Star Fox – Nintendo Switch 2 – Guide to unlocking all game endings

Star Fox has two distinct endings, and which one you’ll see depends entirely on the path you take throughout the campaign. The decisive choice happens in the sixth mission, which determines which version of Venom you’ll be sent to. Understanding the logic behind each route is what will guide you to the ending you want to see.

NORMAL ENDING:

The normal ending is obtained by following the most accessible path in the game, the one that leads you to Venom via Bolse. To reach Bolse, you need to complete one of the level five missions available on the standard route: Sector Z, Macbeth, and Titania. Any of these three can lead you to Bolse, and from there the next and final destination is always the first version of Venom.

An example of a complete route to this ending is the following sequence: Corneria, Meteo, Fichina, Sector X, Titania, Bolse, and Venom. It’s a shorter route in terms of difficulty and perfectly suited for those playing for the first time or who want to experience the story without tackling the game’s most demanding stages.

TRUE ENDING:

The true ending requires you to take the harder path and reach Area 6 before the final confrontation, as this stage unlocks access to Venom 2, where the real story conclusion takes place. Area 6 can only be reached via alternate routes in two of the available level five missions: Sector Z and Macbeth. Each of these has a specific condition to unlock the path to Area 6, so you’ll need to complete the correct objectives throughout the campaign to secure access.

An example of a complete route to this ending is the following sequence: Corneria, Sector Y, Aquas, Zoness, Sector Z, Area 6, and Venom 2. It’s a considerably more demanding route, with stages denser in enemies and more elaborate challenges, but it’s the only way to see the true and complete ending of Star Fox.
