Resident Evil Requiem – Bonus Mode Guide “Leon Must Die Forever”

Earning the platinum trophy in Resident Evil Requiem is a journey that demands strategy and multiple playthroughs, but with the right plan, you can optimize your time and enjoy each challenge. The difficulty to achieve the platinum trophy is considered moderate, taking between 20 and 40 hours, depending on your familiarity with the game and your individual skill.

Most trophies can be obtained offline, and there are no trophies that depend on online functionality. It’s important to keep in mind that many trophies are missable, especially those related to collectibles and specific actions, since the game doesn’t offer a chapter selection. Therefore, creating manual saves at strategic points is crucial to avoid frustration. The game’s difficulty directly affects the trophies; completing the campaign on Insane difficulty is necessary to unlock the Notable Agent trophy. This is, in fact, the most challenging trophy in the game.

It is recommended to play through at least two to three times to ensure you collect all the trophies without too much stress. Difficulty trophies are cumulative, meaning that completing the game on a higher difficulty automatically unlocks trophies for lower difficulties. Cheats do not disable trophies, and New Game+ only retains collectibles and bonus menu items, not story progress. The game offers 12 manual save slots and 3 automatic save slots, which is a valuable tool for managing your progress.

An essential tip is to manage your Challenge Points (CPs) well. Avoid spending these points on concept art and models before finishing the campaign on Insane difficulty. Prioritize the indestructible Koketsu knife, which will be crucial for a speedrun without healing or a blood collector. Then, invest in infinite ammo and infinite RPG, which will greatly facilitate playthroughs on higher difficulties. Distributing your manual saves throughout the main regions allows you to quickly return to collect missed trophies, if necessary.

The first stage of your journey should be a playthrough in Casual mode, focusing on collecting 100% of the items. In this difficulty, you’ll have more ammunition and face less resistant enemies, making it easier to obtain specific trophies. During the campaign, collect all possible items and, after each story-related trophy, create a separate manual save. This will allow you to easily return to previous areas if you miss something. Upon completing the game for the first time, you will unlock the Insane difficulty and all its challenges.

In the second stage, prepare for a speedrun without healing items or a blood collector. After the first playthrough, you’ll have approximately 27,000 PDs. Before starting, go to the Bonus Menu and purchase the Koketsu knife, which will be indispensable since you won’t be able to craft ammunition. During this speedrun, do not use healing items and do not pick up the Blood Collector. Monitor the challenges in the menu to ensure the counters remain at zero. On Casual difficulty, health regenerates automatically up to the Yellow state, so don’t worry about maintaining maximum HP. It’s crucial not to spend your extra PDs yet, as completing the speedrun in under 4 hours unlocks the Infinite Tape, allowing unlimited saves on Insane difficulty.

The third stage is playing on Insane difficulty. Now, with over 100,000 PDs accumulated, purchase infinite ammo and infinite RPGs. Start the campaign on Insane difficulty, using these resources to facilitate your progression. This will be the most challenging playthrough, but with infinite weapons, it becomes much more manageable.

Finally, the fourth stage involves collecting concept art and models. After completing Insane mode, use your remaining Champion Points to acquire all the Concept Art and Models, which cost a total of 10,000 points. Upon completing this purchase, you will unlock the coveted platinum trophy.
