the end. Head to the southwest crystal (we’ll leave the southern one for last). Climb onto the platform to the northeast and shoot the block. Touch the crystal. Here there are two moving platforms. Shoot the one on the right with the Ice Rod. When it reaches the southern part, climb on it and then go to the other one and follow it to the next crystal. Now just move forward and shoot the crystal at the end. Head to the crystal to the west. Carefully navigate the moving platforms to the next one. Drop to the lowest part and touch the crystal. In the next area, head west and shoot the block to the north. Drop to the lower part, step on the platform to the northeast and shoot the block. Get off the platform and shoot again. Step onto the platform to the north and shoot again to reach the crystal. Drop down to the lowest part and head to the crystal to the west and then the next one. Shoot the block ahead. Now head to the crystal to the south.

Save and head to the next crystal. Now you must step on the colored pillars and suspend them as follows: 4 yellow blocks, 3 red, 2 green and 1 blue. This will free up the passage. Head to the crystal and then to the next one. Shoot the block at the end and a huge block will appear in the center of the room. Head towards the door to the north for a cutscene. Lilka tries to activate the block, but apparently without success. The group retreats and the scene changes to the Memory Maze. Ashley and Anastasia follow a road and almost at the end of it, Anastasia says that she doesn’t want to be alone in this place, that she never asked to be a hero and was always afraid to fight, but she had no choice. Ashley invites her to come with him, but she says that she no longer belongs to that world and that this is now her home forever. Ashley says she will find another way to save Filgaia other than sacrificing herself and crosses the portal between the two worlds. Anastasia tells Lucied to follow him and help with whatever is needed.


EPISODE 34 – THE WILL OF THE GUARDIANS [DTEP34]

After a few scenes, the gang is all together. Irving updates Ashley on the Filgaia situation. With Odessa defeated, the eyes of the world turned to another threat. Apparently, the planet is being slowly devoured and the cause of this is unknown. Our main mission is to discover the cause and prevent the destruction of Filgaia. Tim says that the Chief of Baskar might know what to do, and the group decides to go there. Ashley talks to Irving about him being a descendant of Anastasia and with Lord Blazer inside him, they are technically enemies. Irving says this may be true, but even Lord Blazer’s power can be used to save Filgaia. The others say they will support Ashley no matter what. Okay, before going to Baskar, go to Sielje’s library and talk to Karayan. Then go to Island Outpost as Lilka, talk to John Day, he will teach her the Level 3 Force “EXTEND”. When using it with a single target spell, it will hit a group and if the spell hits a group, it will hit all enemies or allies. From that moment on, you will also be able to create level 2 spells in any magic shop. Okay, now, head to Baskar.

The Chief says that the seer’s prophecy is coming true and that soon the power of the guardians will diminish until it disappears and then it will be the end of the planet. Tim asks if there’s nothing he can do with the power he has. The Chief says that it may be possible to channel the guardians’ will to Tim, but to do so, they need to go to their sacred sanctuary, the “Altar of Sacrifice”. Tim says that before he was scared that he would have to die to save the planet, but now he’s not scared anymore. This does not mean that he intends to sacrifice himself at this moment. After the conversation, talk to the townspeople and then leave, teleport to Guild Galad and take the hovercraft. Head south along the east coast until you reach Island Outpost, look east of the island for a somewhat hidden beach and disembark. Search this area to find the altar.

SACRIFICIAL ALTAR

Continue forward until you reach a hole in the ground. Throw a knife at the red button to the northwest. Continue to another hole, kick the wheel on the right pillar and take a knife to the button. In the next area, there is a dragon statue. Stand south of it and rotate the camera. You should see an entrance at the bottom of the room. Follow this entrance to a room with symbols on the floor. Step on the bow and arrow symbol and stay there for a few seconds to open the door to the north. Go in and get the STONE DRAGO from the chest. Enter the portal ahead to return to the dragon statue. Continue forward until you reach a chest that contains a SUNBIRD HAT, a helmet for Ashley. Pull the lever. Now move the southeast block north once, west three times, and south twice. Move the other block to the space between the two stairs. Climb up and pull the lever. In the next room, there is a lion statue. Kick the pillar beneath the platform to the north. Take a HYPER GEAR from the chest, helmet for Brad. Underneath the platform to the south, there is an entrance. Follow it until you reach a room with four statues around a clock on the floor. Climb to the highest part and fall on top of the western head and with the Fire Rod, shoot the southern head. This will open the door to the north. Follow it and get a STONE LION from the chest. Enter the portal to return to the lion statue and go through the northwest door.

Save and in the next room, step on the button to move the obstacles. Step on the button to the west of the chest and fall into the hole to the north to return to the beginning of the room. Climb to the highest part and fall to the chest that contains a MIR FEATHER, helmet for Tim. Climb up again and fall on the northernmost button. Go to the next room. Here is a statue of a woman (or mermaid, I don’t know!). Go to the lower part and kick the blocks to the west to reveal a passage. Follow it until you reach a room with several colored symbols on the floor and 3 colored statues that you can move. Forget the symbols and simply move the statues to the pools of water in the corners of the room. It doesn’t matter which one goes where, you just can’t put two statues in the same puddle. This will open the door to the north. Go in and get a STONE GOD from the chest. Step into the portal to return to the woman’s statue. Go through the door to the east.

Watch the scene, Gaia, the consciousness of all the guardians communicates with Tim. Pooka says she guided him here according to their will and Gaia says Tim must accept his destiny as a Pillar. Tim asks what is happening to Filgaia and Gaia responds that he is being devoured by another world and that the only way to stop him is to release all the power of the guardians and for that, Tim must be sacrificed. But he says he doesn’t accept it, not because he’s afraid of dying, but because he doesn’t want to give his life for something he doubts. Pooka then tells Gaia that she will help Tim discover the answers to his questions. Gaia agrees, but says that Tim must make his decision before it is too late. Tim will then learn the level 3 Force “DIVIDE”, which reduces all enemies’ HP by half. Outside, teleport to Sielje and go talk to McGreggor in his room to find out the location of Grotto of Lourdes. He says it’s on a peninsula southeast of here, but to get in you have to go through a retinal scanner. Leave the city and teleport to the hovercraft and head south to the next beach. Disembark and look at the very end of the peninsula.


EPISODE 35 – PAINFUL MEMORIES [DTEP35]

GROTTO OF LOURDES

Examine the door to the north as Kanon and it will open. Go forward to a room with a save point. Enter through the door that opens, go to the next area and go north on the left side using the hook. At the end, fall to the bottom and get the Tool “RAD BLADES” from the chest for Kanon. With it, you can cross lava without getting hurt. Use them to get to the lever to the south and pull it to open the door to the north. Follow it and step on the pedestal. Kanon will have a memory of her childhood, when she was still called Aisha Bernadette, apparently not very pleasant memories. After the cutscene, return to the save point room and go through the northwest door. Just move forward using Kanon’s tools whenever necessary until you reach another pedestal. Step on it for another souvenir. Kanon’s mother says that she has the blood of the Sword Mage and should not forget that, even in the greatest difficulties. Kanon begins to feel very uncomfortable with these memories.

Return to the Save Point room and go through the door to the south. Use the Rad Blades on the sides to avoid falling into the water. In the next area, go left and use Pooka to get a MEGA BERRY from the chest. Go back and go right. There’s no way around it, you’ll have to walk through lava to get to the lever. Pull it and go to the next room. Step onto the pedestal for another souvenir. It seems that Aisha’s family was killed by monsters and from that moment on she decided to become an exorcist. Return to the Save Point room and go through the southeast door. Go to the next room and use the hook until you reach two chests containing a CREST and a BIG BERRY. Use Pooka to get another BIG BERRY and a LUCKY CARD from the other two chests. Pull the lever to open the door. Climb onto the wooden box and kick the wall to move it. Go to the next room and step on the pedestal. You will know that Lord Blazer feeds on negative emotions and becomes increasingly powerful and his flames consume everything in sight. The only thing that can defeat him is the sword Argeltahn. Ashley has both within her and is walking a tightrope between the power to save and the power to destroy.

Return to the Save Point room and go through the southwest door. Go forward and collect a BIG BERRY and a MINI CARROT from the chests along the way. A little further ahead, use Pooka to get a MAIN GAUCHE, a weapon for Kanon. Now turn the camera and you should see a door at the bottom. Position yourself south of it and use the grappling hook to get to it. Climb the ladder to the top and the floor will give way causing you to fall into a room with four chests, each containing a DUPLICATOR. Collect everything and fall into the lit hole to return to the previous room. Go to the next room and step on the pedestal. You will learn that during the battle against Lord Blazer, Anastasia realized that she could not destroy him and as a last resort, she sacrificed herself to imprison him. But as long as there are negative feelings in the world, he can break free at any time. Kanon will learn Force level 3 “GAT LV.3”. That’s all to do here. Try to go back and Irving will contact you saying that Marina has been kidnapped.


EPISODE 36 – FLAMING FURY [DTEP36]

Back at the Chateau, Irving reads the kidnapper’s note saying that Ashley should meet him at a place called the Lost Garden. Although it’s not signed, Irving says it’s about Caina, who is apparently still alive and wants revenge. Ashley is furious, but Irving, for obvious reasons, asks him to control himself. He leaves the Chateau and teleports to Damzen, takes the hovercraft and heads to an island right in the center of the inland sea. He looks there for a building.

LOST GARDEN

Go forward into the next room. Step on the red button on the right to go down the one on the left. Now step on the one on the left and go to the next area. You will see a block with a smiley face and another smiley face on the ground. Right now, there’s nothing we can do here. On the right, there are two corridors. Go to the right and enter the room at the end. Use a Duplicator to open the chest containing a CREST S. Go back, follow the left corridor and enter the next room. Step on the light symbol and you will have to leave a character here, it just can’t be Ashley. Leave Kanon. Follow the door that opened, continue forward to a room with red and blue buttons. Go up the ramp and land on the red button to the south. Land on the blue button to the east and then step on the next two to reach the next room. Another pentagram. This time, leave Lilka.

Go forward, step on the red button on the right. Step on the three red buttons to the southeast and then step on the red one to the southwest. Continue forward to another room with red and blue buttons. Step on the red button just to the north and head east, stepping on the next buttons until you reach a chest that contains the “PHANTOM FANG” Arm for Ashley. Step on the other blue button to proceed. Another pentagram. This time, leave Brad. Continue forward to a room with a moving platform. Step on the blue button on it and fall back to the platform. Step on two blue buttons on the left to bring you to the floor level. Step on the red button and return to the blue buttons. Drop to the platform and step on the red buttons to the north. Drop to the other platform that will take you to the door to the next room. Another pentagram. I guess I don’t need to tell you who you should leave, right?

Continue forward to a room with more red and blue buttons, but now also has green ones. If you want, read the stone tablet just to know that Caina is angry with Ashley for killing Vinsfeld and that she wants him to feel the same pain as her. Well, step on the red button on the right and then follow the path of buttons on the left until the green one. Go back and step on the other green switch to the south. Throw a knife at the wall so that it falls into the cylinder. Go forward to find Caina and Marina. Caina says that Ashley will feel what it’s like to lose someone important and prepares to kill Marina, but before she can, Ashley uses her power and goes on the attack.

BOSS:

Special Cocytus Squad Member: CAINA

You start as the new and improved Knightblazer. Use Gun Blaze on Caina, about three of these should finish her off. If she causes any negative status with Gate of Isolde, use items to heal yourself. When you defeat her, you should earn a WAR RESPITE.

Before dying, Caina still declares victory and soon Ashley finds out why. Seeing him in that form, Marina becomes very scared and moves away from him.


EPISODE 37 – THE NUCLEAR DRAGON [DTEP37]

Back at the Chateau, Ashley tries to explain herself to Marina, but she doesn’t want to talk. Meanwhile, at the Sielje observatory, scientists spot a huge nuclear mass heading towards Filgaia. This is the Grausswein nuclear weapon, which is nothing more than a dragon. Guild Master Galad says he won’t explode immediately upon landing, he needs to absorb a large amount of energy first, which means we can lure him wherever we want and defeat him before he absorbs any energy. That said, the Master says they can use Guild Galad as bait, since he’s the one to blame for all this. At the Valeria Chateau, Irving tells the others to prepare for battle, but that Ashley cannot take part due to her current emotional state. When she is ready, talk to Erwin and choose the first option to leave.

BOSS:

Nuclear Dragon: GRAUSWEIN

Nuclear Sphere can deal up to 1600 to everyone. Fortunately, he rarely uses it. Killer Maze also hits everyone and can do around 900 damage. Meltdown deals similar damage to a character and can even paralyze them. If you have one, use a Lucky Card and destroy the belly first. Have Tim use First Aid all the time while the others send out their best attacks. If you want, you can try to steal a LUCKY CARD from him. After a few turns, Irving says that the energy in the dragon is increasing and that it could explode at any moment and that it may be too late to save Filgaia. Ashley then takes off to face the dragon and a new battle begins. Just use Gun Blaze and heal yourself if Ashley’s HP drops below 1500. When you defeat him, you should get a FULL CARROT.

Lord Blazer takes the opportunity to try to take control of Ashley and free himself. Ashley tells the others to finish him off before that happens, but they refuse. Not even Kanon can raise his hand to attack him. Then Marina appears and, with great difficulty, manages to calm him down.


EPISODE 38 – LEGEND OF THE LAST DRAGON [DTEP38]

In the Chateau meeting room, Irving says that the mission was a success and that now any trace of Odessa is gone forever. Irving asks if there were other dragons they could use in this fight and Guild Master Galad tells him about a legend of the last dragon called “Lombardy”. Irving then assigns the group the mission of finding Lombardy and convincing him to help us. His likely location is in a place called Sleeping Volcano. When he regains control, he leaves the Chateau and goes to some city. In the magic shop, he erases the Saber spell and creates it again using the Crest S. Now it will be more powerful. He also creates the Hi-Revive and Armor Down spells. In the Arms store, he upgrades the Phantom Fang and in the PS store he increases everyone’s resistance to negative statuses. When he’s ready, teleport to Meria and head to the Live Reflector. He activates the yellow panel and enters the portal. On the other side, go out and look in the northwest part for the entrance to the volcano.

SLEEPING VOLCANO

This place looks like a maze, but it’s easier than it looks. The passage to the next area is to the north. You will see black gas coming out of the ground. Shoot him with the Fire Rod to proceed. In the next area, you will come to a crossroads. With the Rad Blades, head north and kick the silver chest to get the “MINI SCUD” Arm for Brad. Go back and head west. Shoot the gas and return to the previous area and head south. Go forward and on the way collect a MOON PIN from the chest, a helmet for Lilka. In the next area, save and move on to the next one. Go near the entrance on the left, but don’t go through it. Face north and use the Rad Blades to get to the other side. Follow the passage to the northeast and shoot the gas to the north. Go back and now, follow the passage to the southwest.

Head to the next area to the north. Now another little maze. Here there are two chests containing a FULL REVIVE and a MEGA BERRY. Go through the entrance to the east, near that last chest. Shoot the gas and move forward until a dead end. Examine the small rock and use a bomb on it to release the gas. Shoot the gas to reveal a passage. Follow it to find Lombardia. He says that he knows what is happening to Filgaia and that the same thing happened to his world ages ago. The group asks for his help to stop this, but he refuses as he does not believe that mere humans can perform such a feat. But the group insists and, seeing their determination, Lombardy decides to test our strength.

BOSS:

Dragon Caliber: LOMBARDIA

Its main attack, Dragonic Blaster, hits everyone and deals up to 1600 damage. Use a Lucky Card and attack the belly first. Have Tim use First Aid every turn. With Lilka, use Saber and with the others, send your best physical attacks. When you defeat him, you should earn a FULL CARROT.

Lombardy is still not convinced, but the group does not want to give up. The volcano starts to erupt, so Lombardia finally decides to help us. Now we have the ultimate vehicle. With Lombardia, we can reach places previously inaccessible by any other means. In the meeting room, Irving says that the world that is swallowing Filgaia comes from a place called the Kuiper Belt. You can’t destroy it, but it might be possible to imprison it in some kind of container. Irving says that there are places called Raypoints where Filgaia’s life energy is released. If we can transform this energy into an artificial living being, perhaps we can attach the Kuiper Belt to it. Therefore, our next mission is to find the 4 Raypoints and release the energy contained in them. But first, let’s take the opportunity to do a few optional things.


EPISODE 39 – THE IMMORTAL NOBLE [DTEP39]

Let’s go after the items scattered around the world. Keep in mind that Lombardy cannot land in water, forests, or rough terrain, although this is not a big problem and will save you time. Well, let’s go. On the large island northeast of Meria there is a SCAPEGOAT in the south and a DUPLICATOR in the northwest. On an island just east of Guild Galad there is a LUCKY CARD. On an island a little northeast of Guild Galad there is a WAR RESPITE. On a small island south of Guild Galad there is a STR APPLE. In an area northwest of Island Outpost there is an ELVEN BOOTS in the southeast part, and in the eastern part there is a WAR RESPITE. Near the mountains to the southeast is a DUPLICATOR. On a plateau near Holst there is a CREST. In the desert west of Holst there is another DUPLICATOR. On a small island southwest of Quartly there is a SCAPEGOAT. In a forest southeast of T’Bok Village there is a RES APPLE (Okay, we could have gotten this one much earlier, my fault). On a small island in the southernmost part of the world map there is a WAR RESPITE. On a tiny island east of Island Outpost is a BULLET LOAD. Land on the southern part of the peninsula that heads towards the inland sea and head north for a long way to a dead end. Search here to find a VIPER FANG. Keep this item at all costs, as it will be essential in an optional boss later on. That’s all for now. Now head to an area surrounded by mountains south of Guild Galad and look here for a castle.

CRIMSON CASTLE (OPTIONAL)

Climb the stairs and go through the door on the left. Follow the next one to the northeast and drop down from the bottom. Take the WAR RESPITE from the chest. Go back south and repeat the path to reach the other chest on the right that also contains a WAR RESPITE. Go back to the first room and this time go right and then to the next area. Climb the stairs and in the next area, go through the door to the north and take the 2 WAR RESPITE chests. Go back and fall to the bottom, get 2 WAR RESPITE from the chests. Go through the right door and then south. Climb the ladder and pull the lever on the left. Go back south to the starting room, go through the northwest door, go down the stairs and go forward until you reach a corridor with two doors. Enter the northeast one, pull the lever, go back and follow the one further south. Go north, southeast, pull the lever, go back and go through the door to the northeast. Continue east, enter the door at the bottom, pull the lever, go back (the door to the east has a save point) and head south to the next area. Go through the door west of this one and now just go forward for a long way until you reach a room with a coffin. From inside him comes that girl that Ashley found in Memory Maze and she is none other than Marivel.

She reveals that she is part of a race called the Crimson Nobles, who are the true lords of Filgaia and as such cannot tolerate what is happening on the planet and so joins the group. It already comes with the “ELECTEL” Tool that fires an electrical charge that serves to activate certain mechanisms. It also upgrades the Map Scope, so we can now see the map as we walk around it. Marivel can learn spells from enemies using the Skill Drain magic on them. In a separate topic there will be a list of all the spells she can learn and where to get them. I suggest she learns as many as she can. Anyway, enter the castle again, go through the door to the east and then into the next area. Go through the door to the right of the stairs to reach a library. Notice that on the south wall there is a lightning symbol. Use the Electel there to open a secret passage. Follow it until the end to find an object that will give the level 2 Marivel dela Force “ASGARD”. Exit the castle.

Head to Guild Galad and go to the throne room. Talk to Noel and he will teach Ashley his Level 3 Force “FULL CLIP” which allows you to fire all the bullets from an Arm at once. Depending on the Arm you choose and how you evolve it, this could be the strongest attack in the game. Go to the PS store and put the same skills on Marivel that you put on Lilka and Tim. If you haven’t already, upgrade Brad’s Mini Scud. In the magic shop create the HypeWeapon magic. Go back to Thunder Lion Cage (it’s just east of Quartly) and right at the entrance you should see a lightning symbol in front. Use Electel to open a secret passage. Go in and get a BLOODY CAPE, armor for Marivel, and a MECHA BOOST from the chests. Leave this place and head to the large island in the northeast part of the world map. Look in the green area in the very center of the island for a town called Palace Village. There isn’t much to do here other than buy new equipment for the group. This is the last place you can do this. Ok, we’re done with the optional events for now, let’s go after Raypoints. You can go in any order on three of them (one will need a certain item to proceed), but I’ll go first on the one that has an item that will be very useful to us in the immediate future. Take Lombardy and look in the southwest part of the map for a floating island. Enter it.


EPISODE 40 – NO MORE SACRIFICES [DTEP40]

RAYPOINT WING

Go forward, use Air Ballet on the board to form a bridge. In the next area, shoot the board on the right, climb on it and use Pooka to get the Tool “MIST CLOAK” from the chest for Tim. With it, we can cross certain walls and also small spaces on the floor. Use it to go to where the golden crystals are. Shoot the left plank and float to it and then to the door to the west. In the next area, use Pooka to get a CREST from the chest. In the next room, stand in front of the ventilation duct and use the Mist Cloak to reach the door to the northwest. Follow it and then to the next area to see a kind of roulette wheel. Shoot it with Air Ballet until the rooster is facing east. Return to the previous room and use the Mist Cloak in front of the western duct and use it again to cross the grate. Take a FATE STAFF from the chest, weapon for Tim. Return to the roulette wheel and shoot until the rooster is looking south. Return to the previous room and use the Mist Cloak to reach the door to the north. Move forward to face a boss.

BOSS:

Spriggan: WING KNIGHT

If so, use a Lucky Card and destroy the shield first. It is weak against earth, but can use Mirror Coat, so be careful. After the shield drops, equip Grudiev on Tim and when his FP reaches 50, use Combine to do some serious damage. The others use their best attacks. When you defeat him, you will win a NISABA WING, a helmet for Tim.

Save and go to the next room. Step into the ventilation duct and use the Mist Cloak to get to the top floor. Here there is a room to the north and four side paths. Follow the northwest path, shoot the two boards and head to one of them. Float to another one in the southwest corner and from there float to the door in the northwest corner. Get a STAR PIECE from the chest. Return to the starting area and follow the southwest path. Go to the next room, use the grappling hook to get to where there is a button on the floor. Step on it and fall. Stand in front of the duct and use the Mist Cloak. Now float to the grate and cross it. Take the MOON PIECE from the chest. Go back and follow the path northeast. Enter the next room, shoot the board, go up the stairs, but don’t step on the button. Use Mist Cloak to float over it and then float to the next area. Take the SUN PIECE from the chest. Go back and follow the path to the southeast. Enter the next room from the east side, shoot the gray block with the Air Ballet and use Pooka to get a CLOUD PIECE from the chest. Return to the starting area and go through the door to the north.

Here there are four pedestals where you can use the 4 items you just picked up. Use them in this order from south to north: Star Piece, Sun Piece, Moon Piece, and Cloud Piece. This will open the door to the north. Follow it to reach a large green crystal. A voice communicates with Tim and asks him what his reason for fighting is. After much thought, Tim responds that he wants to live in a world where no one else has to sacrifice themselves to protect the ones they love. The Raypoint’s energy is then released and Tim learns his Force level 4 “HI-COMBO”. With it, Tim can summon the golden guardians. We don’t have any yet, but we’ll get there soon. Now that we have the Mist Cloak we can do some more optional events. Head to Gate Bridge and enter from the west side. Go through the grate and get the “BLAST’EM” Arm for Ashley from the chest, touch the control panel to raise the bridge. Exit and teleport to Sielje, take the hovercraft, go under the bridge and search the island just ahead for a FULL CARROT. Teleport to Guild Galad and fly to the Sacrificial Altar and then land on a beach a little to the south. Search here to find a cave.

WEREWOLF’S DEN (OPTIONAL)

Go to the next room, it will be very dark in here. Go through the door on the left, keep leaning against the wall until you see a different part, use a bomb to open the way. In the next room, use another bomb on the wall a little ahead, enter and fall to the place where the pentagram is. A voice echoes saying that if they want his power they will have to say his name. In case you don’t remember, Anastasia’s wolf’s name is “Lucied”. Ashley will be transported to another place where she will meet Lucied. This one asks why Ashley fights. He says that he just wants to have a peaceful life alongside Marina and his friends and to achieve this he will fight until the end. Lucied then gives his power to Ashley. The Knightblazer’s Brave Fencer attack will be replaced by the “Mad Lucied” attack. Leave this place and go to Meria. Enter the castle and go to the library. As Marivel, examine the bookshelf east of the door and read the book. Leave the city and head to an island in the southwest part of the map. Land in the clearing in the middle of the forest and look for a building in the southeast part of the island.

PROMISED CATACOMBS (OPTIONAL)

Use the Mist Cloak to float to the other side and then use Electel on the lightning symbol to the northeast. Go through the door that appeared, go down the stairs and in the next area, use Pooka to get an EBONY SHADE, armor for Marivel, from the chest on the left. Take the Tool “WINDUP KEY” from the chest to the north for Marivel. With it, you can activate certain mechanisms. Use it on the block with the smiley face and go through the door on the right. Use the Windup Key on the block and follow the path it goes. Keep doing this until you reach the other side. Notice that at the end he will do a little jump. In this part, use the Mist Cloak to cross. Take a CREST and a MECHA BOOST from the chests. In the next room, which has some coffins, use a Duplicator to open the door to the east. Inside you will find the first golden medium “DAN DAIRAN”. Go back and head north until you reach a room where a scene begins. Marivel remembers that she is the last of her species and that Anastasia was her only friend. The fact that she is immortal made her see many being born and dying and this caused her a lot of pain, but she still decides to help humans once again. After that, you will leave the place. If you want, go back in and go all the way to the last room just to read the books there, but that’s not really necessary.

Return to Lost Garden and go to the place where there is a block with a happy face. Use the Windup Key on it and go through the door that opened. Get a FULL REVIVE, a DUPLICATOR, a CREST, a MECHA BOOST and the “MY MIKE” Tool for Marivel from the chests. Using it anywhere starts a battle, but if used near those floating pyramids… well, you’ll soon know what happens. For now, let’s move on to the next Raypoint. Teleport to Sielje, enter the city and in the magic shop create the Field, Irresist and SlowDown spells. If you haven’t already, upgrade Ashley’s Blast’Em. Go out and take the hovercraft, go under the Gate Bridge and disembark on a beach far to the north. Search here to find the second Raypoint.


EPISODE 41 – THE CONFUSED MERCENARY [DTEP41]

RAYPOINT MUSE

The door to the north is locked. Go back and look for a blue button behind one of the pillars. Press it to open it. Use the Mist Cloak to float to the door to the north. In the next room, use Pooka to get a BULLET LOAD from the chest. Enter through the door on the left, move the blocks to open a path, get a CREST from the chest on the left and go through the door on the right. Turn the valve and go all the way back to the room that was flooded. Float to the door to the east, use Pooka to get another BULLET LOAD from the chest and go through the door to the north. Get the blocks out of the way and get a QUICK KNIFE from the chest to the north, a weapon for Kanon. Go through the south door, turn the valve, return to the flooded room and go to the west door. Get another BULLET LOAD from the chest using Pooka, enter the door to the south, move the blocks to open the way, get a CUIRASS from the chest to the south, armor for Kanon, and go through the door to the north. Turn the valve and return to the flooded room and go through the gate to the north to find a boss:

Spriggan: MUSE KNIGHT

Use a Lucky Card, destroy the shield with physical attacks first. After he’s down, equip Tim with Moor Gault and use Combine to finish the job. When you defeat him, you will earn a SHAMIR, a helmet for Kanon.

Save and go through the bottom door. Take the Tool “JUMP SHOES” from the chest for Kanon. With it, you can jump to higher places as long as they have certain symbols on the ground. Use it to return to the previous room and go through the upper door. Examine the two statues and return to the room that was flooded. Step on the symbol to the south and jump to the door to the north. Go through the door to the west and go to the chest. Notice that one of the yellow floors near this chest is slightly darker than the others. Jump right there twice to land on the floor below. Go through the door to the north and then east. Jump to the top and go to the next room. There are several boards on the floor here. If you jump on them, they will fall to the floor below. Well, from left to right, jump on the third board, use Pooka to get 2 MEGA BERRY and 1 AMBROSIA from the chest, go through the door to the west, jump on the symbol to the southwest and get a REFLEX from the chest. This accessory greatly increases physical defense, in addition to reflecting spells. Go back and jump to the northeast symbol for the door above. Jump on the second plank from left to right and go through the door to the north. You will see several pedestals with statues and blue buttons that turn these statues, but three of them are broken. See the scheme below:

Statues F, M and P have broken buttons. Then rotate the others so that they point in the following directions: A – South, B – East, C – West, D – South, E – North, G – West, H – North, I – East, J – West, K – South, E – South, N – West and W – North. This will open the door to the north. Follow it to reach a large blue crystal. A voice communicates with Kanon. She says that to release Raypoint’s power, Kanon needs to eliminate the confusion in her mind. Kanon admits that she became a mercenary to free herself from her past as a fragile girl and also to be needed, to find a place with friends. But in the end, she always distanced herself from others. But now she finally understands that it is not the blood of the “Sword Mage” that makes her strong but her friends and that is why she no longer feels confused. The power of the Raypoint is then released and Kanon will gain her Force level 4 “GAT LV.4”. Teleport anywhere and fly to a round island northeast of Island Outpost. Look there for the third Raypoint.


EPISODE 42 – THE MEANING OF BEING A HERO [DTEP42]

RAYPOINT GEO

Head north to the next room. You will see a small pillar with a brown tip. Use a bomb near him to lower the obstacles. Do this on the next pillars until you reach the next room. Climb the ladder to the height of the chest and use Pooka to get the “EARTHQUAKE” Tool for Brad. With it, you can cause a tremor in a certain area that can activate certain mechanisms. Head to the northeast part where there are two doors. Go east, use Earthquake to make the platforms swing and use them to get to the other side. Head south and kick the silver chest to get the “SKY EYE” Arm for Brad. Head north to the next room. Climb the ladder and place a bomb in the northeast corner to open a path. Go through the door to the northwest, take the 4 WAR RESPITE chests and head west. Go to the middle of the platforms, use Earthquake and quickly go to the other side. Go through the door to the south and get a STR APPLE, VIT APPLE, RES APPLE and SOR APPLE from the chests. In the next room, use a bomb on the pillar, get a CREST from the chest to the southwest, fall down and return to the previous room and continue north to a room with a chest. Climb to the high part and keep falling until you reach it. Get a CROMWELL, armor for Brad. Fall into the hole and go to the door to the north. Boss Time:

Spriggan: GEO KNIGHT

Use a Lucky Card if you have one, destroy the shield with physical attacks. Then use Combine + Fengalon to finish the job. When you defeat him, you will earn a DEAD HEAT helmet for Brad.

Save and move on. Go through the door to the east, use Earthquake in the middle of the platforms and quickly go to the other side. Go into the next room and then the next, kick the large stone slab and then go back to the room with the rabbit statues. Go through the door to the north, use a bomb on the pillar and quickly head over to the fourth obstacle before it goes up. Take a GIANT FIST, weapon for Brad, from the chest. Go to the next door. Go forward until the large yellow crystal. A voice communicates with Brad and says that to release Raypoint’s power he will have to reveal his true nature. Brad says he has always been the same, but the voice responds that the fact that he was the hero of the past and a member of ARMS today are just facts and not the truth. Brad says that many think a Hero is a symbol of power, but for him a hero should be a symbol of hope for a peaceful future. That’s why he fights, not as a super powerful hero, but as part of a team that seeks true peace. The power of the Raypoint is then released and Brad will receive his level 4 Force “BOOST”, which triples the damage dealt by the chosen Arm.

Before going to the last Raypoint, stop by Lost City Archheim. Go to the northernmost house and go through the left door. Pull up against the rubble and use Earthquake to break the boxes. Then use Pooka to get a FULL REVIVE, 1 WAR RESPITE and 1 AMBROSIA. Go to the house to the southeast and go through the door next to the stairs. Use the Mist Cloak to cross the fence and get 1 SCAPEGOAT and 1 LIFE ORB from the chests. This accessory fully recovers the HP of whoever equips it at the end of the battle, but if you use Mystic together with it you can recover all the HP of all your allies. Go out and stop by Palace Village. Upgrade Brad’s new Arm and create the missing spells for Lilka. When you’re ready, head out and look a little north of town for the last Raypoint.


EPISODE 43 – THE INSECURE MAGIC [DTEP43]

RAYPOINT FLAM

Open the chest to the north to get the “CHANGE ROD” Tool for Lilka. It transforms large golden crystals into golden blocks and vice versa. Try it on the blocks just behind and use the grappling hook to get to the next area. Move forward taking the blocks out of the way. In the next room, light the red torches to open the next door. Follow it and get 1 STR APPLE, 1 VIT APPLE, 1 SOR APPLE and 1 RES APPLE from the chests to the east. Use the Change Rod on the southernmost row of crystals once and then cross the northernmost row. Go around and throw a knife at the gold block so it falls into the cylinder. Go through the door that opened, get a GIMMEL COIN from the chest, go back and go through the door to the south. Light the red torches and use the Ice Rod to extinguish the white torches. Go through the door that opened, use the Change Rod on the crystals to form a bridge and get a HOLY TABLET from the chest. Team in Lilka. In the next room, light the top torch and quickly light the bottom ones to open the next door. Follow it, form a bridge with the crystals and cross it to reach a chest containing a GAUNTLETS, a great accessory that increases physical defense. Continue forward and into the next room, quickly light all the torches to reveal a staircase, go down it, boss time:

BOSS: Spriggan: FLAM KNIGHT

If you have one, use a Lucky Card. Destroy the shield first with physical attacks. After he falls, use Combine + Schturdark to finish the job. When you defeat him, you will earn a TIARA, a helmet for Lilka.

Save and head north, be careful with the fireballs on the way. Light the red torches to open the next door. In the chest to the west, use Pooka to get a CREST. Go through the door to the east. In the next room, more fireballs. Proceed with caution and light the 3 red torches to open the door to the east. Follow it, on the way you should see a chest surrounded by white torches. Go forward and light the red torch. Go back and get a BLUE BLAZER, armor for Lilka, from the chest. Go to the next room. Use the Rad Blades to get to the chest to the north that contains a CALM PULBE, a weapon for Lilka. Go through the door to the southeast, go to the next room and quickly light all the torches to proceed. You will reach the large red crystal. A voice communicates with Lilka and says that if she wants to release Raypoint’s power she will have to show her power. Lilka says that she never felt confident in her magic, as she always lived in the shadow of her older sister, who was so admired by everyone. But then she understands that if she focuses on protecting those she loves, she will become the most powerful of mages. The power of Raypoint is then released and Lilka will receive her level 4 Force “DUAL CAST”, which allows her to cast two spells at once. And if you combine certain types of magic, you can create a new, more powerful one.

Try coming back and Irving will get in touch. Respond to the call and he says they are ready to capture the Kuiper Belt. The vessel, called the Trapezohedron, is released and apparently successfully captures the parallel world, but the group soon discovers that it is resisting. So we have to attack him now before he breaks free. But first, let’s look at some more optional events. First go to Odd Headquarters, go down to the bottom floor and use Electel on the little robot to get it out of the way. Go down the stairs. Here is a store where you can buy some items that are not for sale in the cities. As at this point in the game you should have plenty of money, feel free to buy whatever you need. When you’re done, use the Change Rod to bridge the crystals. Cross the grate with the Mist Cloak and then float to the northernmost part. Move the left box south twice, go back and face it, then throw a knife that will fall into the cylinder below and reveal a button on the wall. Press this button and a chest will drop. Open it to get a TEDDY BEAR, which isn’t the most useful accessory in my opinion, but… Well, anyway, leave and head to an island in the very south of the world map where there’s a huge crater. Look right in the middle of this crater (if the location doesn’t appear, go to Sielje and talk to the scientist at the observatory).

METEORITE CRATER (OPTIONAL)

Here is a floating pyramid. Leave her alone for now. Go through the door to the north and fall into the hole at the end. Go falling down the right side and float to the chest that contains a SNOWFLAKE. Go through the door to the west and then through the door at the top to the south. Go through the door east of this one, drop down on the left side and go through the next door and then the next one. Take the FIRE RAGE from the chest. Go through the door to the left of the one you came in and then through the upper door to the south. Get a WATER DRIP from the chest to the southeast, fall into the hole below and get a LIGHT FLASH from the chest. In the lowest part there is a DARK PITCH. Go through the door to the north, climb up to the top and fall down to reach the chest containing a THUNDERCLAP. Go through the door above the one you came from and fall into the southernmost hole. EPISODE 44 – THE ENEMY UNIVERSE [DTEP44]

TRAPEZOHEDRON

This place is quite confusing and getting lost here is very easy. So pay close attention. You start in a green area. There are four conveyors at the ends. Go to the transporter to the northeast and you will go to a blue area. Head north and turn right as soon as possible and go to the conveyor at the end to go to the red area. Go forward until two paths form. Head south and then east until another path to the south forms. Follow it and then east to the transporter. You will go to a yellow area. Go north until you can’t go any further, east until two paths appear. Head north to the end and then east to the conveyor to a purple area. Save and head to the transporter just to the north.

Still in the purple area, head north to the transporter. Gray area, go south until you can’t go any further and then go to the transporter to the northwest. Cyan area, go west, south and then east to the transporter. Brown area, head east and then drop into the conveyor to the south. Cyan area again, head west to the transporter. The biggest problem here is Arc en Ciel which can cause several negative statuses in the group. It would be good to already have Marivel’s Status Lok spell and use it right from the start. But if this is not the case, equip accessories that protect against paralysis, confusion, blocking and sleep. Otherwise, use a Lucky Card and destroy the mouth first. Throw in your best attacks and you probably won’t even need to heal. When you defeat him, you should earn a GIMMEL COIN.

Irving gets in touch and says we’re too late. What we destroyed was just the gecko’s tail, the main body managed to break free and is still out there. Back at the Chateau, Irving says that he will think of another way and that until then the group should rest. During the night, Irving has a very strange conversation with Altaecia and tells her that he needs her to save the planet. The next day, Irving sends us to investigate the appearance of monsters in an area near Holst. The one on the left has a chest that contains an AMULET, an accessory that increases luck by two levels. Go back and go through the right door and then the next one. Now look at your characters’ statuses and see if there is anyone with Luck in “BEST”. If not, equip the Amulet to the character with the greatest luck. EPISODE 45 – THE FINANCER [DTEP45]

FIERY WRECKAGE

Welcome to what’s left of Heimdal Gazzo. Once inside, use Earthquake to open some passages. Float to the first one to the southwest, touch the control panel, but the information on it is unreadable. Go south and get a RED JACKET, armor for Ashley, from the chest. Go back to the beginning, ignore the entrance to the north, go up the yellow ramp and float to the black part. Enter through the large door to the north, get an OBELISK GUN from the chest, a weapon for Ashley. Return to the previous area and use the hook on the pillar to the east. Float to the northern entrance and examine the sword embedded in the floor. It seems that Vinsfeld’s ghost cannot rest in peace and wants to take revenge on us.

Remaining Poltergeist: GHOST

He has the same attacks as before and some that were used by Caina, but now, he’s not messing around and can annihilate the group quickly if you hesitate. Well, what can I say? He’s undead, so if you use Tim’s Turn Undead he goes to the beyond once and for all. I really recommend you do this if you don’t want to get your ass shamefully kicked. When you defeat him, you will earn a FULL CARROT.

Return to the previous area, go up the yellow ramp and go to the black one again. In the next area, enter the side doors and activate the control panels, enter the middle door, activate the side panels, and then activate the large middle panel. The group searches for clues about the Kuiper Belt, but ends up finding something unbelievable: a list of Odessa’s financiers. Among them, a name they could never imagine being there: “Irving Vold Valeria”. But what the hell does that mean? Valeria Chateau gets in touch and says that Irving and Altaecia are missing, but they left a note. The group returns immediately and in the note Irving says that he had to take drastic measures to stop the Kuiper Belt, that his actions may be disapproved by many, but that he does not expect to be forgiven and is ready to sacrifice everything to save Filgaia. He then gives the group their final mission: to go to the heart of the planet, a place called Glaive Le Gable.

Ashley says this could be the final battle and he can’t force anyone to go with him and then asks everyone to take some time to think it over and decide what to do. After a few cutscenes, the group reunites and is ready for battle. Once you regain control, exit the Chateau and fly to the peninsula in the center of the Inland Sea. Land in the southeast part and go a long way to the end of the peninsula, looking in the green part for a tower.

SPIRAL TOWER

Go forward to the room after the stairs. There’s a really nasty trap here. On the bridge made up of blocks, some people fall when they step on them. Go to the second block on the left row and float over the third and also over the fifth. Get a MEGA BERRY from the northwest chest and head south. Go down the stairs and in the next room there is a black monolith and around it there are seven signs with messages and also buttons to press, more or less as in the diagram below:

Well, press the buttons in the following order: MOON, TIU, WOTAN, THOR, FRIGG, SATURN and SUN. This will open the door to the north. Float to the highest part and use Pooka to get a MEGA BERRY from the chest. Go south, go down the stairs. In the next room, you will have to do the same scheme as the previous one, but now you will have to be faster. Placing several bombs can help. When you do, float north, place bombs on the object to the southwest and run like crazy to the button to the southeast. Go to the door to the north, go down the stairs. In the next room, float to the platform with a blue arrow. Stepping on the arrows moves the platforms. Go to the other side, float to the path below and go through the door to the west. Take the Tool “FLARE GUN” from the chest for Ashley. It fires a fire shot upwards that illuminates dark areas and also activates certain mechanisms.

Go back and float to the platform with the red arrow, go to the other side and go to the door to the south. Use the Flare Gun to open it, go down the stairs. In the next room, float to the platform with the red arrow and head north to the other side. Float to the lowest platform, step on the arrow, go to the highest part and float to the platform with the blue arrow. Go to the other platform and float to the one with the red arrow to the north. Go to the other one to the east and float north. Go to the top platform and then the next one. Land on the blue arrow platform to the left and float to the left. Go to the door to the north, go down the stairs, use the Flare Gun to illuminate the place. Notice the torches that are lit, go through the door to the south, go down the stairs and in the next room light the same torches as in the previous room. Leave the southern torch for last and light it outside the square. Go through the door to the north, go down the stairs and in the next room a boss awaits you:

Saucer Organism: GRODINE

Destroy the claw first. It’s weak to thunder, so Combine + Leitea Salk will make things pretty quick. Lilka uses Spark and, if necessary, removes Disease from allies. When you defeat him, you should earn an AMBROSIA.

Save and move forward, go down the stairs and in the next room there are some black walls blocking the way. Upon examining them, a battle begins. Win and they disappear. In this room there are two, get them out of the way and go through the door to the north, go back and they will be restored. Go left and use the southernmost wall as a bridge to the other side, get an AMBROSIA from the chest to the northeast, go forward, after the stairs you will reach a room with more black walls and purple objects. Don’t touch any walls. Use bombs on the purple objects and step on the buttons to lower the walls. When you lower the southernmost one, remove the northern wall. Then stand on the southern wall and float to the door. Go down the stairs into the next room, more black walls. Go over the first one and float south. Go to a chest with an AMBROSIA. Go back and float from wall to wall until the fourth one. Float left and then to the fifth wall and right. Float to the door and then left. Use Pooka to get a MEGA BERRY from the chest and go through the door to the north.

Go down the stairs and into the next room, more black walls. There are four corridors full of them and you will have to choose one and remove all the walls in it. The shortest path is the one on the right, but the one on the left has a chest with a MEGA BERRY. Here there is also a lightning symbol on the northeast wall. Use Electel and follow the passage that opened. Kick the silver chest to get Brad’s final Arm, “EZ MISSILE”. Go back and go through the door to the south, go down the stairs and in the next room, four more corridors with black walls. Go down the leftmost hallway and remove the first two, remove the second from the next hallway, the third from the next one, and the last two from the rightmost hallway. Climb up to the left and continue using the walls and Mist Cloak when necessary to reach the door to the north. Keep going forward until you reach a room with an octagonal platform in the center. Terrible Guardian Monster: MANUFESTU

If you have one, use a Lucky Card. Destroy the legs first. Early on, use Thanatos X with Tim to avoid the attack that causes sudden death. He also has a fire attack that hits everyone and can take up to 2000 HP. If so, equip Fire Rings to the party to halve this. Other than that, you will have a very peaceful battle. Use First Aid whenever necessary and send your best attacks until you finish him off.

Now you have a decision to make. Ahead is the game’s last dungeon, Glaive Le Gable, but there are still some optional events to do and for that you’ll need to make it all the way back out of the tower. If you don’t feel like it and want to finish it quickly, skip the next two episodes and don’t worry, you shouldn’t have any difficulty defeating the final bosses, if you’ve followed this walkthrough so far. But if you want to do everything possible in the game, then follow me.


EPISODE 46 – THE IDIOT LIZARDS ATTACK AGAIN [DTEP46]

Once outside the tower, teleport to any city, upgrade your new Arms, create any magic Lilka is missing and acquire the “Param. Up” for everyone. When you’re done, go to the area south of Greenhell and fight the Melchom. The goal is to steal Lucky Cards from them. Get around 20 or 30, as to do the next side quests it is highly recommended that the group is at least level 55 (60 would be ideal). If you followed the walkthrough until here, I believe your group’s level is between 45 and 48. Well, there is a place where you can level up your characters relatively quickly. You will need three things: 1 – Lucky Cards, 2 – Tim’s Force Divide and 3 – Marivel’s Status Lok spell. See how to get it in the related topic. Once you have all of this, go to Whitered Ruins and get into a battle with an enemy called “Gagison”.

First of all, use Status Lok on everyone. Equip Zephyr on Tim and use the Custom Command “FP Charge”. When his FP reaches 75, use Divide on Gagison and he will transform into the monster Hyulkonton, which uses Arc en Ciel and Human Experiment that cause several negative statuses on the group. But thanks to Status Lok, you don’t have to worry about that. Use a Lucky Card, fill Ashley’s FP with Mini Carrots (you can buy them at Odd Headquarters) up to 100, use Access and send Gunblaze until you finish him off (he has 60000 HP, so this may take a while). Heal whenever necessary. By defeating him, you will gain 60000 experience, that is, with each fight, your group will gain at least one level. Repeat this process until you reach at least level 55. If you want to level up more, feel free. Once you’re satisfied, go to Damzen and, as Marivel, go to the Saloon and talk to the girl near the door to find out about a laboratory south of Sylvaland Castle. Teleport there and look southeast, in a location surrounded by mountains and the ocean.

FAB SCIENCE LAB (OPTIONAL)

Tell the truth, you had already forgotten about them, right? Well, Liz and Ard are back and, during a long and tedious conversation, they reveal that they are from another planet and want to return home. Their ship is here, but the security system prevents them from getting to it, and that’s where we come in. When you regain control, use Electel on the mechanism with the lightning symbol to open the door to the south. Follow it. After more small talk, continue to the next room. There are three control panels here. When examining them, you will have to answer a multiple choice question. When you answer all three questions correctly, the next door will open. The problem is that the questions are random, so I won’t be able to help you with this. Keep trying until you succeed. In the next room, 3 more panels with questions. Answer all three correctly to proceed. Keep going until something gets in our way. This is the “masterpiece” of “scientist” Liz, who is out of control.

Rampaging Monster Robot: BULKOGIDON

I have good news and bad news for you. The good thing is that he is weak against all elements. The bad thing is that any attack from him can kill your mages. But there’s other good news: Almost all of his attacks are single-target. Have a good stock of Revive Fruits (Buy at Odd Headquarters), equip everyone with Dark Rings (Buy at Valeria Chateau) to protect yourself from Schwartz Stahl and also to deal extra damage with normal attacks. Use a Lucky Card and destroy the belly first, as it has the only attack that hits everyone and can cause paralysis. Once it falls, the tricky part begins. He will keep using Drill Drager non-stop and every turn a character will die. Resurrect him immediately and try to attack with the other character. Until the drill is destroyed, don’t try to heal, it’s a waste of time. Resurrect, attack, resurrect, attack. It might take a while, but once the drill drops, things will get a little easier. Use Mini Carrots on Ashley until her FP reaches 100 and then use Access and another Mini Carrot. Now send Gunblaze at the bastard to deal over 20000 damage. Soon this metallic lizard will become scrap. When you defeat him, you will earn 2 COIN PURSE.

Go through the next door and watch the scene where Liz and Ard leave for their world… Yeah, not that time. Well, examine the object to obtain Marivel’s level 3 Force “LUCIFER” and level 4 Force “ASGARD 2”. Without further ado, leave this place. For the next optional dungeon, you will need 7 Duplicators. If you don’t have enough, head to the Meteorite Crater area and engage in battle against a monster called Babalou. You can steal Duplicators from them. When you have enough, head to an island far east of the world map and look for a building.

PIRATE’S WARREN (OPTIONAL)

Go through the door to the north. There are three locked chests here. Use Duplicators to open them and get 1 CREST E. When you create a spell with it, it will need half the FP. Also get 1 TALISMAN, an accessory that recovers HP every turn, and 1 ELVEN BOOTS. Go back and go through the door to the south. Three more locked chests. They contain 1 KID GLOVES, 1 ELVEN CLOAK and 1 AMBROSIA. Go back and head east across the bridge. Halfway down, you should see a dragon head at the top. Use the Flare Gun to open the door at the end. Follow it to find another locked chest, but something doesn’t want us to open it.

Monster Battleship: GATLORG

Compared to the previous boss, this one is a piece of cake, if you know what to do, of course. First of all, use a Lucky Card. Use Mini Carrots on Ashley until her FP is full, use Access, another Mini Carrot and send Gun Blaze. Tim and Lilka heal if necessary and attack with fire magic. Try to kill him before he uses Big Strength Thief, which drains a character’s HP and restores a lot of his own. Other than that, it’s a pretty easy battle.

Open the chest to obtain a POWER BOOST, the only accessory in the game that increases attack power. I suggest equipping it on Ashley, but it’s up to you. Get out of this place. Now the time has come to come to terms with the residents of those floating pyramids spread across the world.


EPISODE 47 – THE SEALED MONSTERS [DTEP47]

From now on, I recommend that you go back to Whitered Ruins and fight the Hyulkonton until you reach level 60 or 65. Go to a city, erase the Hi Revive spell and create it again using Crest E. Acquire another level of Stop. Up for everyone and save. Head to the Closed Mine Shaft, recover the group’s HP and use the Tool My Myke near the pyramid.

Bodyguard Monster: KOBOLD KING

Its main attacks are Buried Alive, which hits everyone and can cause up to 3000 damage, but this can be halved by equipping Earth Rings, Tactless should kill whoever is hit. Resuscitate him immediately. Otherwise, send your best attacks. Boost + Rail Gun, Fullclip and Gat. Lv 4 + Eagle Cut are very effective against him. Tim and Lilka must heal every turn and, if she has a break, use Mage Weapon or HypeWeapon on the warriors. Don’t forget to use a Lucky Card. When you defeat him, you will win the OMEGA CRUSHER, Brad’s best weapon.

This wasn’t that difficult, but don’t get used to it. Now head to Wind Tiger’s Den and use My Myke near the pyramid right at the entrance:

Use a Lucky Card and destroy the belly first. In the first turns, he will only use Barrier, which will protect him from spells. Use MageWeapon on Ashley and Brad, equip Dark Rings on them and start sending normal attacks. If Ashley’s FP reaches 100, use Access and continue attacking normally. The problem starts when the belly is destroyed. He will constantly use Whole Body Attack, which should kill whoever is hit, unless he has HP above 7000. Revive him when this happens and keep attacking until he is finished. When you defeat him, you will win a BLACK QUEEN, Lilka’s best weapon.

Teleport to Damzem, recover, save and head to Mt. Chug Chug. Use My Myke on the pyramid right at the entrance.

BOSS:

Vortex Monster Brothers: ZYCLUS & ZETRIM

Get ready for trouble, double trouble (sorry, I couldn’t resist, hehehe!). The biggest problem here is that they both have attacks that hit everyone and, if they use them in the same turn, they can cause serious damage. The worst thing is that they are very fast, so it’s a good idea to use First Aid with Tim, even if you don’t need it, just in case. First of all, use a Lucky Card. Attack Zyclus first, as he can fully heal your brother. They are weak to thunder, so equip Brad with a Thor Ring and use MageWeapon on him and send normal attacks. Tim and Lilka use thunder magic and heal whenever necessary. After Zyclus drops, things will get a lot easier. Just finish the job with the other brother. When you defeat them, you will earn a MAD GOOGLES, helmet for Marivel.

Now head to Halmetz, recover, save and go to the pyramid in the northeast corner of the city. You already know what to do, right?

Dragon of the Bowels of the Earth: TITANIUS

Things started to get really complicated. Not that he has super powerful attacks capable of annihilating your group, the problem here is that every three turns he fully recovers his HP and there is no way to avoid that. In other words, you must defeat him in 3 turns. Well, for that, have Ashley, Brad and Lilka on the front line. Equip Brad with a Wind Ring and fill Ashley’s FP up to 100. Use Access and then use Mini Carrots until the Knightblazer’s FP is fully filled. Use Quick on everyone and MageWeapon on Brad. After all this, wait for him to recover his HP and then start the assault. Send normal attacks with Brad, hoping for a Critical. On the third turn, use Boost + Rail Gun. With Ashley, use Gun Blaze twice and on the third turn use Last Burst. Lilka should heal and when not needed, use Hi Vortex, but on the third turn use Dual Cast + Vortex + Hi Vortex. That should resolve it. When you defeat him, you will earn the SHOTING STAR, Ashley’s best weapon.

Okay, now the stuff is going to get blurry and I really recommend that you get your party up to level 70 before moving on. When you’re ready, go to Slayheim Castle and activate the pyramid to the northeast.

Giant Monster of Light: XENON

The most recommended group here is Ashley, Lilka and Kanon. On the first turn, he must use Barrier, so take the opportunity to use a Lucky Card and fill Ashley’s FP with Mini Carrots. Have everyone equipped with Light Rings and, in the next turn, defend yourself with everyone, as he must use Xenon Ray Force, which can cause up to 7000 damage to everyone, in other words, game over. Next turn, use Mystic + Life Orb with Lilka. Ashley uses Access and then sends Mad Lucied. Kanon uses Eagle Cut. Lilka should do nothing other than heal or revive if he uses his physical attack, and if not necessary, defend himself. Destroy the belly first. After it falls, he will start using Xenon Ray Force more frequently. If it’s at the recommended level, just keep everyone’s HP full and you should be fine. He can also recover 8500 of his HP, but he doesn’t use it much. Continue with the attack and when you get about 50000 HP out of him, you can risk using a Last Burst and Gat. Lv 4 to finish the job. Anyway, when you defeat him, you’ll win a VIOLATOR, Kanon’s best weapon.

Head to Holst, heal, save and enter the Arguel Mine Shaft to the north. Go forward to the save point. In the next room, take the path to the right and go forward to the next room, where the pyramid is.

Enter the battle with Ashley, Lilka and Marivel, all equipped with Fire Rings, as right away he will use 1 Trillion Degrees, which will cause up to 3500 damage with the Fire Rings. Stand up for yourself with Ashley. Lilka uses Mystic + Life Orb and Marivel uses Sleep. In the following turn, everyone must be in “Condition Green” (if it is at the recommended level). If Sleep worked, defend yourself with Marivel, use Access with Ashley and Lilka uses Quick on Marivel. If Sleep didn’t work, equip everyone with Dark Rings, as he will use Black Nova. Try putting him to sleep again. If it works, great. Otherwise, reset the game, as your chances of survival will become almost nil, as it becomes completely unpredictable. It has a physical attack that deals up to 6500 to a character and Void Effect nullifies assistance spells. But if everything goes well, use a Mini Carrot on Ashley. Lilka uses Quick on Marivel and the little vampire uses Lucifer. Next turn, Mad Lucied, Mystic + Life Orb and Sleep hoping no one dies, because if that happens, it’s over. If Sleep catches on the next turn, Mad Lucied, Saber and Marivel defend themselves. Keep following this scheme until you take about 50000 of his HP. Exit the mine and teleport to Halmetz. Let’s make some preparations to face the next monster. Put Ashley, Brad and Lilka on the front lines. Equip Ashley with Sheriff Star and medium Zephyr.   • Location: Acquire the Goddess Statue in Sacrificial Altar and, after passing through the Trapezohedron, speak to Colette in Baskar as Tim.
  • Custom Command: Invincibile – Immunity to any attack for one turn.
  • Combination: Seraphim Goat – Fully recovers the group and can kill all enemies.

Name: Justine

  • Location: Purchase the Lion Statue at Sacrificial Altar and, after passing the Trapezohedron, speak to Billy in T’Bok Village as Brad.
  • Custom Command: Branch Zap – Extends normal attack to all enemies.
  • Combination: Justine Attack – Non-elemental damage to all enemies.

Name: Zephyr

  • Location: Purchase the Dragon Statue at Sacrificial Altar and, after passing the Trapezohedron, speak to Marina at Valeria Chateau as Ashley.
  • Custom Command: Force Charge – Fills 25 FP.
  • Combination: Terra Faust – Damage from all elements to all enemies.

PERSONAL SKILLS [WA2PK]

These are called support skills, which provide some bonus to statuses or protection against negative statuses. To acquire them, you must go to a Personal Skill Shop, which is in any city, and spend Skill Points that are earned every time a character levels up.


Name: Cut FP Use

  • Effect: Each level reduces the FP cost for Arms, Spells and Skills by 1 point.
  • Recommended for: Nobody (Useless, don’t waste precious points on this).

Name: Restore HP

  • Effect: Recovers HP each time Force Level increases.
  • Recommended for: Everyone

Name: Critical

  • Effect: Increases the chances of dealing critical damage.
  • Recommended for: Ashley, Brad and Kanon

Name: Counter

  • Effect: Increases chances of counterattack.
  • Recommended for: Ashley, Brad and Kanon

  • Effect: At the end of the battle, converts remaining FP into HP.
  • Recommended for: Nobody (Totally unnecessary).

Name: FP Up

  • Effect: Fills the FP bar when in critical condition.
  • Recommended for: Nobody (Can live without it).

Name: Down Guard

  • Effect: Increases defense against sudden death.
  • Recommended for: Everyone (but don’t make it a priority).

Name: Up M Attack

  • Effect: Increases damage done by spells.
  • Recommended for: Lilka, Tim and Marivel

  • Effect: Increases defense against spells.
